To be honest, I don't think the visions Vax keeps seeing are actually being sent by the Matron at all, but instead is a product of him being Fate Touched giving him premonitions. The Matron of Ravens isn't sadistic, so it would be very out of character for her to be constantly pestering him like this deliberately. This is all a combination of Vax's own insecurities and his Fate Touched nature imo
I like how they are handling PC deaths, makes the stakes better. Instead of Percy dying twice in the span of 15 sessions, have him die once and have it last longer. Instead of Craven Edge killing Grog and him being brought back right away, he gets incapacitating curse.
@@radudancoroian5169 They 100% will. They specifically pointed out Orthac gets the souls of those killed by Ripley's guns, Then in episode 9 SPOILER... Vax specifically sees someone die and their soul be taken by The Matron. Percy will be able to be brought back because his soul is still on this plane, they just have to hunt down Ripley and get rid of Orthac once and for all.
@VBane Exactly what I've been thinking. I think Vax will have a chat with the Matron and she'll mention that she never processed Percy's soul, which is how they will realize that Orthax/Ripley still has it and it never left their plane, making resurrection possible.
@@radudancoroian5169They wouldn't have made a point of Percy noticing the white dragon scales used for Vex's armor if they weren't going to bring him back.
I'm not sure I like Percy's death being the trigger for Vax-Keyleth, since they were the pioneer ship on stream. And the changes regarding the twins mother are strange - given that in campaign they didn't find out what happened until after they left Syngorn. It made for a powerful speech and tied it into the cold open, so I guess it worked? That said, kudos to Titmouse for animating the Siege of Emon.

Someone pointed out that the vision might be Percy in hell
@@radudancoroian5169 Percy probably isn't in hell. I'm betting Orthax has his soul.

Yeah I agree. But they still better bring him back lol. There is no vox machima without Percy f it

I'd kinda like to see Taliesin come back as a dragonborn paladin...

from Rwby to Vox Machina to Arcane. Good time to be alive
One thing O haven't aeen others notice is the words used by Percy in the beginning are used by Vex when talking to her dad later. Amazing writing.
