I have always wanted to go and work on Antarctica. I almost accepted a contract there, but my son was born and I did not want to leave my wife and family. Have you been to Nepal? If not, why not try traveling to Everest Base Camp next? Haha, not saying you have to summit. I’d love to just travel to Kathmandu. Nice video!

What an incredible and surreal moment that must have been. I actually welled up with tears. I am betting that this journey is still with you now!

Amazing! I flew over the coastline of Antarctica once south of Australia and New Zealand and near Mt Erebus but we didn’t land and I’ll never forget it, but you actually went all the way and walked there! It really is remarkable and we have to pay our respects to those explorers who had to get there with dog sleds and no electronic communication!!

I knew a mayor of Kingston upon Thames who was dedicated to support the penguins of Antarctica, she and her husband used to go and do presentations to encourage support for these enchanting creatures and their footage was amazing

Just to able to fly on a DC3 is amazing! Such an iconic plane. Add the South Pole and you had a once-in-a-lifetime week!

Jeb has once again smashed it out of the ball park to use American sport lingo, no you tube video to this day has been this in-depth and entertaining as Jebs for the leap to the 7th continent.
    Well done bravo 👏🙌🍾

Your best video yet, Jeb. My last trip in a DC-3 was in 1977, a subsidized day tour from Johannesburg to a gold mine. We went 4,000 feet below ground level, saw mining operations and the pouring of liquid gold into ingots. But I digress.
I would be very interested in a video about packing for your Antarctica trip. What did you take, your luggage, and the cost of the trip? Which I imagine was beyond considerable.
When I lived in Australia in 1974 I got to travel to New Zealand and visit the home of one of the survivors of the ill-fated Shackleton expedition. I don't recall the man's name, but he was one of the sailors left behind with the ship and those people lived. He was about 97 at the time. His recollections were riveting.
Thanks again for a truly epic record of an amazing adventure. It astonishes me that tours run to the South Pole now. My partner went in 1974 and had to get all sorts of clearances, press credentials and permission from the military.

Back in the 70s and early 80s, I got to fly on the DC-3 a lot...with all the original parts and engines. The airline was called PBA, Provincetown Boston Airlines. It was soooo much fun. So cool. These planes provided cargo and transport during WW2 with the name of C-47.

I can certainly agree that it is things like this, Jeb's committment, his content and style that keeps us watching... why you haven't been snapped up for TV work is a mystery... certainly a thousand times better than Rick Steves on PBS

Great video Jeb, although I don't share the same enthusiasm for Antarctica as you do. Also, a big thumbs up to the DC3 pilots for turning back when weather wasn't ideal. If I was to go there, I'd definitely fly with them.
