I really hope you guys come up with a way to interject the fantasy draft throughout the year, a quarterly update or a weekly update where if you make a pick or change a pick you have to be upfront and honest about it. Also talk about the critic response of what ever comes out.

Under advanced settings, you're able to select a release rule. You can have it set to two different options. The default setting is what we're used to. Points don't apply until the game's release date, or the date the game hits 1.0. However, there is a new option, that will apply points as long as there are reviews on OpenCritic. If this setting was enabled last year, Overwatch 2 points would have applied to Janet's roster without issue. In laymens terms, it's Developers decide vs Reviewers decide. However, as a group of people that do a lot of debating on the various tags that games should get, we decided it would be far too much work to split hairs between different Early Access titles. So the option would apply to all games that release in early access that manage to get reviews. For instance, Baldur's Gate 3 would have gotten a score in 2020. This year, Hades 2 is likely to hit Early Access and will probably get reviews on Open Critic, thus get a score under the Reviewers decide option.

Almost every single promising high profile 3D Souls clone has scored an 80 or below in Opencritic. Mortal Shell, Thymesia, Steel Rising, Ashen, The Surge 1 and 2, Lords of the Fallen, Code Vein. The only exception to this are the Nioh games. Odds are highly stacked against Lies of P.

Especially if Gary does not participate after the recording it seems weird that Mike and Paris have to manage two teams. Love the content!

A lot changes in a studio over 8 years, I would be surprised if Rocksteady still had the team that made the Arkham games, I feel like if you don't produce a game in 8 years a lot of developers would be fed up and just leave.
Blessing's dismissal is weird, DOS is at 85, DOS2 is at 91 and BG3 by all measures should be even better, it wouldn't surprise me if Larian nails the landing BG3 might be top 10 best rated on Opencritic.

A friend of mine had an idea last year to do something like a "Fantasy Gaming League" similar to y'alls but more so to Fantasy Football. Fast forward to today and we are in Year 2 Season 3. We have a more friends of ours join in on the fun and we even have "Gaming Olympics" nights for extra points. It is some of most fun we have had with gaming in recent years. I wish barret was chosen to pick for Gary, feels like a conflict of interest having Mike and parris picking for Gary as they obviously had picks they wanted for themselves. Also, I think the total score is a great system but with Gary not caring, should it just be the top two scores of psily vs the top two scores of the xcast? Could even chuck in Andy and Tim representing gamescast? More growth to be done here but this my 3rd fantasy critic draft in a year with this team and I love it every time!! Im so confused, why are people nervous about Suicide Squad Kill JL? It’s Rocksteady on a DC game post the Arkham series. That alone should inspire confidence no? The only thing most people can criticize about their last game was too much Batmobile. Id be extremely high on this game, am I missing something?
A few things: Everyone wants to play as Batman, not the side characters. There hasn't been a lot shown about this game. How will the multiplayer work or player progression?
Parris is smart, pick the games that will tickle the media's nuts, not the games gamers will enjoy lol. Shout out Calisto and High on Life from 2022 for example
I'm shocked that Elden Ring DLC was that late in the draft. Just look at the past history of DLC for souls games. It's also nearly been a year after release already. Plus, Armored Core 6 is already done from the reports we've seen. Also a different team lead by the Sekiro gameplay director. I genuinely thought it was round 1 or 2

It took way longer for FE Engage and Sea of Stars to be picked than I expected, and both by Bless.

I do feel select people will find flaws specifically to scapegoat the hate they can receive for reviewing it or deciding against reviewing it

Any "Trails of" game coming out will hit an 80% minimum.
Why do you have the winner starting the draft? Seems backwards. Drafts traditionally start with the players that lost last season.
