Here's a couple tips for playing ffa in particular:
Don't use voice chat or voice commands. Sound travels pretty far and you don't want people to hear you.
In the same vain, keep sprinting to a minimum. I know you might feel a bit of pressure to get some fast kills but you're bound to catch a bullet if you're carelessly stomping through a hallway.
Your ears are worth a lot more than your eyes. If you hear footsteps close to your position, stand still and listen where they're going. This gives you time to set up an ambush or catch people off guard when they run into you.
If you know there's more than one enemy nearby and you just killed someone, run. Make tracks as quick as you can. If someone hears your gunshot nearby, all they think about is a potential juicy kill that's close.
Kill and run. Simple as.
Some intermediate tips: When in sprint with momentum, press the crouch button to tac slide. When you do it off the edge keep your stick pushed forward and you’ll move like an air glider. Second, The window vault animations are terrible, Press the crouch button, and jump immediately after right before being at the window to “crouch-jump” into the window. Third, When cooking a grenade the center most of your palm is exactly where the grenade will fly. Finally, You can’t see if the target died, listen to the sounds of pain or death. Sound cues are important in this game. I’d recommend running up PVE for then PVP afterwards.
Like stated by Kraken keep sprinting to a minimal, increased ADS to fire time WILL get you killed in CQC- What I do is hipfire walking. (Only do that if you have good shot placement and weapon centering)

I thought this game had a next gen upgrade since 2021 thats when this game got ported to PS5 & Xbox Series X & S
Yeah same here. I've been playing it in 4k since the series x/s version was released.
On PS5 u got 60fps but the resolution was the same as on PS4
Whats the difference regarding the xbox series x/s version? I played the new download and it seems to be laggy, which it never was. I also noticed real slow rendering times. I do have my video output set to 1440 120hz, i wonder if thats whats causing it.

yo tbag i had the same inconvenience with using r1 to hold breath while aiming down sights and by using button assignments on accessibility in the setting I changed r1 to l1 which helps alot
I was thinking of doing that too. Sadly you can't assign the buttons yourself ingame

@@TAZ_57how? I've always preferred R1 to be my trigger/shooting button. Trying to hold R1 to hold breath then R2 feels awkward as hell for me and so I rarely get to use the function.

On ps4 you just go to settings -> accessibility -> button assignments -> customise buttons -> change L1 to L2 and R1 to R2
You can do it on ps5 for sure but I dont know the exact path but you should find it in accessibility
Would be cool if they implemented the rifle grenades for the FAMAS. You don't actually need to chamber a blank cartridge to fire those things unlike with the Garand
If you ask me, firing a live round into a grenade that's hanging off your barrel might be just a tiny bit unsafe but if it works, it works.

Sounds interesting. I hope it's not a flop as well, but the developers sound passionate

I agree with the controls especially when switching guns and when you have to zoom in just to flick a magnifier off. Mp5 is pretty good for cqb too if the mp7 ain’t your thing
I just bought the game like a week ago. Just playing against bots to get a feel for the game. However, i swapped to Standard cause it says Focus is bind to triangle but when I go to the training area its still bind to R1 (I play PS5). Not sure if thats a bug or what.

Absolutely worth playing! Community servers is where it's at. I'm running 3 servers myself (Hellscape 1, 2, and 3). Also the modding community is terrific. I currently have over 65 user created/imported maps added to 2 of my servers. Those, along with several quality of life mods that add new weaponry and healing/reviving capabilities have really extended the longevity and replayability of the game. Come check it out!

i re installed insurgency because of this vid
the increased frame rate of the game on the next gen version kinda fukd up the recoil, which is weird, me and a buddy who play alot hopped on and immediately started shooting outlines around the enemies, before each shots recoil were more like smushed together where as now each individual shot has properly rendered recoil so in full auto it feels like what spamming semi auto feels like, if that makes sense
At which framerate does it run? Cuz the PS4 version already ran 60fps on PS5, maybe it feels different because it's alot smoother and clearer now

@@Toto-yj8hc I think it may be the settings cause they start in default with the next-gen version. Your controls can drastically change the feel of recoil.

Insurgency, Hell let loose is more like an all out ww2 sim that requires a lot more coordination with your squad leaders and commander to push obj's, its awesome but if you've never played tac shooters insurgency is great. I play it more than HLL

Comparing it to the feel of dying light 2 or Frontiers of Pandora, it really stands out for me.
I was going to comment on Controls, but then I saw this. I have no clue what are you talking about. Is this some Playstation issue or something? I'm on Series X and control work reallyREALLY well and are super responsive. All I complain about is button Binding for those who don't have controller with extra buttons. For example holding breath is difficult.

I'm not sure about playstation but there's complete button mapping on xbox, at least with the elite series controllers.
On PS5, at the very least, there's this perpetual imput lag that makes your thumbs feel like you gotta deep-tissue massage the controller to shoot something...
I kid you not, I've tried everything and it drives me absolutely mad. I must have combed through every single console setting and rebuilt every single data cache like 4 times...
