i love her answer to the genre question. no artist should feel boxed within a set genre. each song in her ep is unique and experimental. she executed a chinese/english fusion so flawlessly and i can see her going far. definitely don't settle girl
agree lol the interviewer kept stepping in her personal space i felt like, and lexie moved away. id do the same, i got like a 6ft bubble even pre-covid
Wow! Why is she so underrated? I love how she’s just true to her style, not conforming to what others want from her. I love that she’s consider of her audience too! It makes it easier for us to find your work! I love this~
@@bartomiejkomarnicki7506yeah i was pleased to know that bc i initially thought she only had minor relevancy due to the engagements on yt which were fine but i suppose it’s also bc i’m used to seeing hundreds of millions from kpop and i understood it was not accurate on my part to be comparative between 2 music industries that function very differently.
Some people said higher brother can't speak english. Now Lexie can speak and she's from China too 🙂🙂 hater gonna hate and stop spreading hate and negativity, just enjoy all the great melody created by all these musicians 🤙 peace
From Central China's Changsha city in Hunan Province. Currently jetting between Shanghai, Beijing, Seoul in Korea and USA for music. Miss A's Meng Jia and EXO's Zhang Yixing (Lay) also hail from the same city.
Lexie is young and talented. I really enjoyed her 2019 album. It doesnt even matter if there is genre or not. just be yourself and trust your instinct.
I really hope that Lexie and Niki will have a big breakthrough this year, their music is so good and it's gonna be refreshing seeing female Asian solo artist getting more recognition from the general public in the US.
To be honest I am not hooked with her music after hear some of them. But there is something interesting in her. Plus she is from Changsha where I lived 5 years lol
Very nice, both from Fordham! But the interviewer does not realize she went to The Bronx Campus just blocks away from the place where it all began. The Birth of Hip hop and the whole culture came from that very area. A building and street are marked there as the official historic place it was all created.
i saw that interview too!!! i really hope she still is. 88rising nor lexie have said anything about her not being in the label anymore soooooooooo fingers crossed!
No she's not. I watched her livestream in Chinese and she said that they're just cooperating and she rlly appreciate their help for promoting but she's not one of 88's artists.
@@ermagreen2748 No I dont think so I saw her on plenty of Chinese shows after she broke out. I'm just wondering if she is still in 88 and why hasn't she announced a world tour.
This is my first time seeing her in an interview, but she’s so cute!

is she still in 88rising?
bcs niki said in one of her interview in indonesia she was the only female in 88rising
pretty sure she still is

seraphine here
I can’t get over the fact her English name is actually pronounced /lɛksi/.
I thought it was Pinyin and it would be pronounced /ləɕjɛ/.
卧槽,妹子的英语太好了吧
She’s actually kinda cute
cut
Cut ? Instead of cute
ok 😂
HyvSirr “edited”😂
Desculpa qm é fã dela mais quem é ela ??? Ela boa ?
First comment I guess
Isn’t she Lexie l-yi-wu
Brand name vs Great Value
So is she still on 88 rising? Or is she just stuck in China these past two years due to COVID-19
She has been studying in New York for years
@@ermagreen2748 No I dont think so I saw her on plenty of Chinese shows after she broke out. I'm just wondering if she is still in 88 and why hasn't she announced a world tour.
@@jeremygallardo8096 she’s still in 88rising, and I don’t know her plan
How does a channel with 500k subs have videos with less than 1k or this video have less than 10? What is going on here
Seraphine in real life
Seraphine is her alter ego at best, Lexie transcends Seraphine 10 folds.
Oh. You’re dope. Okay.
Her songs are good but I like Niki more I'm sorey
먼가 키스에이프 닮았는데
Am I the third to comment?
I'm hearing a slight accent. I can't tell if it's Asian or Brooklyn.
New York
Both
lexie went to school in new york for a while
I think she probably grow up in the States to have that accent
@@ecchrome6732 she went to America when she was 17or 18for studying
Why she quite often scratch her head?
😬 sort of nervous
Nice way to promote Adidas
Why are they standing tho ? Lol
look like Asian Rihanna
