About month ago I bought my first own pool balls. It wasn't an easy decision what to choose. I got Arcos II and happy with it. It is amazing set, the colors are so nice and deep! Pure beauty! Btw there is a post from Reddit that I found very useful for those guys like me who worries about quality levels of all these Aramiths sets. Spoiler: Super Aramith Pro = Arcos = Brunswick Centennial (A+ quality). Aramith Tournament = Black (A++). All these sets are great and almost identical, produced by Aramith with the same technology, so choose by your heart 😀 "The two are different teirs/categories/qualities of Aramith. Predators are just differently branded Aramiths anyway. According to Aramith, they use the same/similar “super pro” material/specs they use to make Bruinswick centennial’s: Crown Standard set uses our basic "Premier" resin, and contains some second quality balls (slight cosmetic defects that don't affect playability). Premier set uses the same Aramith Premier resin as the Crown Standard. All balls are first quality and the cismetic is different Premium set uses the Aramith Premium resin, a higher end resin creating a vitrification layer which is a translucent and very hard external layer. For this reason the numbers look a little bit fuzzy. Super Aramith Pro sets use the Aramith PRO resin, featuring a deeper vitrification layer. In addition the sets are matched to minimize the weight difference within a set. Tournament sets use the same Aramith PRO resin, but are produced using a proprietary technology called Duramith, allowing a longer lifetime. The BLACK set belongs to the Aramith Tournament family. The Arcos II set is made for Predator with the same specifications as the Super Aramith Pro set."
As far as I can tell, the only ones I’ve tried so far are the Aramith premier, and what I have in my table now, Aramith Premium. The later are really good. I have had them for few years; and they’re still shiny and in very good shape.
Always entertaining to watch your videos ! Thank you ! Price/quality makes me choose the Aramith Premier ball set, not the tournament quality that provides more durabillity, but offers the same playability. 25 years instead of 40 years... I will be in heaven then !!!
On many pool videos it is difficult to distinguish some colors from others. Many commentators have difficulty. This also depends on lighting and the color of the cloth. The best set is the one where the differences are most obvious. This is a big deal, but not mentioned here.
We all want to know your technique on spin. Do you use back hand, front hand, or parallel. If you used a go pro on your head that would be so much better for visuals. Love your videos Jasmin. =-) Thanks again for the jumping video even though im a dart style jumper it still helped.
I saw a player foul once in a tournament when they played the purple ball before the pink, thinking it was the four ball, which it is in many older sets. So you have to be careful to be aware of the numbering of the set you're using! Thanks for the video!
I recently bought an Aramith Premium Set. The next level was tournament sets at 2x the money. I bought a set because I play APA and were mostly in bars that rent the tables from entertainment companies who buy the cheapest balls and never clean them! So i bring my set with me and if the other team agrees we use my set.
I have the Premium set as well, I believe going up from there the quality improves minimally... They way look "cooler" but I doubt anyone could really tell the difference in quality...
i read that cyclops is no longer around and they became dynasphere? that's too bad because I've always liked the lime green and powder blue of the cyclop set
I see a few people mentioning Dynasphere in the comments. I had their Tungsten set (paid about $75) for a year and was pretty happy with them. I decided to upgrade to the Platinum set (paid about $350) but have been very disappointed. My first Platinum set had defects in the resins. The colors had milky swirls like the resin wasn't completely mixed. Black outlines weren't completely black on some balls. I thought I was just unlucky with picking up a bad set but I was able to exchange them from my local store. When I got home, the same defects were present in the 2nd set. Also, the cue ball had specks of debris embedded inside the resin. I emailed Dynasphere's customer support department and never got a response. Then I was able to find them on Facebook. Whoever I was speaking to seemed helpful but basically they just gave me the run-around. They told me a regional distributor would contact me to make things right. I was told to contact Dynasphere again if I don't hear anything from the distributor. So I never heard from the distributor and sent a message to Dynasphere but they've just ignored me. Horrible quality control and horrible customer service.
Good video, the higher priced ball sets have a higher percentage of pure phenolic resin. Higher inspection standards and specifications. I too like the Predictor logo. I have a 20 year old set of Brunswick Continental Centennial balls that came with my used table. WOW do they take a good shine. What cleaner or polish is used for professional tournament play?
I have a set of Aramith crown standard and a set of Aramith premium and the premium set plays so good no one would be able to tell the difference between them and the more expensive ones as far as clean play goes. Even the crown standard set plays very good. For more average people the crown standard set would be fine, and they will last a good long time. The premium set is truly where you get your best bang for your buck as they are very good quality and almost half the price of the over-hyped "pro" sets.
Is that the prototype Predator chalk that Albin has been using lately. Seems like a fully completed version that is ready to launch. You got any idea when will they release it?
Aramith pro tv cup is my favorite, my pool hall uses those and I like the design the most. I hate the predator black striped design and colors and messed up my 9-ball a few times too with those…
Years ago, it was either these or Aramith Pro for me. I went with the Centennials (made by Aramith too btw) mostly because of looks and have no regrets. I am using a Aramith Pro cueball btw, because of the red dots.
yup. totally agree: one of those four :) but I would prefer(and have bought a years ago) the TV pro cup set as my first because most tournaments were held with that set so I wanted to play with familiar balls. plus (IMO) in addition to color difference they(at least aramith vs zeus) tended to different behavour. maybe it was "used aramith vs brand new zeus" comparasion, but still
Appreciate this video very much; however, what the profession really needs are high tech, smart ball sets for practicing at home that tell the player everything he or she needs to know about pocketing balls, instantly. Would probably need a camera above the table to analyze the array of balls on the table, for example, which ball would be easiest to pocket, cut angles, position play tips, where to aim, how hard or soft to shoot, spin or no spin, bank or no bank, kick or no kick, and so on. And the software would even give you feedback on why you missed!! You tell the software how much info you want. The data (charts, movies, diagrams) would be available for viewing on your phone, smart wristwatch, earphones, and other devices. All the player would have to do is get down on the shot and execute it as precisely as possible. Such technology should be used as a teaching device only. You would wean yourself off it as your game improved. I'd buy it!! lol. Oh yes, don’t forget me when the profits start rolling in. Only problem would be not having my favorite RUclips pool coaches to fawn all over. I'd miss you guys something terrible, seriously. ☺
When's the chalk video coming out? :D P. S. Do you know when that new Predator chalk will be available to order? Can't seem to find anything about it anywhere...
I think the alternative colors were for NTSC TV because it can be hard to discern between different balls. On HDTV it’s not so difficult. It’s funny because the ones I get confused on old vids is the 3 & 5, not the ones they usually change.
You are a beautiful and talented woman. I expect you'll be in the WPBA Hall of Fame at some point. I'm watching you play in Atlantic City, NJ a month ago as I type this. I enjoy your billiard themed videos, but what I'm really interested in is Jasmine Ouschan the person outside billiards. I enjoy your food, travel, fitness and any odd topic vids. Please share as much as you're comfortable sharing. I saw you on Austrian Dancing with the Stars. I would love to hear your candid thoughts on that experience. Have you ever done anything for work other than billiards? What did you study in school? Did you like school? Do you have a favorite vacation spot? Music interests? TV shows or movies? How did you and Albin both become billiard pros? Anything else you'd like to make a video about I'm sure everyone would love to learn more about you.
Hey Jasmin, thanks for the video! I was wondering if you are aware.......There's a nasty echo in that room that you shoot your video in. Maybe need a specialized microphone of some kind? I could research for you if you like??
Surprised to see this video months after and noticed the prototype predator chalk sneak it’s way into the video. And then 6 months later it finally releases to the public
Jasmine. You failed to weigh the cue ball from the Cyclops billiard ball set.... as most of us know Cyclop (now discontinued) is not an Aramith product. Also, the other three sets including the Arcos 2 are made by aramith (What resin composition are the Arcos 2? Duramith, or super-pro resin?) Looks to me like a lot of product placement from Predator/Aramith. Your hoodie, the Arcos balls, and the chalk...🎱😂
My biggest problem I have with the predator balls is that I’m colour blind and rely on the numbers to plan my patterns. When they land number down I have to ask my opponent what ball I need to hit next. Very inconvenient.
Funny, I actually said that in video reviews of the predator balls, That it was going to be a massive disadvantage to people who are colourblind as depending on where the balls lie, the number might be completely covered meaning only the predator logo is present. I feel very sorry for you, I feel like there should be a universal rule that all pool balls that are used in the tournaments must have numbers on both sides to make it fair for people who have colour blindness. That was the reason why I bought the Aramith black set instead, as I play with someone who is colourblind himself.
ive owned a black set since early january.. i use them at least once a week.. i absolutely love them. tho i will say that the blue should have been a tad lighter, because sometimes it is hard to distinguish between the 10 & the 8. i did not buy the aramith version but a MUCH cheaper chinese version. same quality just hundreds less (aramith =$700 cdn vs $150 cdn)
I would think a tournament pool player should and would use pool balls that are used in most pool tournaments. What pool balls are used in most pool tournaments? Jasmin - anyone! Home pool players should but the best pool balls that they can afford!
I think that they have gone crazy with all these different colors I’m a traditionalist and those colors are best especially when your playing 9 ball and the colors are different you have to keep checking to see which ball is which complete pain in the ass
I don't like the arcos since I'm not good with colors such as red and brown so I have to find the number on the ball which is only in 1 spot on the arcos. I just played in Vegas and I had a hard time, I had to exert more effort to confirm I was shooting the right ball. I also don't believe in a company having a monopoly which is what predator is trying to do. They just got the BCA to switch from Diamond tables which I feel are better and their balls were also used. Once Predator eliminates the competition, they will be able to charge whatever they want and we won't have a choice.
Honestly if you want a ball set in general just get the generic ball set that are in community centres they're like 30 to 60 bucks. This is only a suggestion to anyone who wants a good enough set but doesn't care too much about what kind of balls they use
Like your video but prefer no edits prior to next shot. Want to know that your correct in speed and position without edits. Your so good edits are not necessary.
Can't understand that crazy idea to do the Aramith black, ridiculously crazy. It's way harder to see the edge if the OB is frozen to the rail and you have a long shot... 👎
What is that annoying background sound? A radio or ??? Whatever it is it is extremely annoying. Please get rid of it, it makes it more difficult for people with hearing issues to listen to what you were saying.

