Interstellar is the only movie I'm looking forward this year. I have a feeling this film will succeed and hit every high note of greatness and epicness. The scale and scope in this movie will be grand. Definitely going to see it in IMAX.
I swear I love movies like this that go into Deep Space and show us things that we have never seen before. It's so fascinating and scary at the sametime. I love space
This is a big gamble for Nolan, he could have stuck to easy gigs that people would like more batman and inception style stuff. But he has taken a risk on a close to present day sci-fi with an obvious underlying message of how we are messing up our planet - bravo for putting something like that out buddy.
Nolan has only been nominated 3 times for an Oscar. Twice for Inception in 2011 where The King's Speech won both of the nominatios and once in 2002 for Memento for best writing, and there, a movie called Gosford Park won. The Academy Awards has lost credibillity. Actors like Leo DiCaprio, Sigourney Weaver, Samuel L. Jackson, Gary Oldman, Cint Eastwood and Robert Redford haven't won an Oscar yet. ..but Eminem has won an Oscar. (that's right, he has)
Finally, A serious sci-fi that actually looks like it has a decent budget and excellent music. Not to mention excellent actors and a hint of hope that we might make it past our destructive animal passions.
This is Nolan's time to win an Oscar for best director and best picture God knows he was so unbelievably screwed for the Dark Knight and Inception by the Academy
oh no way, i had no idea. That's still really cool. But if it's great CGI of a whole space mission, it'll probably still be considered a CGI film. So it'll have a more lasting effect than Gravity (if ya know what i mean :D)
Actually it will be very interesting to see the visuals in this movie. Since Nolan is not a fan of CGI although in interstellar is mandatory the use of it.
Roberto Rivera It is interesting how his style has evolved to incorporate CGI. Momento had none, the dark knight trilogy had a lot (he insisted on actual stunts for many scenes over CGI), and Inception was one huge CGI MC Escher masterpiece. Because he originally was weary about using CGI, his style uses it very carefully, futuristic Earth is not in some sprawling CGI metropolis, but a rural farmland. This subtle portray of earth seems to be heavily contrasted with breathtaking CGI space, reminiscent of Cosmos (2014). Nolan's use of CGI will enhance an already gripping story, unlike a Michael Bay film or Gravity. Personally I found Gravity to be boring use of CGI. I doubt this film will bore anyone.
ApertureClockwork Totally agree with you. Curious Fact: I am from Puerto Rico, right now cinema fans here are going crazy because the theaters are going to release Interstellar on December 25. This is madness
Gravity is as real as it gets. The most realistic space film so far but interstellar has story and has visuals beyond human imagination. I think its unfair to compare gravity with interstellar. Its like comparing silver with diamond.
This movie can easily be a dream within a dream by talented, steadfast, in addition, reflective director, Christopher Nolan. He, Nolan, is a master, beyond time. We'll find a way as we always have to once again enter his world. Beyond time.
I miss the feeling of the first two trailers: them going out into space and not knowing what they'll find. Now we know they'll land on an Earth-like planet, and a general idea of what'll happen there. Granted, this is still going to be an insanely great movie, but I miss not knowing what the second half of the movie would be. Stupid trailers.
I've been waiting for this movie since it was officially announced! Christopher Nolan is one of the greatest directors to ever grace the film industry!
I think it looks great but I also like the idea of it inspiring people to think bigger. I hope people start considering that next step for us as a species.
What I want to know is why they're going through the trouble of heading to another galaxy when there are hundreds of billions of solar systems right next door.
"Interstellar chronicles the adventures of a group of explorers who make use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage." - www.imax.com/movies/m/interstellar-the-imax-experience/ Basically because using the "newly discovered wormhole," which is presumably very near to the Earth, is the only way to reach another solar system, so they have to deal with wherever it leads out to.
I wish I hadn't watched this because more was revealed than I'd like there to be, but since I did, the shot at 1:00 gets me in this weird way that like they are so far from home in the middle of nowhere surrounded by everything there is, but that doesn't matter because it's too far.
Great movie! My congratulations to Matthew McConaughey. He must be probably the only "famous" actor out there that make very good plot movies now a days. I was thought that it was a shit movie like so many "space" movies, but the plot is indeed very good.
Why is this movie called interstellar (Space travel between stars) and not Intergalactic (Space travel between galaxies). They are clearly leaving the galaxy.
This year, we've seen a long list of overhyped content out of the entertainment industry with disappointing results... I hope Interstellar doesn't have a spot on that list. Mr. Nolan, please deliver :)
Why do people keep comparing this movie to Gravity?? They might have space involved with them but Gravity is literally N O T H I N G compared to this movie. I get Gravity is emotional and all, but it doesn't have the stretch this movie has neither does it have the heart pumping against your chest feeling.
Interstellar is the only movie I'm looking forward this year. I have a feeling this film will succeed and hit every high note of greatness and epicness. The scale and scope in this movie will be grand. Definitely going to see it in IMAX.
Christian charles suppose so. have you seen the prestige? that film was amazing!
Yeah, I loved that movie! I plan on reading the book too!
I swear I love movies like this that go into Deep Space and show us things that we have never seen before. It's so fascinating and scary at the sametime. I love space
MUSIC: Thomas Bergersen - Final Frontier. From his new album Sun!!
This trailer still gives me goosebumps. The music, the visuals - epic!
This is a big gamble for Nolan, he could have stuck to easy gigs that people would like more batman and inception style stuff. But he has taken a risk on a close to present day sci-fi with an obvious underlying message of how we are messing up our planet - bravo for putting something like that out buddy.
Just watch the movie, god damnit. Nolan's never one-dimensional.
Nolan has only been nominated 3 times for an Oscar. Twice for Inception in 2011 where The King's Speech won both of the nominatios and once in 2002 for Memento for best writing, and there, a movie called Gosford Park won.

