I love how Jonh gets out of the car all fast and mad but then slowly walks to the bar
Boss
You can tell when Jon Taffer is angry. His eyes bug out and he looks like Rodney Dangerfield.
*Dramatic Effects*
It’s so funny you #scottsherrysr, cause I have been watching this man for I believe to the closer end of 10 years, and that is my favourite part of every show, John gets fired up, he so angry movin fast to tear up some asses, and walks in like a G of a gentleman 🤩
And he always walks into the bar with this look on his face like he just smelled a fart.
The one chef that said he had cooking awards. That means he won the blue ribbon for his chili at the fair when he was seven
Damn. Nice one!
Also, did you notice his shirt is inside out? lol
To funny😅
He went out with a moped too lol
@@TaliZVasTyria he has to have some way back to mom's basement
"If I fired everyone, I wouldn't have any employees"
... umm.. then hire new employees
😂😂duh!!
It's not always that easy to get multiple employees that fast and get them trained and the right type of employee at that
@@joegeralds4173 True but that's probably how you end up with a bunch of employees that need to be fired, you refuse to bring in new ones and the old ones know you won't fire them, so they do whatever without fear.
Exactly
Capable employees. Employees who know their job and can work under pressure.
I love how distraught the grandkids are about the over pouring but they were stealing themselves. Ridiculous.
They were both pieces of shit if you ask me.
@@DreFromMaine8472 Agreed. And I'm angrier with their mother because she's the damn manager and easily could have nipped all of that in the bud and not have to consult Jon. This is why hiring family is always asking for trouble when they're unqualified or underqualified for the job.
That scene made my blood boil
Classic projection & hypocrisy - "I'm deeply offended/angry that you did this thing that I'm also doing to an even greater extent, BUT HOW DARE YOU DO IT!"
What’s even more ridiculous, is that both of those girls have dated the grandson at some time or another. Which is why, working with partners is a train wreck waiting to happen.
13:29 Frank and Mia we’re definitely more than friends 😂
😂😂
Fr but she ant a blonde 👱♀️ 😅😂😅😂😅😂😅
For real lol 😂 💯
I'm sure she's well acquainted with that sofa
Yeah basically a weird daddy daughter relationship he's not her real father, but she literally said to him yes Daddy 🤮
At 1:18:43 he says "Nine pounds of failure and it wasn't your fault, girls. You guys worked your butts off tonight." Three of them turned their heads to look at him with surprise. You could see that they were touched for being acknowledged and praised for their hard work.
I saw that too. It feels great that he let them know it wasn’t their fault
One of the guys in the bar looks like Jesse Pinkman from Breaking bad
Yeah they needed some of Taffer's unique brand of positive affirmation 😎👌🏼
we knew gary was horrible because he was not only lazy he didn't know how to do his job. See bar rescue episodes these owners should not hire friends or family members as managers or head chefs who don't have the right refences or experience
He gives credit when credits die then rips anyone who makes excuses for shitty or unsafe practices
"Man, fuck John. I'm tough. I've won awards!" then awkwardly rides away on a moto-scooter.
Maybe participation awards...
The honk had me dying 🤣
@@rambam1994 bro same 😂😂😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ok let’s be honest here ..yeah the dude is a total douche but the owner is worse. He actually said “Kevin makes great food. He’s an asset”
That’s a much bigger issue than a guy with delusions that he’s a good. No way should a guy with that poor judgment be running a lemonade stand let alone a bat!
To be fair Melody and Jana didn’t deserve to be fired, they were over pouring because they weren’t trained properly. It’s the audacity of the girl to be mad when both her and her brother were stealing
Family business 😂😂😂😂
Agreed! This was the one firing scene in Bar Rescue that I didn’t approve of. Jana even said she’s never been a bartender before, and she’s overpowering…SO TRAIN YOUR STAFF!
I agree
I love the way Jon flails his way out of the car with frustration
That's why he now has a van.
