I am a long standing Kate fan and recently corrected the omission o fthis one from my collection. For me, _50 Words_ is more of a challenge to appreciate than than bulk of her catalog ... but I think it's coming along, soon it'll be effortless .... :D
I'm actually liking it quite a bit more now, helps to break down your expectations first. Say, I noticed you use a 777 reminiscent of other styling and commenting of words I've seen around on the Internet. (Usually a 777 or 111 is involved). Is this meant to reference the Illuminati? Just curious :)
I find It great that you did Genesis and Jethro Tull. I would recomend that you also do Camel, and SAGA especially the early ones. Arena could also fit in here. Best Regards from Sweden.
I am a big KB fan but I found this album pretty dull to be honest. Luckily I paid only a few quid for the cd. I am sure it was well produced but musically I found it quite underwhelming. In a word Boring
For me the biggest flaw for this album is the fact that I can only resonate with it during the winter months! Stylistically, it is a major departure for sure... much lighter and much jazzier, but for those limited months when it makes sense to listen to, I still quite enjoy it!
I agree, I only put it on from November to March . Otherwise feels wrong. 😂. Your low voice and funny English tinge to your voice is lovely.
