Intro gives me The Patient vibes and thr vocals lead the song more toward Soen style for me. I really like your solo, i think that slide gives a really unique sound u dont get to hear often in such songs. I also enjoy this approach to solo that Adam Jones has, less is more, make the most of a given note instead of just playing a lot of notes. Really cool song, would like to hear some heavier, more riff driven stuff from you in the future! Also i recently got a new guitar and a luthier asked me to record some demos of it, do you have any tips on how to set up a camera or whether a phone camera and microphone will do fine?
Thank you, Feno - I appreciate it! Regarding the luthier, using a mic and a phone camera should do fine and get you pretty far. You can synchronise the audio to video with a clap :)
I had a year of lessons, but most of the difficult stuff is learned by myself. I have a strong opinion that it’s very much possible to learn an instrument on your own, if you have a strong enough motivation. But lessons on basic music theory and the general gist of “how” to play the instrument (picking, fretting) are essential :)
