Women's skating in 2022 , you can have all the quads and triple axles you can do, no one today has the grace and beauty plus the love of her sport like Michele Kwan. Thanks for so many memories and for sharing for those who might not know what grace in skating is all about. everyone stay safe in 2022
This purely shows, why she’s the G.O.A.T. Tara and Sarah might’ve won Olympic Gold, BUT, Michelle Wingspan Kwan is undoubtedly, the GREATEST figure skating ever ❤️❤️❤️
A 25 year old performance that I never get tired of watching. Brings tears to my eyes every time. It's as if she skates on a completely different plane than mere mortals.
She is so fluid, there are no jerky movements, not a single moment is wasted, every move from her fingertips to her toes is as elegant and as polished and complete as can possibly be. We have some wonderful skaters today but, sorry. This is the standard, this is perfection and I'm afraid no other skater can measure up to Michelle's brilliance. Yuna is close, but still not quite on Michelle's level. The grace, the gentleness and the calmness of this program is breathtaking.
This was choreography that didn't seem like choreography and only Michelle could pull that off because of her genius. She didn't just interpret it, she became this wonderful piece of music.
I never get tired of watching Michelle skate especially this program. She is simply divine. We miss you Michelle. Skating is never the same without you.
she will always be the best figure skater in the history of the sport. Class , grace, techical perfection, heart and soul each and every time she skated. There truly will never be anyone like her...also i do agree Yuna Kim is a very close second..
No one before or after is better than Michelle Kwan....so many today do skate, skate jump...we have given up artistry for the quad, sad day ...so celebrate Michelle, NO ONE IS BETTER
There was or is no one like her. Triple triples, quads, footwork, etc. etc.….are NO match to the exquisiteness of Michelle’s skating. She is the GOAT, hands down.
No one skates as beautiful as Michelle. Her love of skating is written in her face, moves & attitude. I miss seeing her skate w/such beauty, in sync w/music. Thank you, Michelle for so many years of performances.
Michelle shows her artful mastery of edges in this program. So beautiful. It's like watching heaven. Lori Nichol, Michelle Kwan, and Frank Carroll the most powerful skating team that produced so many wonderful programs.
This woman is sheer magic ! Her performance here is flawless, her perfect choice for the music by Lee Holdrege was magnificent, Michelle may have missed getting Gold at the Olympics, but in my opinion ranks up there with the best, Peggy, Dorothy, Katarina, she will always be a legend in Figure skating.
That stirred my soul. The soundtrack and the way she interpreted it. East of Eden is a beautiful soundtrack for a beautiful figure skater. I miss Michelle ♥️♥️♥️
Does it get any better than this? I think NOT! Michelle is grace and perfection and her performance is pure artistry. She is the last of the great, beautiful skaters really interpreting the music.
Whenever I stop watching figure skating for a while, I remember this program and come back to realizing how beautiful And joyful figure skating can be. To me it is a timeless program.
everything is this program is perfect. the way she moves, she interacts with music, she express her feelings.. the most honest and graceful program of all.
How refreshing to see this after watching the current crop of Olympians do so many quads and axels and multi-position spins that they don’t have time to perform or emote. This is pure, beautiful skating.
She actually enjoys what she does. And I think overall she is at least one of the greatest...if not the greatest. She really coordinates her movements perfectly to the music. She is highly detailed.
This music sounds like the kind you heard when watching Shamu at the whale stadium in Seaworld. For that reason I kept envisioning her as a big whale jumping out of water. LOL! I love Michelle Kwan though, she's just breathtakingly perfect on ice!
How sad that a cheating scandal forced a scoring change that broke the sport. This was pure, true skating. The sport has now degenerated into gymnastics on ice.
I am 65 years old and I've watched a lot of skating I didn't like some of the old school I like to Dorothy Hamill I like Janet Lynn actually and then I totally fell in love with Oksana Baiul and I like actually Victoria pavek from Hungry is great I like her style I thought her choreography was never very interestng. I like Sasha Cohen and Nicole Bobek a lot. Kwan seems incredibly predictable. Obviously she has great technique.
I guess there's no accounting for style and taste I just am utterly bored by this. I see no content the choreography is out of the basic figure skating manual. Certainly technically she is very very good and that's it.
+Dale Bergman Your're suffering from an irony deficiency, methinks. And for the record, I was at the MCI Center (it's now called the Verizon Center) in Washington, DC when Kwan skated this number.
+snofagun1814 I just thought the same thing months later haha. Very unusual for Michelle. The only thing I could think of was that there was someone else to come and the judge was leaving room "just in case" because the 2nd mark was the tie breaker. But then again, the German judge gave 6.0 on both marks, leaving absolutely no room....... Who knows haha. But I'm glad I'm not the only one to notice.