Hearing Jon encourage Nene on how well she’s doing and saying “Keep going, girl” added a week to my life. 59:46
It really was pretty sweet, and well deserved
Wholesome 👍
59:53 that’s really sweet to see John encouraging the people who are actually doing what they’re supposed to. Hes not mean all the time, he just gets frustrated because he knows how the bar should work and he’s there specifically to help them from having to close.
1:01:45 “I really don’t understand” okay well basics start at, don’t stand on the bar! Don’t get drunk while your working! Even if it’s 3 shots like you said, your to drunk already!
you're* you're* too*
It’s so extremely annoying when people become totally obnoxious while drinking
This is why I have no interest in going to bars. But this show is entertaining.
@@queenofawesome2550 same here
It really is. When I go to bars. I have 2 drinks and leave. But when I do go overboard and get drunk, I get really giddy, giggly, and have a craving for tacos. As far as I’m told, I get nothing like these people
@@queenofawesome2550 Understandable. When people go to bars to just get drunk it really takes the fun out of it. I’ve been to bars where people come and vibe, and everyone’s just having a good time. Anyone who gets puss drunk is kicked out
And even more annoying with the people are staff.
"I can cook a ʰᵃᵐᵇᵘʳᵍᵉʳ." 36:50 Cracks me up Everytime!

"WHAT ARE THE INGREDIENTS TO AN OLD FASHIONED???!!"
"uh, I'm a server so I don't know"
😂😂😂
I'm not even a bartender and I can make an old fashioned. 1.5-2oz of spirit (seen them with tequila, rum, whiskey, etc), 2 dashes of Ango (or pechauds depending on spirit), twist of orange over ice in a rocks glass. The fact she had the stones to say "I'm a server. I don't know" is horse's ass. YOU serve the drinks, therefore YOU should be familiar with the menu
Crazy that that girl had the audacity to go off on those employees for over pouring yet her and her brother were stealing from their grandfather
Well that's your product if you are giving more away than you are receiving. So I will let you to try and put two and two together.
@@rjtheripper931 Tf are you talking about? Was there a comment that was deleted? This doesn't for here, lol. Clown.
Muhrrisuh, yes indeed.
Made me wanna puke 🤢!
Pick me energy
Ikr!
The first guy, Wayne, handled that so well. He knew this wasn’t the job for him and I bet he was relieved when he got fired. Good luck to him wherever he is now!
And hopefully he learned from his mistakes.
I think the owner was the problem
Some people like that honestly want to quit but feel bad about doing it because the owner probably told them at some point "I really need you to stay" even though they hate the job and know they don't like doing it and want to move on they stay cause they feel bad for quitting. Even said at the end something about time to move on to different things
That cook was trash. He handled it so well because he was trash and had gotten away with paychecks for making trash.
Dude, he was fucking stoned out of his mind.
30:47 ironic that the brother and sister are getting upset at the employee stealing when they both got caught stealing themselves out of the register.
They were upset because it was their money to steal.
Yeah that one really pissed me off
Well if they own the place technically they can but at the very least it's setting a dumb af example so they shouldn't be doing that either way.
@@joefuentes2977 technically grandpa owns the place. So its just you stealing from your grandparents and saying well we are family so technically your money is my money
It's because they kept their tips in the cash drawer, and that's because they didn't bother to have a proper system for keeping track of tip money
She said " i got fired cuz i was the only person who couldn't find something to do" so you choose to sit at the bar and get drunk WHILE YOU'RE AT WORK😂😂😂
Exactly what I was thinking like the fuck floors always need cleaned tables and bars always need cleaned 😂 makes sure shit stocked it’s not that hard to find something to do or like go say hey I got this done what you need done now where you need me at 😂😂 not starting getting drunk on the job 😂
LMAO!!!!
Yup it's I'm a victim & wah wah wah. 😭
Renee was pretty hypocritical when she said that Brittany was rude to the lady who was trying to help, but next thing you know, she's rude to Jon when he's trying to help her fire Wayne. 🙄 🤦🏻♀️
Renee also didn't want to cover a hole in fear of killing a squirrel child but didn't pay her employee until she got terminated for defending herself.
I think it’s funny y’all sticking up for the employee. She was useless. Wanted to hang out and drink and smoke while getting paid.