David Woodhead let's just say that i have watched american psycho.
TDK won an oscar. Heath Ledger, for his performance.
Finally, A serious sci-fi that actually looks like it has a decent budget and excellent music. Not to mention excellent actors and a hint of hope that we might make it past our destructive animal passions.
The musical score is going to be so incredible.....
My brain just hurts knowing this is going to be about wormholes.
Agreed. Especially if it's Kip Thorne-style wormholes.
The music is Thomas Bergersen - Final Frontier
thanks!
This movie is literally my childhood dream. I always wondered what it was like on other planets far away. I can't wait to see this in IMAX.
This is Nolan's time to win an Oscar for best director and best picture God knows he was so unbelievably screwed for the Dark Knight and Inception by the Academy
they are in control of the academy awards, he will never win? just think
What I did not quite understand
Nolan has done so many good films. Memento, Inception, The Prestige, Insomnia, Dark Night series. Mcconaughey won't disappoint.
i love Christopher Nolan, and this movie looks like it'll beat "Gravity" as the next most beautiful CGI film.
oh no way, i had no idea. That's still really cool. But if it's great CGI of a whole space mission, it'll probably still be considered a CGI film. So it'll have a more lasting effect than Gravity (if ya know what i mean :D)

If Christopher Nolan wasn't a director he'd be one hell of a novelist!
This generation's 2001: A Space Odyssey.
Only with slightly more dialogue. Shrewd, the one-word title; Interstellar. It captivates the imagination.
I love it when it says, 'we must not think as individuals but as species' and yet see american flags on their space suits :)
This movie can easily be a dream within a dream by talented, steadfast, in addition, reflective director, Christopher Nolan. He, Nolan, is a master, beyond time. We'll find a way as we always have to once again enter his world. Beyond time.
SO EXCITED FOR THIS MOVIE!!
the music gave me goosebumps!!this is awesomeness and brilliance together!!
"Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light."
- Dr. Brand
Masterpiece!
I agree
This is gonna be a Nolan masterpiece
Nolan cant make a bad movie !!!
Now THIS is what a trailer is supposed to be!
1:13
What the hell is that strange, blocky thing that's walking with the astronauts supposed to be?
The music
i want this sort of stuff to happen in 2020 or 2019 in real life
With any other director, I would think that this will fail miserably.
But with Christopher Nolan, I can't wait!!
oh my god! the soundtrack is so amazing !!
I loved the BGM in this trailer
Now that is what you call a movie.
So Christoper Nolan decides to conquer wormholes. Nicely done.
This trailer looks so awesome. I hope the movie is great too.
This movie seems to be awesome. I hope it doesn't fail to live up to its reputation.
HOLY CRAP!!! This looks awesome, and I could use the music for this for... science.
I miss the feeling of the first two trailers: them going out into space and not knowing what they'll find. Now we know they'll land on an Earth-like planet, and a general idea of what'll happen there.

1:13 Dat walking Missingno.
I've been waiting for this movie since it was officially announced! Christopher Nolan is one of the greatest directors to ever grace the film industry!
This is going to be AMAZING!!!!!!
Imagine how challenging was to visualize all those space scenes...
Cannot wait to see this and let my mind be blown. Again.
Masterpiece uncoming :D Damn ! That music... That... Christopher Nolan ;)
I think it looks great but I also like the idea of it inspiring people to think bigger. I hope people start considering that next step for us as a species.
So can't wait for this movie :D movie of the Century
People are doubting Christopher Nolan because this looks "different" lol so did all of his movies at first glance this will be epic aswell.
People want to explore new worlds, but our land has not really learned. It is always easier to get away. The film is excellent
I'm watching it because of Christopher Nolan
Imagine what is when there would be a warp drive today !
What I want to know is why they're going through the trouble of heading to another galaxy when there are hundreds of billions of solar systems right next door.

Stop hallucinating, Rust Cohle. Go and solve cases.
cant wait to see this
This movie will be epic.

I hope this movie doesn't flop. There's been countless times where a trailer is amazing , but the movie isn't so good.

1:37 WHAAT HE SAID?
Looks like there's a humanoid off in the distance on the snowy planet
Does anyone know if Thomas Bergersen is making the OST for the movie or only the Trailer?
nolan is a genius.....
Why is this movie called interstellar (Space travel between stars) and not Intergalactic (Space travel between galaxies). They are clearly leaving the galaxy.
Interstellar sounds better. And technically it's still an interstellar expedition.
Exterm inatus That's what the wormhole is for...
In the trailer they clearly said that "Say bye to our solar system, and galaxy"
***** Ya Nolan made the film not me, they can say say bye to our earth for that matter!
Wow! Hanz Zimmer The Holiday - Christmas Surprise - now we have clues how soundtrack of Interstellar was born.

This year, we've seen a long list of overhyped content out of the entertainment industry with disappointing results... I hope Interstellar doesn't have a spot on that list. Mr. Nolan, please deliver :)
