We went to The Florida Everglades to catch frogs with Donnie from On the Hook Fishing, Inc., my friend Jose, and his kids Christopher and Gianclaudio! We were surrounded by gators while we were gigging frogs left and right! After our Everglades wilderness adventure, I cleaned the frogs to prepare them for the day we would cook them. Me, Jose, and his kids got together to marinate and fry up and eat these delicious frog legs!

Spearfishing is the most sustainable and ethical form of fishing. Fish speared while freedive spearfishing using a speargun, polespear or Hawaiian sling are fish, lobsters and other oceanic delicacies that have already reached maturity and have had a chance to breed. When commercial fishing nets are stripping our ocean's fish supply, freedive spearfishing is sustainable fishing that allows for the renewal of fish populations. Spearfishing, while freediving or scuba diving to hunt for seafood, are some of the most dangerous lifestyles. Spearfishing and freediving are more than hobbies, they are a way of life for many.

My mother use to cook frog legs that my father caught, she don't like it when the frog legs jumped in the pan when frying them. Lauren you look awesome too. Thanks for sharing.

Oh yea do yiu know who Jock Custou was? Kinda the father of under water exploration.
I use to do this in my younger days. Great memories brought back. Those were some fun nights on the farm ponds of central New Jersey. Great eating as well. The frogs we use to gig were 2 X the size of the ones you were catching. 20-30 per night, about 2 hours of work.

@@LaurenSarasua it's not as hard as you think once you figure out how to spot them at that speed you just point the gig at em n good to go it takes me a couple tries each time to get consistent but pretty easy actually

Those were alligators. Crocs are more south toward homestead I've been airboating out there for over 30yrs

@@adamyoung480 I think it’s just easier to catch them and is more humane but it’s just easier to catch them with a long net. They don’t get away that easily.
@@LaurenSarasua the way we used to catch them in the daylight was they love red color so you just use a hook and put something red on it and I’ll just go right after it has any water frog pick up the great thank you