If she was owned from bounced checks funny that she waited til she was getting called out for not doing her job to flip over it.
Yeah it’s wrong if she wasn’t being paid but the way she handled it wasn’t right either.
Take a stand and don’t work there til you are paid or actually WORK whole are there & address the bouncers check before or after shift.
Her attitude sucked
@@princessrockman9528 100% she knew EXACTLY what she was doing causing that scene and you know she never turned those checks in either there’s no signature on the backs of them, she’s totally trying to swindle more money out of the business before she leaves cause she know that the manager is bad with money, not agreeing how it was handled but I’m glad she got her ass fired,
@@morningowl43 Right, its like "Bitch take me to court like an adult if you think you aren't getting paid and get out of my bar !"
@@idek3881 you can find an exterminator that’ll not kill then. She was a lazy owner
It's so funny when drunk people get fired cus they always say "I DONT UNDERSTAND iT dOeSn'T mAkE aNy SeNsE"
right? it’ll probably make sense to them when they sober up lol
Aaaaaand that's why they are sad and broke.
Me: Because you screwed up by drinking stupid!
Thats why theyre called "Drunk people" lol
Alcohol makes people idiots
I feel sorry for the server, getting fired just because the manager is trying to look big in front of John. Most servers are doing 10-12 hour shifts often without breaks. Many times they're just grabbing what food they can to make it through the day.
Dude was probably overworked and not being given his legally required breaks Repeatedly. Stops for 30 seconds to have a bite so he won't get hangry and gets fired.
Also, 100% unfair dismissal. In almost all circumstances you can't fire someone on their first infraction.
no fr that made me so angry
Welcome to

@@SendarSlayer yeah but these shows aren't scripted but they are somewhat staged, I'm sure when the employees gave a signature to show their face there was sumn saying they could do that (and much more) in the fine print. @@SendarSlayerhe didn’t clock out, that’s on him.
“I got fired because I was the only person that couldn’t find something to do but everyone else managed to”
But jon clearly said she was supposed to be doing bottle service
Regardless of having to do bottle service or not, there's always something to do at a bar/restaurant. These firings are totally on point
@Buster Highman ya can always spot someone in the industry with that saying
That's what happens when you're drunk
P
@Buster Highman right on point. I’m a chef, and I have to say that at least 5x a shift.
*does nothing and drinks at the bar*
“Asshole, John.”
*gets fired*
“I can’t believe they’d do this to me, I had nothing to do.”
I love how the guy's description of manager changed to "ex-manager" so quickly. that was hilarious lmao
"I know I took the clothes but I didn't take them intentionally to steal them"
Oh my fucking god are you kidding me?
"I know I held him down and stabbed him in the neck but I didn't do it to murder him."
See the difference? THERE IS NONE.
"yes I stole the clothes but it doesn't mean I stole them!"
Every argument the woman tried to make made my brain hurt, how did she not realize that taking things without paying for them is stealing? Had she just not been called out for it until Taffer got there? It boggles the mind.
Yes she's kidding lol J.K.
If I ever get fired again, I'm just going to look my boss in the eye and scream, "But we're having a great time!" and see if that changes their mind.
Bold strategy Cotton let's see how it plays out
You mean WHEN you get fired again…
@Sup bro No, it just means more and more of the Master's slaves have realized that it's impossible to live on minimum wage and have realized they're not as trapped as they once thought they were. Most have either been able to find better, more humane, and higher paying jobs, or been able to go back to school, or both.

At 4:00 the fired waitress says she hasnt been paid but the manager lady professes she has paid her, calls the waitress a liar. 5 minutes later, she tells John THERE IS A PAYROLL PROBLEM! This is how lawsuits for backpay are started and won.
That one guy firing that dude for eating in the back when the guy explained “yeah my shift is over” was a little outta pocket. Maybe just say hey man just don’t do that again. To fire the kid was a little nutty to me.
You get fired anywhere for getting caught eating food without paying for it
@@davidjackson9680 that didn't seem to be the problem.
