    This is so helpful! Thank you for putting the words into sentences at the end. I find that being my biggest struggle.

    You are seriously amazing and I love the way you teach ASL! I work as a mental health nurse in the deaf community and they get so excited to see me sign to them! Anything I can do to build rapport with my patients helps! I want them to know I care about them and my goal is to eventually become certified so that I don't have to have an interpreter. Thank you!

    I like how you still show emotion in your face even when you’re saying the sentences, not just when you’re signing =D 7:34

    I don’t know if anyone else has noticed this but you always wear your watch on your non dominant hand and since the video is not mirrored this really helps me a lot😂 (also if you are sick then I hope you get better! 🤍)

      I know a lot of people that are right handed and wear their watch on their left wrist. I am right handed and I am not big on watches, but if I wear a watch, I always wear it on my right wrist. It always seem strange to me that right handed people wear their watch on their left wrist.
      In school in typing class, I even had to have my stand to the right side too.

    I am a late deafened adult. I noticed that several of your signs in your videos are initialized (like weather). Are you signing true ASL or more like pidgin sign? I know a lot of signs but want to get better at grammar. I love that you point out NMM. Thank you.

    I thought that the sign for Spring was done like that, but twice. I thought that doing it once meant grow & doing it twice either meant plant or Spring. Now, I'm confused.

    • @karencatlin950
      @karencatlin950 2 года назад

      Two quick movements represent a noun. The context will indicate which noun Spring or plant. One larger movement is for a verb for the word grow.

    seriusly why do you change clothes for each sign?

    • @LearnHowtoSign
      @LearnHowtoSign  2 года назад +1

      Several reasons. For a lot of people the shift in color and outfit is 1 more sensory clue to help them remember a sign. It also allows us to use the 10-15 second clip of that signs explanation in multiple places without it feeling out of context. We use dog in the animal signs video, family signs and first 25 signs. We also used it in our online dictionary. We only had to shoot it once.
