    This is what Benji Marshall should have done! Go to Japan to learn the game then come to NZ to have a crack at the All Blacks. He’ll be in the next RWC squad

    Just got back from Japan for a holiday. What a spot. I’d swap everything I have here to move over there. He’ll love it. Good on the young fella.

    Lol, its always funny watching leaguies have to swallow the fact that their favourite players like and respect rugby union more.

      Huh ? Where did Manu say that ? He said the All Blacks all watch and respect league. Literally the opposite of your delusional comment 😅😅😅

      Having respect and respecting something more big difference. Union is a walk in the park compared to league

      @@owenward3542 lol. Or maybe they want the challenge? I think that’s what he said right? Start with the smaller league and build up?

      I’m a massive fan of both codes. I did the commentary on RUclips on Sat for 2 games in our local League comp. Then went to the MLR final the next day. I watch a lot of videos for League and Union. It goes both ways too. Martin Gleason the previous English RU attack coach said a lot those boys watch League as well. I’d say Joey going to Union as a back will be much less taxing on his body because of the reduction of tackling and running. I wish him the best. I saw him in Vegas a few months ago.

      His Father was a rugby star in his days having played for NZ colts that featured a lot of former All Blacks
      He was that good they took him knowing he wouldn't played 2 or 3 games because they were played on Sunday
      He was every local boys hero growing up

    If it's for the challenge as Manu said, he should have gone to the French Top14. Going to Japan is obviously for the money

      @@brynlawrence9554 Yeah perhaps, but I doubt he's unsure of his Union skills. He's clearly a world class player in Rugby Union... He got offers from France but prefered to go to Japan. No doubt he would be a starter for 13 of the 14 Top14 clubs

    Too late for him to have a career in Test Rugby - He won't get the cash if he signs with a NZ Super Rugby Team that he is currently on playing Japanese Rugby - especially it being a short season.

    He'll get bored playing in front of crowds of 5k and never touching the ball. He'll come back to league, they all do.

      hahah nahhhh, he'll have his hands full learning how to ACTUALLY tackle, pass and make decisions. League players always struggle with these things since it's so simple for them usually.

    • @Rafiki_lec
      @Rafiki_lec 5 месяцев назад +2

      NRL is rugby league or league for short,
      Rugby union is usually referred to as rugby because it came first so I think it's fair they get the right to be called rugby. I call rugby union just "union" instead and rugby league just "league" because I'm a league fan.