That firing was out of place for sure, but maybe these short clips don't have all the context.
It wasn't really about what he did, they needed someone to use as an example and he drew the short straw
Maybe it was like a 3rd strike. Maybe he had gotten caught twice before. And if I remember, they were in a rush. That's also an automatic firing. Eating while in a rush is an automatic firing. Even if your a great employee.
@@natelofimusic lol what are you on about bruh. Automatic firing...you're talking straight bs and it's both hilarious and sad.
It’s insane that Jon was able to organise a meeting with selectpeople of a town and represent their interests as a professional of high standing to help a business. That’s business clout to the highest degree
Well, a bar is more than just a business, especially when it's not a franchise. Local bars are basically part of a community, if run properly and well-respected. Infamous bars like O-Face Tavern will forever be remembered for their infamy and that eventually draws the worst of the crowds and communities.
It was a boss move for sure ✅️😎
@@SouthJerseySam O Face went down in flanes last I heard

58:50. My stomach was in knots. John Taffert takes no prisoners. I love his directness. Refreshing.
I know little prick had the balls to try that
I work at a bar. The waitresses are allowed to eat in the back during their shift and we’ve never had any issues with it.
@CJ Groves a pretty successful local one. When it’s slow they eat in the back and then once they have food up or need to check on a customer then they go do that and come back and eat. We don’t get breaks and the waitresses work from 3pm-10pm so they need to eat dinner at some point. the best place I’ve ever worked.
Gordon Ramsay once fired a waiter for drinking water mid-shift
@@Elleoaqua that’s awful. I was allowed to have whatever I wanted to drink at my host stand (obviously no alcohol but I could soda, water, a milk shake, coffee etc) the waitresses were also allowed to have whatever they wanted drink wise from the soda gun or bring their own drinks. the place is almost always packed
I think the issue was bigger because he didn't communicate what he was doing...
@@Elleoaqua but, I mean, that was when Ramsay was going for his third Michelin star; an employee being out in front chugging water in front of guests would absolutely be something that would affect a Michelin review. Also those guests had booked months in advance, and it cost over 200$ to eat there. Standards are gonna be a bit different.
The dude was going to keep a guy who straight up stole from him???? Thats absolutely insane.
The bartenders could literally be caught in 4KHD video stealing from the register and still argue that they didn’t steal.

get ready buddy
apparently theres people who will freaking die on the hill defending them
trust me
TheHeavenly FB You know what pisses me off about that?? That restaurant (if I recall correctly, that was Kerry's Sports Pub) was bought by a retiree as a gift for the manager of that place -- his daughter. She went and hired staff mostly (or entirely) made of her children and their exes, and claimed she couldn't implement any systems and/or standards in place to ensure daily operations are up to par. I'm like 'WTFYM??!! That's bull and you know it, you're the manager, wear the pants!!'. Then when Jon busts her children and exes about theft, 'one more chance'. All the staff minus Ken should be ashamed of themselves, but I'm honestly more angry with her because she's let the theft and other mismanagement happen on her watch.
@@johnathanpatrick6118 well as jon points out, daddy's still paying for it
in her mind, if the money doesnt run out then theres no problem
@@mrroboshadow That's one owner my heart breaks for, that's the thanks he gets from her and his grandchildren...
That one brand new bar tender wasn't even intentionally stealing I'm pretty sure, she just didn't have any experience and didn't know how much she's meant to be pouring but ended up fired anyhow due to the circumstances
It's so weird to see how the granddaughter gets totally shocked and offended at the two bartenders for stealing while doing the same. Probably she was just pissed that there wasn't more left for her to take.
Also I wonder if the loss at the end of the days which John calculated might have included the grandkids taking some.
I refuse to watch that episode for that reason. That spoiled little slag and her brother basically threw them under the bus for something that can be fixed so easily.
Agreed! And what about training? Did they actually train their employees? Probably not
she got pissed because she got caug
Wait the grandkids stole money or over poured?
