- On today's show we're taking out the Durafly 1.1M wingspan Spitfire for it first flight of the year . This is one of my favorite planes . It looks and flys great . Thanks for watching .

Great looking Spitfire - one of my favorites! I enjoyed your flying. 50 degrees huh ? . . . as long as your batteries aren't cold, that air being more dense actually helps things out. I enjoy some of my best flying when I dress warm but the air is nice, calm, and dense with the cooler mornings.

Agreed they like the denser air . Batteries are all good , This is very close to my house so they don't get the chance to get cold .
As for me , This was almost t-shirt weather . LOL .
But I tried going out when it was 30-40* a few times and the hands didn't last long before they started to lock up . And the glove or bag thing doesn't really work well for me either .
It won't be long before we're complaining its to hot 🇨🇦 Cheers .
Beautiful flight. Nothing beats the profile of a Spitfire in the air :)

Thanks Frank . I'm having a bit of trouble with getting the gyro working on it . I updated my radio and I;m going to try updating the receiver tomorrow to see if that helps .
It binds in both SAFE and AS3X but no gyro turns on and Forward Programming just says Connection Failed every time both ways .
I've programmed big birds from scratch before so I'm not worried ,
Just diappoitended and perplexed why this one doesn't work out of the box .

@@PhilipCockram I had that happen on a couple eflite planes too and I put the receiver on the programer and always showed out of date and updated and also show different out of stock planes on the receiver just factory reset and then went thru the forward programming and set as a new plane and went thru the whole set up again with the orientation good look Philip you have a great week too 😊😊
@@SlowFlyer85 Thanks Frank . I bought this plane over 2 years ago so not surprised it might need an update .
I'm going to have to plug it in either way it seems .
I've done the complete new ACRO setup with SAFE and As3X before . I like putting the gyro gains on the dial so you can adjust per flight easy . It doesn't take long and then I'll feel more confident about putting this in the air .
It's such a nice plane I don't want to take any chances with it .
