Great video on the Ike’s. Last week I went out looking for half dollars and whole dollars. I live in a small rural town and looked up every bank within a 30 mile radius and hit the road. Not one of the banks had any half’s or Ike’s until I stopped at the last bank on my list. Bingo! 258 Eisenhower’s!! Over half were the 76 bicentennials and more than 1/4 were 71’s. The rest were 74’s and a few 71’s & 72’s. I was hoping to find any that were pre 1971 for the 40% - 90% silver content, but felt like I struck out until I stumbled across your video. After watching it I didn’t realize all of the other little things to look for. Now I’m excited about going thru the bag again. What would you recommendation I get that would show me all of the little things to look for so I can go thru the bag again?! I would really appreciate any recommendations that you could share. I'm using a plugable camera that hooks up to computer but having trouble getting the entire coin in the picture. I have missed with the resolution and still trying. Plugable only cost about $30 on amazon. I like the camera view you are getting when you show your coins. What are you using?

Hey! I just stumbled upon your channel and subscribed! I love silver dollars, and while working for an auto parts store a couple years ago, someone actually spent a 1971-S 40% Silver Ike dollar, which i immediately scooped out of my cash register and replaced with a paper dollar of my own! It was heavily circulated, and im surprised someone didnt snag it before me, but i figured it was a nice little chunk of 40% silver to throw in my scrap silver pile!
Hi, I have a 2005-P Kansas State Quarter that I have never seen before, the edge is not like a clad, the whole coin looks nickel. Is there a variety like that? 5.78gms is the weight
Just scooped 25 of them from my bank for 25$ they are all 1974 3 of them without a mint mark, she said they arent silver but saved them for me glad I just learned about them and bought them.

They are actually my favorite coin. I hoard them and use them as tips if I go out to eat,etc. I get them at the coin shop for $1.10 each when I buy in bulk 100 or more. The banks never have them though it seems.

I have a 72 and a 71 Ike’s the 71 has a blue color on front and back with some copper color on it ,the 72 is dis colored like black but I can see copper throughout the coin are they just a waste
I was checking out a cave in las vegas I found a can with some black coins in it when i cleaned them up they were eisenhower silver dollars 4-1977 /1972/1974 all error coins struck on a silver planchet on one side only plus old casino coins made from silver an nickel all struck on one side only The Sands coin was struck upside down

For the record, the Type 1m Type 2m and Type 3 reverses were ONLY found in the 1972 'Philadelphia Mint' Production Year of Circulating Coinage. This video shows a coin minted at the Denver Facility which then states 'this coin here is documented in the Cherrypickers guide as a potential error coin'. These coins are NOT Errors but Varieties. An Error Coin is quite often a 'unique' coin whereas a variety can have millions of copies. As for the Type 2 Reverse? The islands are NOT blended into the East Coast of the Country but are simply represented by 'incused' lines instead of globs of metal. All one has to do is look at the reverse of the 1971-S or 1972-S Proof coins since the 1972 Business Strike was struck with a die intended for high relief proof coinage. The two coins you use to present the differences in the dies (which has nothing to do with the number of coins produced from a die set, are a Type 1 Reverse and a Type 3 Reverse. The Type 3 reverse was used on the 1973, 1974, 1977, and 1978 Proof and Business Strikes. It should be noted that the Shape of the State of Florida is different between all three die designs.

I have a 1974 coin with an error on the eagle's head and for some reason a big punch mark on the wing. The actual coin is slightly blackened from a house fire and its quite old, but its special to me so I keep it :3.