@@NiaMSnow The grandkids were using the cash register as a tip jar, because they & the mother weren’t educated on the proper systems for tips & money accounting. Melody overpoured drinks & gave away shots without charging for the extra alcohol. Janna became collateral damage because she was new to bartending, wasn’t properly trained, and overpoured the most. Janna’s only mistake was drinking the alcohol, but it wasn’t entirely her fault.

Actually I would’ve said that she had three shots too many.
@@Elleoaqua Why do addicts lie about their addiction? It's shame, and stigmatizing drug users certainly doesn't help with that shame. Addiction needs an emotional hook to grab on to as well. If someone like myself is very prone to diagnosed depression then drugs become incredibly easy to become dependent on. I have also noticed people who are addicts had addictions in childhood. Sucking thumb into later years, bitting nails, and playing video games are things that can help build the coping pathways that make drugs so comforting and appealing. The same hook I have to alcohol is the same j had as a kid for video games. It's a way to check out from the daily depression I deal with.

I like how no matter what the situation is Jon makes sure that he gets the job done and he makes sure that people he helps learn from their mistakes and also makes sure that people with an attitude realise that rudeness is not the answer.
Gotta love how they blame Taffer not themselves
They were upset they got caught and felt their egos deflate. That's why Jon got blamed.
One person got fired for minor stupid crap as a sacrafice because management hardcore sucked, and they needed to "get a point across that things were changing". so the guy who ate chips while his shift was not active is is gonna have to go home and tell him why he got fired, then the place and possibly bar rescue is going be sued by the family.
Every shitty person needs a scapegoat...
At one hour 14 minutes in Bobby, you are a general manager, I am an assistant general manager myself so I understand when you see that sweat beating down from your face and your employees still look like when they walked in you’ve been moving you’re awesome. You’re a hero bro.

“I have cooking awards” dude literally didn’t know how to cook a hamburger. There is literally zero reasons to touch a hamburger more than 3 times when cooking it. (1) You put it on the grill, (2) you flip it, (3) you take it off the grill, 3 touch’s…..
His momma got him Fisher Price awards for his toy kitchen
4 touches 1 but in grill 2 flip it 3 take of the of grill 4 but between buns
Bet the guy can't even boil an egg
@@seanmccall88 He probably can't. Properly boiling an egg is harder than it looks.
The brother and sister working for the mother at the grandfather bar that did the buulk of the cash stealing were so drama queen and should have been fired before the other ones.
It's so weird seeing younger taffer compared to his 2021 stuff lol. I love taffer he's a beast
I love Jons work and the way he does things, but he also scares me 😂
"She blew you off!!"
Well, yea, of course she did. Why else do you think she does whatever she wants??
"i WaNa VoMiT oN yOu GuYs!!" Says the woman fucking up losing them money as well.
Bartenders making the drink without showing the customer would've made me so paranoid cuz what if they put something in the drink that was drugged and you didn't see it like wtf isn't that illegal-
It's illegal to end a question with anything else other than a question mark
Ask yourself what good would a bartender have with a drugged person. What are they gonna do wait around until the bar is closed and then for all the closing stuff to be done and they can grab you and take you home hours after they would have 'drugged' you?
I'm a female bartender so take this as you want, but bartenders want you as coherent as possible for as long as possible. We aren't going to drug anyone. We just want everyone to get out so we can sweep and turn everything off and finally go home where it doesn't smell like whiskey and fryer oil.
This is the ultimate low risk, high consequences scenarios.
Unlikely to happen but if it does you're done.
Just not worth the risk.
@@TheNickleChick lmfao I agree, male bartender here but I’d prefer if no one got super drunk ever at my bar, like drink, chill, pat your tab and leave
The blond at 29.58 has alot of nerve crying about theft when you were on camera taking money out of the drawer and stuffing it in your pocket.
FROM HER GRANDPARENTS nonetheless or it was her parents
I don’t remember that well exactly but it’s even more fucked up imo
She didn't steal. She mixed her tips in the drawer because she never worked in that kind of business before and she thought that keeping her money in the register was safe. Jon cleared them right after the video too because he knew it was one of the two and they were able to prove it was tip mixing.
@@whyisblue923taken yeah I saw the episode and I don't believe her.
