You have to admit, putting that Vaxleth kiss in the middle of the trailer was such a power move. They certainly knew what they were doing, and it definitely had the desired effect.
In the original the big, horned, murder man was a goristro demon from the abyss, but since we're in hell - and dont want to infringe on DnDs copyrighted material - it looks to be something a little different now. Like the knock-off "Onlooker" beholder in season 2
@ViewMasters Reactions Jay, as far as I know, Sam and his brother-in-law writes and performs all the music. So I think that's actually Sam singing that song and I think Sam and his brother-in-law wrote it. Neal Acree, of course, scores all the shows, but I like I said, I think Sam and his brother-in-law write and perform all of the Vocal Songs. And if Sam isn't singing it, it's one of the other members of Critical Role or the VA for a specific character (like how the VA for Ossysa joined Sam for the duet that Scanlan sings for Kammy in Season 2). So yeah, all the music for these shows are Original so they can avoid Copyright issues. We'll have to see if Sam remains the Lead/Sole Vocal for the songs after Season 3 given what he just went through.
@@ForeverDegenerate No worries, you're right for like all of the rest of the music as far as I know :) Also, it sounds like the version in the trailer is different to the official release of the song, so who knows who was involved with the tweaking.
@@ForeverDegenerate They've done it for both other trailers though, used third party pop/punk/rock 'n rolly music. Season 1s trailer was "Light me up" by Cobra Man, and season 2 had "Roll on" by Giuda
@@hhylobates4098 Oh ok. I had no idea that they used third party copyrighted music for the trailers. I just assumed that since Sam and Neal wrote all the music for the show they also wrote the music for the trailers.
Chat, we told him within the hour of release to watch this. But things were busy. Jay, it's the same weekend as Ren Fair so try not to push yourself with the edits.
The song was "Bang My Head" by Awolnation
We got Vox Machina, Arcane, Rings of Power AND Dragon Prince coming!
Yup...things are FINALLY looking up for us fantasy fans

In the case of the trailer that's not true, Awolnation has one of their new tracks in the trailer. CR posted about it on socials.
@@InkyPetrel Fair. I was unaware of this so I stand corrected.
