Greetings from Greece 🇬🇷! In our country, there are many fans of tuned trucks! We really appreciate and support your job! Keep up the good work! Once a Scania driver, always a Scania driver!
Can you bring back your intoer cab light i love mine in my bmw 118 m sports mine came with car I colude see @Truckertime rock the blue and if evry you come rotherham put red ligjts on
I drives a 23 Scania V8 R770 myself . Probably my most favorite truck I’ve driven yet since I settled back in Ireland. Before that I was driving a kenworth in the US for few years and a peterbilt road train in the Aussie outback along with a bit of EU driving from England to Poland/Germany. I actually miss those trucks but I’m planning to retire with my lovely scania as my days of international driving are well behind me. Im too old for all that Craic now.
Geez, Ireland's just a tad different to our outback. Seems that coming here and driving around Australia is an Irish rite of passage. I love the Irish probably because my great grandfather was Irish. Cheers
I drove Kenworths in western Australia too driving road trains I only knew 2 guys in Leonora who had peterbuilts his name was Rex I think and the company was dessert sands I wonder if you worked for him? Anyway I’m back in NZ driving a 2023 r620 I love it we pull 54-58t and it pulls it so easy but I do wish I was in a 770s or a r770 I’m trying to convince my boss to buy one next time
Hi Tim, first time watching your channel, I have to say you are enthusiastic and I like your humour. I could hear the difference with the engine re-map. Sounds like the Greek connection shifted the injection timing quite a bit. While the smoke is not tooooo much I would suggest that you monitor the engine oil more closely for combustion contamination. You may find that you might have to change the oil more frequently. A tell tale will be fuel consumption increase. But I have known engines tunes to increase HP and reduce fuel consumption at the same time. Anyway best of British to you!
Hey Trucker Tim just wanna say I really love your content I must say you inspired me alot, I was never really A Scania Fan but now I am...Tuning Trucks are very epic & your truck sounds amazing…I Grew up with mostly learning about Cummins & Caterpillar Engines...I am Currently 20 Working As An Engineer/ Mechanic In Both Trucks & Big Boats...Big Up I'm All The Way From The Caribbean Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹...Unfortunately where im from I gotta be 25 to drive Trucks but at 21 I can drive Single Axle Trucks...Well Trucker Tim..Keep filming great content and hopefully 1 day I'll meet u in person...💯
Are you planning to visit Finland and the Power Truck Show? It is an international exhibition and according to the latest information, there are just over 500 trucks registered for the exhibition.
Thing is Smoke means unburned fuel. You’d have to get it rolling rd to actually see if it has more power. Because unburned fuel will have a different exhaust resonance. Personally I’d have to be careful doing that everywhere, it could go against you & result in fines from the Police. Many people think it’s cool, but it isn’t a good tune if it could cause trouble because many people will deem it bad to. Children suffer from asthma etc could cause you big trouble, Greece isn’t the U.K.. Love you Tim, go careful matey
Absolutely correct. Poor tune, overfueling, black smoke is incomplete combustion. Diesel is a good degreaser, so long term probably wont do the bores and rings any good.
@@gregshearer423 the limit for the all big truck engines is cooling. That's why the marine versions in boats has almost double the power since they have unlimited cooling from the seawater
@@Swedishchef11 actually your wrong, most if not all marine equivalent versions of truck diesels are rated for lower power because they need to be reliable at 100% load at that power for extended periods of time. most truck diesels only use 100% of power for maybe 20 mins every hour and thats more towards 40% in modern lorries which will limit power depending on the airbag pressures (to measure weight) with the scania s series doing this. This is why down south when they fitted volvo penta 750 d16's to the marina ships they kept grenading. Because the engines arnt designed to hold that full power for 10 hours a day. They ended up down tuning the engines and since then they have been reliable.
Black smoke is amazing, we're getting are VW TURRAN re-mapped to go a lot faster and also gunna chuck out black smoke on the 15th August can't wait gunna be good
Did you go to Truckstar festival in Assen this weekend? I spotted you going down the A28 between Staphorst and Zwolle at arround 11:30 AM. It is an eye catcher to see your lorry go down the road. You probably did not see me but I was driving a Blue and white Sprinter van.
Nice one - I really love people that think its smart to undo the changes made to clean up trucks just so they can laugh at the black clouds of shite coming from the exhaust. Do you think about pedestrians, people behind you that get a cabin full of diesel smoke, and that you are throwing particulates into the air that are proven to give people all sorts of chest problems? Pretty sure the DVSA will be all over you once you have covered their car in black soot on your way past.
That was the first truck I ever drove in the late 70s. It had the Detroit 8V-71 two stroke engine. Fabulous truck it was. To this day I always wonder where it is now. I drive a R770 scania now but I’ll always have a soft spot for that scammell
£1.499/litre for diesel??? Holy crap, we're paying the equivalent of £1.00 here in Australia. I've got a 12 litre MAN 24-420 Motorhome and want to give it a better exhaust sound. Love your videos even though I haven't heard of DVSA. Cheers
Hi Trucker Tim Love your videos they are really good entertainment.👍🏼 How about making a Trucker Tim playlist on spotify with all your favorite tracks? Looking forward to the next video😃 Many greetings from Denmark
Can’t believe I finally seen last Saturday you were going north on the M5 by Gloucestershire services and got flashes from you but not seen it in a video lol
i would hate to see what the egr temps are running at with all that extra fuel getting thrown at it and the boost etc with it being on the standard injectors and a maxed out turbo and probably a good wack of timing ! and i think that trucks days of running loads are over if he ever got stopped if he was out working it he could kiss bye bye to his operators license 🤣
Let me know when you and Nipper are down or you I will love to photograph your truck Tim. I’m big fan wondering if you going to shepton mallet truck show would be good to see you it’s a amazing truck show!

It’s quite normal to run them a bit richer when mapping them it helps keep the cylinders cooler doesn’t make it a bad map at all

there are some crusaders in greece, but were mainly military like that one
This tuning requires a heavy duty clutch
Tim you should go to Finland. They have some Scania Timber trucks with 1000 horses 👍👍
You should go to FKM Holland. They make rvs exhausts for trucks. Also rvs manifold And turbo upgrades.
If your ever back down in the South West, pop into Scania Shepton Mallet!! Would love to say hello!!

That “bomb” is a 1500 litre fuel drop tank as was fitted to the Panavia Tornado GR1, GR4 and F3 aircraft.

How about making a Trucker Tim playlist on spotify with all your favorite tracks?

Many greetings from Denmark
Quick question…
Isn’t the exhaust smoke illegal? I’ve seen diesels get pulled over for less than that.
It be setup that when the normal exhaust is switched in the emissions will be legal.
Alright, now it's had that tune, it's made it next level! Truck is getting better and better each episode
Can’t believe I finally seen last Saturday you were going north on the M5 by Gloucestershire services and got flashes from you but not seen it in a video lol
