Was Jesper struggling then? I love his playing and his tone, but he looks like he was having a hard time with playing. I'm a guitar player and when I watch his hands, it doesn't look right. I really hope he can deal with his issues, I have nothing but love for the guy.

I was the same way for a very long time so I can tell you my observation - he's extremely uncomfortable playing live because he's a nervous wreck. He stated this much in an interview last month. As someone who used to live like that, I can tell you that thoughts of self doubt and anxiety are terrifying, it's like your body is always in a flight or fight response. I wouldn't read too much into what you see, he said he's working through it with professional help and I believe it because i've been there and he's saying all the right stuff about progress

I am normally a standard heavy-metal fan . Extreme music and growling isn't my cup of tee . Dark Tranquility and these guys gets to me though . This is something i can enjoy to the fullest . Great melodic death 🤘
So much history here. Mikael and Jesper were together in Hammerfall and In Flames, Jesper played with Peter's brother in the godfathers of Melodic Death Metalers Ceremonial Oath and with Mikael in Dark Tranquillity.
I have been laying in a hospital bed for nearly two months and this is the happiest and best I have felt since before my affliction. I wish I could see this in person. Thank you guys for putting together my favorite band from the 90s and 2000s with one of the greatest vocalists of modern times. You make me want to walk again.
I grew up with melodeath and will always love the Gothenburg scene, so thank you for taking me 15 years back in time when life were simpler! Håper å se dere i Norge en dag!
The drums are miced. The guitar cabinets aren't miced but could be run through loadboxes to prevent the sound from bleeding into the vocal mic. As they all have in ear monitoring.
On the one hand you have In Flames with brand new members and on the other hand you have veterans from IF and DT. I feel more passion in this first album than in latest IF attempts and trust me I used to love them!
Inflames hasn't been good since Jesper left them, probably because he was wriiting the riffs 😂 Last good album was Reroute to Remain imo.. since then I haven't cared for them. But I love old flames.

He uses different techniques and mics for live performances and this makes his sound more dry, raspier. Its amazing tho.

In flames just isn't doing it for me. Last album I loved was SOAPF. Anything after that doesn't even classify as metal to me, too progressive
