      Reason pac lose is because of the setup from the corrupt WBA.
      10 days before Pac vs Spence, spence and maidana "coincidentally" had an injury. At that 10 days before fight, pac should've had light training... but because of that he trained hardcore and over trained for Ugas because he's been preparing for and sparring left handed fighters for a month or two. A 42 year old compressed a month worth of training in just 10 days. The result? Overtrain and cramps..his legs tightened on fight night. Even though he was still gracious in defeat and didn't used an excuse... GOAT!

    Maybe retirement BUT remember he came off more than two year lay off and took a much bigger stronger younger guy at 11 days notice. The training was completely different - from a Southpaw to Orthodox in 11 days. The motivation must have been considerably down - from fighting a number 1 guy to a largely unpopular unknown guy. And still it was a competitive fight.

      Ugas has a better defense than Errol Spence and Terrence Crawford. Manny would have been able to hit them more than he hit Ugas plus we don’t know if Errol Spence can even fight a southpaw. And also remember Manny Pacquiao has been out of the ring for 25 months. Has anyone ever heard of ring rust? I believe he was just fatigued on fight night and that’s why he didn’t perform to the best of his ability. Usually when he gets a rematch with a fighter he always wins. Look at his history he always wins rematches.

    When pac-ugas was announced, I watched ugas' fight with porter and I saw Ugas win that. And I thought he can be an very dangerous fight for pac, more than spence. He was pretty sturdy and strong. But manny obviously has problems, I noticed that he was not moving around, that crazy hop hop hop that confused other opponents and helped ugas throw haymakers more confidently. His head was also static and at times he stops midway an assault. Even before the fight I can sense already how dangerous Ugas is for Manny. The sudden change of opponent is not good for a 42 year old Manny who was inactive for 2 years. Because of the sudden change of opponent, Manny was forced to train and to have sparring sessions a week before the fight just to make adjustments for a new opponent. That should be the time for him to rest and let his body recover. The lack of recovery showed up in the fight wherein Manny suffered from leg cramps starting from the second round of the fight but it was still an awesome performance from Manny who fought a bigger guy with longer reach and younger than him. Ugas looks like a 160 lbs fighter during the fight night but Manny was still able to take those overhand rights. I want to see a rematch!

GOAT!

  • @zebu5431
    @zebu5431 3 года назад +8

    You really give Pacquiao a big credit, a 42-year-old, hasn't fought for 2 years, sudden change opponent, and experience cramps during the fight. A lot of these factors dictate his fight against Ugas but still, he manages to finish 12 rounds without getting the knockout. Real Legend.

    I think Manny fought a great fight as both of them clearly gave it their all and people make it seem like Manny was destroyed in the fight from what I saw I almost had it as a draw and if anything a slightly favored decision for Ugas, he is a great fighter, but he had the reach advantage in was clearly bigger and Manny was able to keep up with him in many of those rounds, I think he has more juice in that tank for future fights if he wants but he should definitely do what's best for his health and for his family not because of this fight but because age is an important factor.

    • @zabaleta66

I mean even in the highlight video he did well and I didn't see him getting knocked out or knocked down as far as I know it went to a decision so he held his own in the ring against the bigger guy who just so happened to be a great fighter and has a pretty impressive resume, it's not like he was a nobody.

      I was at the fight and you pretty much nailed it. If Manny's legs would've came back even in the 10th/11th rounds he could've pulled it off or got a draw. He tried to fight outside but with Ugas' reach it wasn't working. Inside The Cuban was countering pretty good and Manny couldn't dart away like he always does. Ugas' jab, reach and size were the big factors. Manny backed him up most of the fight and his stamina held up better than against Thurman.

    Unfortunately, the last minute change caused Manny to overtrain. This would have been ok during his younger years but at his age now, it takes time for him to recover. There are also stories that say's he doesn't believe in new body recovery techniques like doing the "ice bath" after a hard training. He is old school! The last of his kind. If he wants to stage a comeback, he should be employing the latest on sports science like "cryotherapy" or the "hyperbaric oxygen therapy".
