For a 1.3 litre I wouldn't have thought the A200 would be less thirsty. I concur that the price tag is unjustifiable. Great looking hatch when compared to its peers.
These small engines work too hard for the performance they are putting out.
850k can get you alot of used or demo model hot hatches or normal hatchs

Kolo e ya tura tjeeeer mara some people out there will buy it with its 3 cylinder engine ka fuel consumption ya 7.7L/100km.
For that money, would definitely buy the new X1 diesel as it really impressed me or even look for a 2-3 year old previous model low mileage.

At this amount i30N is more sensible in so many ways.
That one caters for a completely different people. For guys like me, a Corolla GR or Megane RS or Type R would be a choice, but people who buy these want comfortable mercedes
The only car i would consider out of all you mentioned is the Type R and yes different strokes for different folks.

Hey Reba, i just recently drove the A200 (Sedan). It doesn't drive nice at all mind you it was not the AMG like but the progressive line if I'm not mistaken.
The 1.3 litre engine screams way more than it should, the car isn't really comfortable as well. It still jolts over small bumps etc. Otherwise it was a great small car to be in. Great sound system as well.

😂very honest review i have the 2021 AMG line, it was 100k less but even then i had to ask myself multiple times if kea gafa 😂
It is comfortable, and sexy but honestly it is SUV money and that's the truth of the matter. My german shephered dog has also become too big for it so ke mathata.
Advice from a long term owner, if anyone facies this car, make sure you get one with run flats. The standard comes with normal tyres and Mercedes doesn't do spare tyres. Learnt the hard way 😂 You're welcome.

Please give more information on the infotainment, car features, engine specs and fuel consumption. I feel like sometimes you don't give out more info on the cars itself. I dont know if i am making sense
I configured one on their website and it amounted to R909k and some change... it still didn't have electric seats and front camera... I honestly think they price it this way : Merc BadgeR500k... Rest of the car R400k+
Personally I would go for a turbo blue or red rs3.

I thought the Clio in RSA uses a 1.0 and that the 1.3 is in Europe

I am asking the above question because my fuel consumption is around 7.2 to 7.6L per 100KM in my 2L engine(A250). So i am surprised that a 1.3L can have such a high fuel consumption

For R850k id go for a Golf GTI. Or. Ranger. Or even Hilux. A pretty A class that has 1.3L engine is simply not justified for the price. It is a nice statement piece for those who can afford but not sensible
