Corn Silage Harvest 2022

We grow a type of corn that is better for silage compared to a type for combining. The chopper takes the whole corn plant and chops it up. Instead of using just the cob and discarding the rest. The silage is used to feed the cows all year long. In 2022, we harvested about 19,000 tons. At the end of the video, you see the two T.9 tractors on the pile pushing and rolling the corn silage. That is how the silage is stored. We use the plastic and tires to cover the piles to protect them from rain and sun, and to help preserve the crops. Check the comments to see what equipment we use!
