Green Room reminds me of the movie Cube (1997). Engaging from start to finish, a bit underrated and no 4K release yet. I've seen virtually no review of the movie Valentine (2001). Probably a forgotten gem. Had watched in theater, left a lasting impression, particularly the Dolby audio track, the floor shaking bass.
Keep those suggestions coming my friend - I’ll be checking them out. I’ve not seen Cube nor Valentine and with some ground shaking bass in my theater room, I’m all in!
I have City Of The Living Dead Arrow 4K and also Aliens 4K coming in the mail soon. I really hoped you enjoyed City - it was in my opinion a great Fulci flick.
My review and full unboxing is filmed and set to drop Wednesday. I did enjoy it but do wish he had gone more into the Book of Enoch. Don’t get me wrong I’m cool with just zoning out and enjoying a great flick and this was certainly that, but I LOVE talking about “perspective” and “learning” through physical media. But yeah - I enjoyed it…didn’t love the ending but I get it was meant to be “interpreted.” Glad you got a copy because I noticed going back on Arrow it is sold out.
Maybe I need to see Possessors again, but I didn’t think it was about preventing future crimes. It seemed that organization only cared about getting paid to take out targets. That makes it morally complicated. Another thing about the film is that it uses no CGI, even though it looks like it does. As shown in the extras, it’s all practical effects.
You may be right my friend - maybe it wasn’t future crimes but just taking out who they deem as “bad actors.” I was actually confusing it with Minority Report as I called that out I think. Regardless it was a very interesting take on a sci-fi thriller type of film. I probably throw around the term “CGI” way too much- and I need to watch more special features to help me learn about the films. Hasn’t always been my jam as I have SO MANY films to catch up on a watch - but I will get into it one day.

Going to check out some of these, Possessor, Green Room, High Tension...but before that, I'm going to order that Stout you were sipping, lol. Enjoyed the video in all its coziness. Btw, the video does play at 4k on yt but unfortunately, the PQ looks the same. Looks like the video is suffering too much from processing and compression, with mild pixelation and blurriness. I'm using Sony X95L and good 4k quality (Some other review contents like mkbhd, mrwhosetheboss, digital trends etc.) play quite well on that. Secondly, the audio is still sounding suppressed. Other than that, the show rocks as ever. Tip: May it'd help to think of more intriguing titles and keywords/phrases for your content to get more visibility/traction. May be more controversial titles, demystifying words and phrases, lol
Enjoy those films if you pick them up - Possessor is a strong recommend if you’ve not yet seen. And yes - I enjoy a delicious Imperial Stout from time to time. There will be a vid coming that may not show in 4k as it was recorded a few days ago, but I think I figured it out for moving forward. I’ll continue to research and try and see if maybe it might be the lighting in my basement I can tweak to help or maybe some other settings in OBS or Kapwing. For the audio I did bump it to 120% volume and didn’t get any lip sync issues so I can likely continue bumping it up. I’m going to keep doing all I can for my subscribers to enjoy my content both from an audio and video quality aspect. I’d love to know one day what your entire set up is. You clearly know your stuff! One thing I’ll tell you my friend is I ain’t going anywhere…gonna keep doing what I do and will work on titles, thumbnails, and descriptions that may get some more views. I’d be lying if I said I don’t want as many as I can get, but I do really just enjoy doing this and can’t see myself stopping (views or not). But you have been so very helpful so thank you. So I did go back and compare this vid to my other ones and you’re absolutely right about the audio. I had changed the OBS recording settings for what was supposed to be higher quality but holy hell did it suppress the volume. I’ll be going back to the default settings for now as that was way better. Also - I’m going to look into getting a new higher end camera to record on. I’ve been using my iPhone 14 Pro because I thought the camera was supposed to be pretty good…but I don’t think it is going to compare to a device specifically made for filming. That could be what you’re seeing on your end from a video standpoint unless Kapwing is doing something to it upon exporting when I’m done editing. I have one more vid coming out Wednesday with these “tweaked settings” (already recorded) and after that my future recordings will be trying something new. I’m going to keep using you as my guide 😉

I'm only looking at it from viewer's perspective but with an eye and ear of an exprienced A/V enthusiast. And what I've noticed in general is the contents which have high quality A/V have higher viewership & success factor. Comparison is another factor that sells, lol. If you start comparing PQ/AQ between bluray vs 4K physical media as a routine thing or your USP in your content, I believe the viewership will increase and a win-win coz' people like to know honest opinion if it's worth upgrading. And I think you'll do great in this area, as you've before.

Like your prospective on Anarchy. I myself don't vote because I'm not in favor of a ruling class. People are so caught up in the cult of government and the cult of personality.