Good info right here! I wondered why my Aramith Premiums had slightly fuzzy looking numbers... Thanks!
Love the production and your youtube character. So fun, lively and lovely.
love all this too...
As far as I can tell, the only ones I’ve tried so far are the Aramith premier, and what I have in my table now, Aramith Premium. The later are really good. I have had them for few years; and they’re still shiny and in very good shape.
"Two and a quarter inches." Love your presence on camera. And including your mistakes is honest. Thanks.
this is a no-simp zone, sorry
Informative video Jasmine,
Thanks 👍.
I've always used the Aramith Pro Series.
I have absolutely no interest in buying my own ball set, but when I see a new Jasmin Ouschan video, I immediately watch it.
Don’t have to buy anything but just keep watching 😄😉
You are bringing such a great energy Jasmine, it's always a pleasure to look at your videos !!! Thank you !
Left out the traditional classic set - "Brunswick Centennials"
Thanks again I have the aramith they were350 when I got mine ten years ago. Still play great and shine right up thanks again for your videos
Sick juggling skills, Jasmine!
Always entertaining to watch your videos ! Thank you ! Price/quality makes me choose the Aramith Premier ball set, not the tournament quality that provides more durabillity, but offers the same playability. 25 years instead of 40 years... I will be in heaven then !!!
I fell in love with the aramith black 9ball design, best looking Pool ball.
They are freaking gorgeous. But holy cow what a price...

