The reason night doesn't look photorealistic is because most bodycams in real life don't function *that* well in low light whereas it's near perfect here. If they tone down the "recording quality" at night, it could look much better.
It's because they scoped during nighttime. The photo-realism is just a trick that the viewpoint offers. So scoping in would remove the realism. Thankfully Cyberpunk has insane enough graphics to compensate.

Looks fresh, I saw something similar in Anomaly, but never seen anything like this in СP and I’m glad I wasn’t the only one who liked the idea with this camera. Who knows, maybe someone is already trying to combine AR with games in this style, so NPCs could be correctly projected on real terrain around a person by AI , that would be amazing to see.

The funny thing is that most AAA games would look more realistic if the camera had a subtle spherical lens distortion to it, but not to the fisheye extreme.

3:08 There’s no real vegetation at that moment, you're playing on low settings, and it's edited. You say you need a 4090 to stand out, but prove it, because all the photorealistic mods I’ve tested work just fine on my card. Most of the time, it’s just recalibrating by desaturating the colors, nothing more, and it doesn’t require much additional processing power. When I look at it frame by frame, it clearly seems edited, with missing textures. Also, show your FPS along with your card model, because playing in max desaturation doesn’t need a 4090. It even seems like you’re not using ray tracing in your video, so the 4090 is unnecessary.

Red Engine really is truly next gen. A shame they're abandoning it because it can do a lot of things seamlessly and with much better performance optimisation than Unreal for the setting that Cyberpunk 2077 is set in. The mods have truly taken it to the next level with a lot of lossless performance, which is quite impressive. This Unrecord mod + realistic graphics mod puts Cyberpunk 2077 in a league of its own, really makes GTA 6 already look last gen by comparison.

But this will come back to bite them hard, since Red Engine in its current format can do a lot of things really well that the Unreal Engine 5 is just not optimised to do in the same way, which is precisely why there are no large-scale open-world games running on UE5 that look anywhere near as good as Cyberpunk 2077. I think people will be in for a rude awakening, especially since the Chaos physics engine will need a complete overhaul to run properly with a game as big as Cyberpunk, but I tend to doubt that CDPR will spend the R&D (or lengthy time) to do so.

Pretty interesting how convincing it is. I think it's because it looks like Camcorder footage, and our brains are used to seeing that and treating it as "realistic". The recent Formula1 games use a similar filter/blur effect to look convincing.

it's his hard work and only access trough his patreon. The vignetee is very easy to remove untag vignette by pressing home in settings.

Pretty interesting how convincing it is. I think it's because it looks like Camcorder footage, and our brains are used to seeing that and treating it as "realistic". The recent Formula1 games use a similar filter/blur effect to look convincing.
its so funny see those people playing a game with realistic visual mod, but fire 3 bullets and reload the weapon.

What mod enables face tracking in Cyberpunk as I have a tobii head\eye tracker I'm eager to use in the game
Ironically it's during overcast day that it looks more realistic, while the more stylized night time and neon lights make it look surreal.
Getting rid of RED Engine for the turd which is UE5 for the next Cyberpunk game is such a sin. UE5 looks about the same and runs easily twice as bad.
I believe it is the free camera look that makes it so realistic
