Hey guys, Emma your pink shirt really suits you 🥰 I’d love to see a patisserie Valerie video but I know this is going to be fab! Always trust your judgement ☺️☺️ Have a fab week guys xx
Thanks for trying the Sainsbury's bakery section! Unlucky that you guys had a bad cookie - they're usually pretty good. If there's a co-cop supermarket nearby, give the chocolate hazelnut croissants a go! They're next level (and sometimes I feel co-op's bakery is underrated...?) Their raspberry croissants are also nice, and they're vegan. :) Enjoy the nice, sunny and warm weather next week!
I love watching you two, absolutely love Sainsburies packs of jam and custard doughnuts. They are so generously filled and taste just like seaside doughnuts rather than baked. I noticed that you didn't try Sainsburies Yum Yums- they're long glazed doughnut flavour cakes which are also delicious and worth a try! X
M&S also do some awesome bakery products, especially their Palmiers and apricot pastries. I had a Victoria sponge muffin from their food court it was totally amazing! I wasn't much of a fan of apple turnovers however the ones they do in my local Lidl are totally amazing too!
Strawberry jam doughnuts from sainsburys are my families Sunday ritual. Every Sunday for the last 10 years 😄 we've tried doughnut from all over, nothing compares to the sainsburys one. Soooo much jam! Lush. I can't have them though because I have coeliacs but the 5 doughnuts do not last long 🙈
Great video guys like be the doughnut and cookies in Sainsburys don’t really eat a lot of bakery stuff but there are my go too if I want a treat with a cuppa . X
Do you know Sainsbury are now closing their in shop bakery? No my local supermaket have just closed their in shop bakery. this is a good idea but why not shop bread that every one buys.?
such an enjoyable video (as usual). You don't heat the items up to be able to give your opinions when they come straight from the shop? Because I can't help myself from heating this kind of bakery items up
I pronounce scone like cone - it is only one extra letter at the start after all! (I'm an English language teacher and if there's one thing English teachers love, it's a language debate!)
Do any other non-UK viewers find M+E’s British isms both charming and confusing?? What does stodgy mean?? And did anyone else scratch their head at “sharp”?? What did Emma mean when she called the apple filling sharp? 😅😅😅
Not going to lie, every time Matt says "look at the layers" in videos it makes me laugh... And you guys clearly have an inside joke about it too 😂😂 "llaaaaaaa-ers" 😂😂
Hi guys, all that goodies without coffee is impossible. Must have coffee !!!!! Croissant in France beats every other croissant anywhere. Been there. Dip the croissant in the café au lait is all it's about. All that you have got there is yummy but must have coffee. Everything is better with coffee. Can t be without !!! Bon appetit!!
You should do a day eating Italian food and snacks. In London there are several store full of Italian snacks and drinks. Please do itttt😁 we have so many biscuits and merendine to eat.
You could make a savoury bread and butter pudding with the wholemeal croissant with ham or bacon and cheese sauce and served with a green salad. From the cookie bit try the chocolate chunk shortbread. You get 4 in a bag
Ok I know not many people like it but my go- to & the best pastry from Sainsburys is ‘ Vanilla crown custard’ 💓. Yes do the Patisserie Valerie range, thanks. 🌸💜✨💫
Great video Matt and Emma. I must say, my husband and I love a cake and a cuppa, our favourite thing when going out shopping etc. You have certainly tested a good variety. I personally like an apple/nut type cake, and my husbands favourite are lemon and blueberry muffins and a good apple cake. I do a lot of home baking, cakes being my favourite. I have been subscribed to your channel for a good few months now, and I really enjoy watching you. A very down to earth couple. Keep up the good work guys xx

Stodgy means quite heavy and thick. Sharp means quite tart or sour. Hope that helps 🙂
Don't give a toss, won't shop at sainsburies on principle. They con shove their cakes up their safe spaces. ✔

Denmark have so deliscious pastry. But french patisserie and boulangerie are a dream for the mouth. Just a tip.
My local Sainsburys manage to pretty much overbake everything. I don’t know how they do it!

Emma saying “That’ll be your first 10, do you want to reevaluate some of your previous scores?!” with a very concerned face made me actually lol!