Excellent video. I am curious to know how pro balls lineup differs from less expensive balls of the same manufacturer.
These cuts genuinely make this a challenging watch. Appreciate the content though.
Thank you Jasmine, this was fun to watch
Thank you for being awesome. 😊
Definitely love the arcos 2s I played with them at the Wisconsin open last year
Tolles Video und wieder, extrem geiler Schnitt und Performance vor der Kamera 🙂

Love the black stripes and spots
Nice video. Keep up weekly and you will get more viewing. You have something going and it looks good. Keep it up.
Love when they add the pink ball

I think the higher end set is just a bit more durable and hold their size and shape better. Your set probably rolls just fine.
I have the Dynasphere Bronze set and love them. Just as good as the Aramith pro's at pool hall I think.
Totally agreed, I prefer the Cyclop TV Set which is the rainbow colours and also Dynasphere Tungsten set that I played at billiard centres.
I see a few people mentioning Dynasphere in the comments. I had their Tungsten set (paid about $75) for a year and was pretty happy with them. I was hoping there was an explanation or history on the ball coloring, especially with the aramith black set using a pink 4 and purple 5.
My favourite has always been the orange 5! But they do not seem to use in tournament play on tv anymore 😊 I have 3 or 4 orange 5's😂
Anything but the original colors is 🤮
yup. totally agree: one of those four :)

NIce video Jasmin!
When's the chalk video coming out? :D
P. S. Do you know when that new Predator chalk will be available to order? Can't seem to find anything about it anywhere...
I’m an Aramith/Duramith guy.. I like the old school Brunswick look, and they’re certainly durable..
The real issue is nobody gambles anymore?.. 😟
This is awesome info, how about cue stick?
I don't even shoot pool but I love your clips.
You are amazing love your videos❤
I Like How Much Researches Into The Entire Billiards & Pool You've Gone To Jasmin Ouschan , You Really Know Your Game ❗😘💔😍❤💋
Can you do a video where you go to the factory and show us how they are made? There really are no good videos on it.
one thing they all shouldn't do is not to change the colors of the ball, keep the 4 purple and 5 orange!
I'm not sure what's with the pink four. I have seen that in really old time games so it's been around for a while.
First time I watched the "new" TV set I kept getting confused by the 4
Totally agree. I use only traditional colors.
I think the alternative colors were for NTSC TV because it can be hard to discern between different balls. On HDTV it’s not so difficult. It’s funny because the ones I get confused on old vids is the 3 & 5, not the ones they usually change.
Some 4 are blue and your spot about keeping it purple if it ain't broke don't fix it

