- On 16 March 2003, Cindy and Craig Corrie received news that their 23-year-old daughter had been crushed to death under an Israeli military bulldozer while trying to prevent the demolition of a Palestinian home in Rafah, Gaza.
Twenty years later, the American activist's parents are still seeking justice.

I had been generally supportive of Israel, although I began to have some ,misgivings when it invaded Lebanon. But I never really understood how the country came into in existence and had intended for a long time to educate myself. I figured I owed to Rachel to follow through on that, and when I did it was a real epiphany…

I never forgot her and remembered when it happened 21 years ago, I felt horrified. What a sweet, innocent, and sincere soul she was. When individuals start to realize that the days of hiding behind governmental institutions are over, people will be less willing to engage in this kind of activity- better known as killing people just because you feel like it.
