  • In 1977 Egyptian President Anwar Sadat, a once-sworn enemy of Israel, made history by becoming the first Arab leader to step foot in Israel.
Just four years earlier, Egypt, along with Syria, led a surprise attack on the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur. That attack regained Egypt’s honour after the Sinai peninsula was captured by Israel in 1967.
The visit paved the way for an agreement between Egypt and Israel. However, the deal was negotiated without Palestinian representation and left them feeling gravely betrayed.

False History ........ In both 6 day war and Yom Kippur war Israel was defending... The territories are captured after defeating the attacking side .....which was leveraged for peace with Egypt........You narrated a narrow story of the two wars..........

"illegally captured during the Six Day War" do you know who was responsible for that war? Egypt & the other Arab states waged war on Israel. Israel didn't conquer those territories for the sake of conquest & expansion -- they conquered those territories as a byproduct of war. Think about how the Allies "conquered" German territory at the end of WW2. You wouldn't call that "illegal conquest," would you?
And guess what? After the war ended, Israel returned the Sinai peninsula right back to Egypt!

No Egypt closed the strait of Tiran .This angered Israel , then later on , Israel sent their entire airforce to destroy Egyptian airstrips, in a matter of 2 hours Egypt lost their entire airforce and they had the stronger tanks but they would always get shot down by planes, same with syria and Arab states and it was a humiliating lose with lack of vision and leadership. Then Syria and Egypt attacked Israel on 1973 and Egypt were doing good on the Sinai front , not so good for Syria on Golan heights , where Syria made a ceasefire and never got it back , but for Egypt they forced Israel into peace with them , and made the camp David accords , which gave back Egypt the Sinai for Egypt recognition of Israel . So Israel didn't give the Sinai , because they were good people , they only gave it back when Egypt was a big threat to Israel and this conflict would continue on and never end, so the best thing for Israel to do was to make peace with Egypt. The only way of doing that was giving back the Sinai peninsula.

Ignorance without borders! Not all holy books talked about a desert god. And a desert god can't promise a land in the Levan because it's not a desert. Try again and study your holy books seriously. 😇