@@meganlewis2424 I’m willing to beat the account you replied to is either the mother or brother
Was she stealing though? I thought she was putting her tips in the register and then getting them out like paying herself out. Who is remembering how much tips, she should get though, I think that is the problem.
"Your food got sent to the wrong table. We didn't order food." That one flooded me.
30:30 That granddaughter had a lot of nerve to cry. Truly deserves an oscar for that "performance", and threw two employees under the bus as a result. Thing is they were probably not trained at all and didn't know they were overpouring. If I were them id burn that bar down without an ounce of guilt
The guilty will always attack the guilty
She’s probably the sister of she who shall not be named
She was also stealing from the business as well
Kevin exiting on a Vespa is peak comedy for me
17:17 Everyone thought of firing him which is good, but not contacting authorities?! Theft is illegal, right?
I know! If I was there and Jon asked me, I'd be like "screw firing him, I'm lending him to the cops"
He paid alright, nothing worse than to b humiliated on public tv and loosing your job also, so hehehe i think its fine
Those "ladies" laughing at 1:37:45 got me so mad...Business is going down...and they're laughing...Can't belive this...
1:18:31 I love how Gary transitions from "Manager" to "Ex-Manager" on-screen.
Firing that second guy wasn't right. I work long shifts in a restaurant late at night and end up shoveling food in my mouth after a 10 hr shifts.
his shift wasnt over therefore he is not aloud to eat
@@carlamcewen2361 well since you dont sound like someone who hasn't ever worked in food service, I'd guess that you'd think it was gross. I've worked a few food service jobs, and I'm not going to do someone else's job. People take a break when they can take a break because you can't stop customer flow. Plenty of nights I'll work 2 to 10 and have less than 30 minutes of free time split across the whole night. Totally unjust and unfair firing
@@stayfrosty9478 I've worked in restaurants for a decade and people eat all the time. Most shifts people don't get a break. Managers, servers, etc all have food they're allowed to snack on, as long as their caught up on work and service is slow. Most of the time they just say they're going to take a five and go shovel food in their mouth because it's the only meal they will get for the day. I've seen owners sit down at a table and share new menu items with people that were working, they all took turns sitting at the table and eating with the owner. This shit happens all the time and is perfectly acceptable. Every place has different rules, most just make sure you're in the break area for a quick bite. They just created a dramatic situation out of nothing because there wasn't much going on and it's a television show, they need drama. Totally unjust reason to fire someone. Guaranteed you've never worked in food service, or any job for that matter. Also *allowed.
@@carlamcewen2361 "not doing someone else's job" they've never worked in a restaurant before. Its everyone's job to help everyone. You don't sit and eat off a plate going out and leave your fellow coworkers to suffer. Don't listen to those idiots.
It's probably the manager's fault if it's not clear exactly when and how to take breaks. If it was known and understood what the rules are and someone broke the rules, I think a one time occurrence would be ridiculous to fire but if it keeps happening like a 3 strikes deal then yeah I would say it's appropriate to fire them.
I've been watching this show forever and I think we can all agree Tam Tam is a bar rescue legend 😂😅
When you try to peel out after you’ve been fired, but you’re on a moped.
You know what? Kevin, YOU'RE FIRED FROM LIFE! YOU CAN'T PEEL OUT ON A MOPED?! YOU'RE FIRED FROM LIFE!
Dre: “I’ve got money in my pocket”
Later
Dre: “I’ve got a family to take care of”
Acting all hard while riding a weird motorcycle hahaha
That was a boss lady line “walk and talk with me” love it
It wasn't even a motorcycle, it was a bloody moped ahaha
"Conversate" is not a word. You converse.
Conversate’s literal definition is ‘to converse or have a conversation’ my guy. It is a word. It’s even in the dictionary.
@@fireytemper16 You have won the day sir. I shall retire from the field.
Look, she was told to 'conversate' with the customers and that's what she did😂😂😂
Who cares
That's one of those words that should be a word if it wasn't already a word
The cook who was laughing when the bartenders were fighting is how I am when my siblings fight
