Just fitted the lynx fairing on my KTM690 my only concern is the gap between the fairing and the side of the dash water can easily get into the wiring is yours like that also
I’m doing something similar with my 701. I’m strongly considering the Rade Garage fuel tank kit but I’ve hear of venting issues and fuel boiling on a hot day. I probably should have bought the LR. My goal is to have a lightweight ADV bike.
Also, on the Rade Garage fuel tank, I hear conflicting stories around the efficacy of the air filter. What has been your experience with the filter they provide?
Hey Fuj, thanks for your video. I'm hoping to pick up my new 701 this week, so I'm very interested in what others are doing with them. I've also ordered the Lynx fairing on advice from some 690 riders. It looks good. I'm interested in your RAM Mount for your phone. How have you found it. Is it rock solid? I'm still trying to decide between mounting phone for navigation or putting in a Garmin Zumo XT GPS unit. I'm pretty comfortable with Garmin's nav units, but also have Hema and Rever on my phone.
Hi Brent ,I have done 12 Thousand km on on my 701 and the filter works well ,saying that I have 3 filters and if dusty I would change them regularly ,I have the longer bolts on air filter retainer with 6 mm long nuts for easier fitting of filter . Hope that helps ,enjoy your new bike they are a blast 😀
About the GPS you can use a cheap GPS mount for 701 on the handlebar. Both feature a 4 bolt system and you can probably put many GPS on it. That's what I do with mine (tomtom). I also have a soft SW motech bag to fit a smartphone on it, and I 3d printed an adapter from the Tomtom mount to my bag so I can change between GPS or smartphone. Also there is the option to mount a ram mount bolt on the handle bar. That is something that I have done and it's perfectly fine.
Thank you for putting this together and sharing the info with us, definitely given me some ideas/inspiration. Your mate that did the work on your pipe... does he do this commercially or at a charge (and if so I would be interested in getting in contact with him please)?
Right - thanks mate, so would you know if all he did was cut back to the welded line and then "cut" back the pipe? It does sound good @@travelingtienes2594
Cut the back out at weld inserted a pipe down into the exhaust about 8” long left the catalytic converter in place ,sounds good, the cost a canton off beer 🍻
Hello! Im just wondering if you could tell me wich motorcycle jack you used in your video! Just got my new 2022 701 Supermoto and searching for a good one...:)
Hi snowwhite , 4 season jacket and pants , I ride in held gear in winter top quality made in Italy and I have fox legion jacket with removable arms for summer and jo rides with dryrider 4 season jacket and pants and legion in summer . If you need more info let me no ,style etc .
Thankyou for that. Will be getting this set up soon. Wondering, the ram mount you have. That’s not from the same company as you got the fairing? Just wanting a phone holder. Can you add any phone holder to this? Thanks again.

The kit is great , I have never boiled and I venting is a breeze when you get your head around the instructions 😅
Thanks! This tank will address my short range problem.

Curious about the post attached to the right side of the rack support - alternate stand or ...?
Yes it a support to stand bike up to change tyre when out on ride 😅
@@travelingtienes2594 cool who makes that?
Home made , extendable broom handle, or old crutches 👍
Good project! Total weight?
