    sunny could you a little bit explain /12/16 where are you bring since class B subnet mask 255.0.0.0/8 and class C subnet mask 252.255.255/24

    • @sunnyclassroom24
      @sunnyclassroom24  4 года назад +2

      from /12, means subnet mask has 12 1's and the rest is 0's. 11111111.11110000.00000000.00000000

    A more labourious way to remember *16* and *31* in the second octet of class B private IP adresses is to think in binary and to remember the /12 mask:
    lowest IP address : 127.16.0.0(decimal) ------------> 0111 1111. 0001 0000. 0000 0000. 0000 0000 (binary)
    Now *remembering that the mask is /12* we deduce that *only the last 20 bits (32 -12) are the ones who change by spanning the entire range.*
    *The highest IP address will be the one with all 1s in the "host" part of the address:*
    highest IP address : 0111 1111. 0001( *this is the "network" part and remain the same* )1111. 1111 1111. 1111 1111 ---------> 127.31.255.255(in decimal)

  • @DarkStunn

    Must ask... how do you get /12 on the Class B private IPv4 class if it goes by 8 bits hence Class A being /8 then Class b being /16 (etc.) ?

  • @kaitohooi9671

    Hi Suuny. You are doing a great job. Respect. I have a question about Link Lokal addresses. As I remember from cisco tutorial (netacad.com)Link-local ranges are: 169.254.0.0 to 169.254.255.254. I mean the last octet should be 254, am I right? And Please make a video about the proxy server( proxy web server).

    in 8.54, why class b has a prefix of 12 and class c has 16 and not 24? Btw, if you sing to remember why 16 going to 31, mind is 16+16=31. Haha

    Really unappreciative to Jonathan Postel. Easy to criticize decades later when you have so much more information than he did at the time. What did you create in the 90s, Sunny?