Dynasphere set better than all 4
Is there any way to tell what type of ball you have? Mine came with the house/table....not sure what the quality is.
You did not talk about the pink 4 ball in the Black set-which is a real difference.
Surprised to see this video months after and noticed the prototype predator chalk sneak it’s way into the video. And then 6 months later it finally releases to the public

I think you’re ones of the most likable humans alive.
Nice video! Hope you produce more pool review videos!
Whatever happened to clay balls from the 90s ?
Jasmin would a great SNL hostess.
Hey, Jasmin, do you pick on your brother?
My biggest problem I have with the predator balls is that I’m colour blind and rely on the numbers to plan my patterns. When they land number down I have to ask my opponent what ball I need to hit next.
Very inconvenient.
Funny, I actually said that in video reviews of the predator balls, That it was going to be a massive disadvantage to people who are colourblind as depending on where the balls lie, the number might be completely covered meaning only the predator logo is present.

That was the reason why I bought the Aramith black set instead, as I play with someone who is colourblind himself.
I think that the black set is my next set. I sometimes line up on a stripe because of the white.
Thank You
The aramith premium ball set why did they play different😢 I feel like the whole set is heavier especially the cue ball
ive owned a black set since early january.. i use them at least once a week.. i absolutely love them. tho i will say that the blue should have been a tad lighter, because sometimes it is hard to distinguish between the 10 & the 8. i did not buy the aramith version but a MUCH cheaper chinese version. same quality just hundreds less (aramith =$700 cdn vs $150 cdn)
"Same Quality" from China.... LMFAO..!
For the algorithm!
I would think a tournament pool player should and would use pool balls that are used in most pool tournaments. What pool balls are used in most pool tournaments? Jasmin - anyone! Home pool players should but the best pool balls that they can afford!
What about Brunswick centennial????
Nice
Most important thing is to clean them, with ballstar pro ❤
I think that they have gone crazy with all these different colors I’m a traditionalist and those colors are best especially when your playing 9 ball and the colors are different you have to keep checking to see which ball is which complete pain in the ass

Once Predator eliminates the competition, they will be able to charge whatever they want and we won't have a choice.
You have a valid point. I think at a time where universal design is more and more widespread, it's a strange decision to ommit the numbers.
Costs?
I wonder what would happen if companies changed snooker ball colors.
Honestly if you want a ball set in general just get the generic ball set that are in community centres they're like 30 to 60 bucks. This is only a suggestion to anyone who wants a good enough set but doesn't care too much about what kind of balls they use
BTW, a lav mike would help.
I stopped watching as soon as I saw her wearing a Predator shirt. Can the bias be any more obvious? Or was she not thinking.
It’s 2.25 inches, or 2 and 1/4 inches.. And I’m not sure why we’re still hanging on to that system?.. Or daylight savings time?..
For me I really don't like sets that changed the traditional colors. Making the 5 ball purple has to be one of the all time dumbest moves in the game.
Matchroom needs to give her a contract
Great videos, Jasmin!! You are so beautiful!
If the materials needed to make balls are so cheap why is a ballset so expensive?
2 inches and a quarter it is.
I think I can check off all of your requirements.
Like your video but prefer no edits prior to next shot. Want to know that your correct in speed and position without edits. Your so good edits are not necessary.
I say quarter of an inch whenever that comes up
🙂
Your not wearing a ring, you wan to go shoot some pool?
Can't understand that crazy idea to do the Aramith black, ridiculously crazy. It's way harder to see the edge if the OB is frozen to the rail and you have a long shot... 👎
dynasphere is where its at
Basically anything aramith will be good (predator balls are made by aramith). Cyclop balls are not good.
where's my Brunswick Centennials?
Awesome content but please get yourself a microphone.
Get a wireless mic.
A lot of ecco coming from the room
ill never like the tv colors, they got the color scheme right the first time lol
What is that annoying background sound? A radio or ???
Whatever it is it is extremely annoying.
Please get rid of it, it makes it more difficult for people with hearing issues to listen to what you were saying.
