This is our second winter with this stove, it is awesome. What I learned was keep the door a tiny bit open for at least 15 min. Otherwise it is pretty difficult to start.
We don’t have the Eco model here in the USA. It’s called the V2. It has a secondary burn baffle with holes for burning the gas and smoke. Currently the V2 has been discontinued and is under a new modification with a catalyst. The woodstove regs are pretty bad over here as well. Won’t be long til they outright ban them.
We have the older 602, great stove, and have just got the new eco 602 to which is not in the same class as the old stove. The low mounted baffle plate stops decent size logs being used, the old stove takes logs the full length of the stove meaning a long burn time. Wished I'd never bought the useless doer to light and keep going thing. Has anyone tried it with the baffle plate removed.
After two seasons of use, I think that the old model is better, but because of the stupid European environmental standards, they had to change something and spoiled what was good. I was looking for an old model to buy, but it was already impossible to get it then. This new model cost me a little more than the two old ones.

Najkraće rečeno, ne znam. Prekratko je koristim a uvjeti su toliko različiti da još ne mogu donijeti nikakve zaključke. Za sada mislim da je micanje dovoda zraka s vrata promašaj jer vrata moraju biti otvorena dok se vatra ne rasplamsa i stabilizira (to piše i u uputstvima). Nisam kupio njihov kit za dovod vanjskog zraka koji se spaja s donje strane pa ne znam bi li to pomoglo ali sumnjam. Jedno je sigurno, kada se navečer ostavi puna peć i smanji dovod zraka ujutro još bude žara. Problem su rupe za dovod zraka koje pepeo lako pokrije kada ga ima malo više.
Znači ipak je bolja ona starija verzija..Neki moji poznanici imaju tu stariju,greju 80 kvm samo sa njom..prezadovoljni su.Drva izgore za oko 2 sata,ali žar drži nekoliko sati.5-6 metara drva za sezonu potroše.
@@onside_pith5 Nisam je imao (staru, a nju sam htio samo šta je u EU više ne možeš kupit novu) ali po ovome šta vidim, čitam i čujem izgleda da je ova nova rađena samo da zadovolji te neke šugave EU norme da bi se mogla prodavat u EU i možda stvarno ima tih par postotaka veću iskoristivost ali nešto je onda moralo i patit. O cijenama da i ne govorim, za dodatnu malu ploču za kuhanje (dakle metalni disk od cca 12.5 cm promjera) traže 166€ + poštarina. Završna obrada užas, sve sam poslikavao i poslao im, jednom kad uhvatim vremena nadam se da ću i video sastavit o tome.
Da,cena peći je katastrofa.Kad pogledaš realno,kutija od livenog gvožđa sa pregradom... ništa specijalno osim što lepo izgleda.A to što su dodali je ok,manje zagađenje i prljanje odžaka,veća iskoristivost. Ne vidi se na videu da je nešto loše odrađeno,deluje korektno.
Thank you for the video. I have been using a Jotul 602 since 1989, got another clean burn one in 2010, looking to swap the oldest one for the new eco. Great stoves and perfect for our climate in Scotland, we have cold winter and cool summers, so gets used most of the year.

For now, I'm (and my wife) pretty disappointed with this stove. When I get some more time I will explain.
