Thank you for all of the vegetable seeds that you sent me last year. Sungold was definitely one of my favorite cherry tomato plants. That tomato plant knows how to Out Run a disease and keep producing.
1 grow light but need to get a better one! Carrots, beets, cauliflower are growing well! Cauliflower = plants. Carrots/beets r seed. 1 inch and 2 leaves per plant right now. Healthy . I’ll thin and move extras around at 2-3 inches.
100% germination on all the tomato seeds we bought from Hoss Tools! We planted four seeds of each of the following tomato varieties: Celebrity, Chef's Choice Black, Hossinator 2255, Roadster, and Sunsugar. We're also growing about ten different open pollinated varieties of tomatoes and keeping our fingers crossed that we'll have a good crop of tomatoes in our hot desert environment. Our plan is to plant them out early and protect them at night until the last danger of frost is over, which hopefully will improve their chances of setting fruit before the heat sets in. By the way, would it be worth growing Bella Rosa, Grand Marshal, and Red Snapper or do you think we've got it covered with Hossinator and Roadster?
Terminen os better in hot Ga summer? U got a new Roma? I use romas to make the best chili. By the way I purchased many items from you as I am finally growling my first garden raised bed 8x4 rectangle. I may try very large pots for tomatoes. My brother grows tons. He has had gardens for many decades. I had office and travel job and never home to attend garden. Now I’m disabled, I got time. Pray for my first garden! Lol Do you have video on starting toamato seeds i trays? Please post link here for me. I wanna see what soils is best, what you add in epsom salt or fertilizer for seeds if anything. I have 24 tray with bottom for water and clear lid. Our nights are still low 50s. And days this week 55 to 66 temp. We had 70s days. Zone 8, when do I start seeds In the house? Great show gentlemen. I discovered this channel a few days ago, being from Pavo I like it being local. Would you fellas consider doing a show about storing potatoes, carrots, etc.
Still got snow on the ground but I've ordered some seeds and other supplies and I'm getting excited for a new season. Starting over from scratch this year on a new property in a new (free) state. Never dealt with this heavy clay but I'll figure it out.
Great show, as usual! You said a home gardener should plant two varieties of tomatoes... I won't tell you how many varieties of tomato seed I have right now... and I just ordered 2 packs of the Hossinator. I have a problem. Can't wait to see how they do here in PA.
Like always, a great show! When you started talking about those Hossinator tomatoes, I yelled at my screen "Shut up and take my money! " I gotta order those for here in central Florida zone 9b. Thanks for the video and thumbs up to Mr Howell. He comes across soft spoken and knowledgeable.
What's better than a tomato sandwich is a tomato sandwich with a fried egg and crispy bacon in-between with a slice of cheese that is partially melted on the egg!!!!
When you said don’t prune the hostinator does that mean don’t trim off the lower limbs or don’t take off the suckers in order to make the plant bushier?
Great show! Craig Howell is delightful! I've got lots of thinking to do about what tomatoes to plan - Must get some Hossinator 255.... Red Snapper..... Tachi.....
Can I visit your store and buy seeds there? We live in north central Florida due south of your location and it will be a nice day trip for a retired couple.
@@gardeningwithhoss I was originally planning ordering Bella Rosa, Red Snapper, and Roadster, but after hearing this gentleman’s comments and going on Sakata’s website, Bella Rosa and Grand Marshal might be better choices for my hot desert climate. I was hoping that new 2255 would be worth trying, but it might not do as well in the heat. I realize these tomatoes are more bred for growers in the southeast but was hoping to find one for my 8a zone. It’s back to square one.
Does nobody like the Cherokee purple that used to be my favorite that my grandpa grew. I had em about 5 years ago last time I had em still my favorite? Where’s they go?
Im from there, grew up with it and was happy when they finally started selling it in Florida...people here mostly use Dukes which isnt bad, very close to blue plate.
I’m planting Bella Rosa, Red Snapper, Roadster, and Brickyard. I’ve only ever planted Bella Rosa in the past and thought they were great. The other three are new to me. How would you rate the four varieties? 1-4
So excited for the new variety’s of Tomatoes, especially the SHELBY, that’s my daughters name and WE are tomato lovers and the new Hossinators 😁 just ordered.

This is a very helpful show

I think you have it covered, but you can never have to many.
I agree. I might try Grand Marshall. It did well along with Hossinator 2255 in trials by the University of Delaware.
Ordered for the 2255 Hossanator and Roadster. Looking forward to harvesting some great tomatoes and trying a tomato sandwich for the first time!
Sounds great!

George, I'm at eleven varieties so far and got my eye on a couple more. Ouch.

I have 18 varieties this year. I'm only going to grow one of each but I'm have about 230 of them. Hopefully I can sell the ones I'm not going to grow.

We do not have a store front, only a office and warehouse that we ship out of. You can always place and order to pick up and visit if you like.
Can you start to offer determinate tomatoes with different color fruit. Such as yellow, orange, purple, or black
We are adding new seed weekly, keep an eye out for new emails, post for varieties.