John Roberts Michelle Kwan was never boring. Michelle Kwan has these moments that tugs at your heartstrings more often than other figure skaters . She made a legacy because bi felt she was truly genuine while others did their scripted or boring routines that leads to no lasting impression to the skater. Even executing gorgeous spirals are not enough. One must skate in order to make the best impression. Michelle Kwan was way ahead of everybody else when it comes to passion and artistry.. it makes want to engage into lasting rapture at the performance of the day to remember..

2024 still here rewatching

Amen!!!! They may have the title, but they never had the beauty and artistry!!!
A 25 year old performance that I never get tired of watching. Brings tears to my eyes every time. It's as if she skates on a completely different plane than mere mortals.
I don't think I've seen anyone hold a spiral like Michelle. Perfect!
Yeah. Still watching.

Judy I I skate jerky lol
I love when she goes from back spiral to forward spiral on the same leg.
I agree with every single word.
One of the most beautiful programs EVER. This will forever stand the test of time!
It's March 2021. This piece is still gorgeous and still one of the best choreographed ever. 🥲 Kween!
Back when figure skating was beautiful
I watch this over and over again. It's so beautiful.
Yes, this is my all time favorite Kwan program, with the 1996 Salome program as second.
RIP, Frank Carroll🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
The falling leaf gives me chills... such a gorgeous move!
She is THE consummate figure skater. I could watch her skate for hours. NO ONE does it like Michelle!
she will always be the best figure skater in the history of the sport. Class , grace, techical perfection, heart and soul each and every time she skated. There truly will never be anyone like her...also i do agree Yuna Kim is a very close second..

This girl was 18 when she performed this. I repeat 18!!!
No one skates as beautiful as Michelle. Her love of skating is written in her face, moves & attitude. I miss seeing her skate w/such beauty, in sync w/music. Thank you, Michelle for so many years of performances.
She understood that yes its technical but its more than that it is a performance and she could convey emotion like no other
Michelle shows her artful mastery of edges in this program. So beautiful. It's like watching heaven. Lori Nichol, Michelle Kwan, and Frank Carroll the most powerful skating team that produced so many wonderful programs.
+Gary Barawidan Yes, it's like watching heaven. What a perfect description.
incredible beauty
This program to me is the definition of skating. As Sandra said, “exquisite”
I am not even a figure skater enthusiast .... and I am moved to tears by the end of the performance!
There has never been a more moving, lyrical skater. Her passion is truly hypnotic. She has us on the edge of our seats from beginning to end.
"She translates the feeling of flight better than anyone" No truer words were ever spoken.
Most beautiful expression with her hands. Nothing is forced, but open and close with the flow of the music and and the intensity of the emotions.
No one has ever compared to her beauty and prowess. IMO. 💕💕💕
This is my favorite program in Michelle. I've been watching it for 25 years. Even if I look at various skaters programs, I always return to this.
The best she ever skated to this beautiful program
Watching this again in 2013 and it still takes my breath away. Beautiful skater. Magnificent program.
This woman is sheer magic !

Michelle cemented her rank as the BEST all-around figure skater from the USA or anywhere that I have ever seen perform..........
My third 2024 watch! STill get chills!
Simply a breathtaking performance. No need for complex moves just sheer beauty.
That stirred my soul. The soundtrack and the way she interpreted it. East of Eden is a beautiful soundtrack for a beautiful figure skater. I miss Michelle ♥️♥️♥️
To this day, this is my fav!!!
It doesn't get any better than this.
Artistry is flowing all the way to her fingertips. WOW
Michelle has always been my favorite skater ever! So beautiful to watch. So much emotion.
Her beautiful spiral! I get goosebumps and tears.
Whenever I want to see true artistry, I visit this program.
Kwan The Swan! magnificent. My favorite female skater of all time. This makes me cry every time.
Does it get any better than this? I think NOT! Michelle is grace and perfection and her performance is pure artistry. She is the last of the great, beautiful skaters really interpreting the music.
She's the best ever
Whenever I stop watching figure skating for a while, I remember this program and come back to realizing how beautiful And joyful figure skating can be. To me it is a timeless program.
everything is this program is perfect. the way she moves, she interacts with music, she express her feelings.. the most honest and graceful program of all.
She was pure poetry in motion.Ice skating has gone way down since she retired
There will never be another skater as beautifully graceful on the ice.
Best ever in figure skating...artistry is unbeatable ....
Beauty, elegance, perfection. Michelle proved time and again that figure skaters was not just about jumping.
When skating was really skating..........................
Breathtaking!
She will always be the best!
I never get tired watching this perfection of skating & music.
Magnificent Michelle Kwan
Just beautiful! Tears and goosebumps. The music from East of Eden was super.
Oh my God, this is absolutely absolutely beautiful
michelle's arm movements/positions are incredibly beautiful - everything is - but so many skaters just flail their arms - it's so beautiful
You know how I know this was a special performance? Motor Mouth Bezic didn't gab throughout the program, total silence.
I was watching. Nearly passed out. I forgot to breathe.
Very, very strong performance.
This is my favorite performance she ever did!
What a beautiful song, a beautiful skater, outstanding performance
Just wow.

This is the first time that a figure skate routine makes me want to cry. Kwan's got the most gorgeous moves among all.
She was the most graceful ever
I love mitchele's iceskateing outfit in this video
I like this video much
Amazing
The GOAT!!!
she was the best!
Michelle Kwan is a Bird!🕊️ A swan 🦢 ❤🏆🍀
Poetry in motion
Just a dream. 💖
my favorite "undaunted courage" i love this
Good lord, this is art. 🥰🥰🥰
Not distracting from MK's skating, I had no idea there had been another adaption of East of Eden until I saw this performance.
Such a beautiful skater
Dorothy Hamill, Michelle Kwan, and now Isabeau Levito. Like ballet on ice.
This must be the most beautiful skate performance I’ve seen.
Feel like she is flying in the sky.
Frank Carroll : such a classy , dignified coach.
This music sounds like the kind you heard when watching Shamu at the whale stadium in Seaworld. For that reason I kept envisioning her as a big whale jumping out of water. LOL! I love Michelle Kwan though, she's just breathtakingly perfect on ice!

The best doesn't always get the gold in the Olympics. Enough said.
What kinda weirdo gives that 5.9 for presentation? 6 all the way.
“Undaunted courage”
😂
Did she win here?
Sorry but why was Frank even at the boards there, like this is a fake thing

How old are you? Whose skating do you find interesting?
You're here because? Old bitter bitches always so miserable! LOL
Most boring number ever. *yawn*
:-D
borrr-rrrinnng.
+Matt G. I agree. Perfection can be terribly dull. :-)
+Matt G. I agree, boooorrring.
+Dale Bergman Your're suffering from an irony deficiency, methinks. And for the record, I was at the MCI Center (it's now called the Verizon Center) in Washington, DC when Kwan skated this number.
the italian judge marks were confusing to me; 6 for the first mark and 5.9 for the second mark? who cares - this is beyond amazing.........
+snofagun1814 I just thought the same thing months later haha. Very unusual for Michelle.
