Harbor Freight Hercules line up compared side by side to Snap On and Milwaukee

- In this video I go over my initial thoughts of the Hercules line. They definitely will have their place since the warranty has been updated to 5yrs on the tool & 3yrs in the batteries.
If you are close to a harbor freight this is especially going to be helpful.

I’ve been using the long neck Hercules ratchet for year. Work full time collision repair. It’s been great.
That’s good to hear! I’m excited to start putting them to use and get some abuse on them.
@@Enrightauto I mostly use it for interior and bumper jobs. I can tell you it will snap the heads off the little 7mm headed screws if you’re not careful, but I’m sure that’s true with the snap on as well
@@gregbrooks6318 yea makes sense since they are 35 ft lbs. I’ll have some follow up videos before long. Pumped to put them through the paces
@@gregbrooks6318 how is the hercules holding up? Im thinking of buying it too for small jobs instead of spending $200+ on the milwaukee
@@jhonathangarcia1330 late reply but mine is still going strong. Using it all day Monday-Friday
Honestly with the impact wrenches I’ve gotta give it to matco with the 16v extended neck. That thing is really solid and I prefer it over my Milwaukee
I got the 1/4 inch long neck Hercules after not being able to get a single tool on a recent water pump project.
Hasn't failed me since.
I really prefer 1/4 drive for a lot of low torque applications vs 3/8ths.
Agreed I love 1/4” I use my snappy 1/4” more than most my other tools. Will do an updated video after abusing these! Thanks for watching I appreciate it
I think being small is a distinct advantage when you're a mechanic or plumber.
I'm thinking the Hercules stuff would make a good junk yard go bag
Perhaps
I bought the Hercules 3/8 long reach yesterday. It sure got out the 9/16 headed 3/8 diameter bolt out. I have got a 1/2 inch Chicago Harbor Freight impact I got thru mail order while stationed in the Philippines. Mostly use on my Harley Davidson FXWG Shovelhead.
Yea I can imagine they would be fine for motorcycle work
Bro I know what you mean. Lol people who only use one tool brand get so damn emotional. I love Milwaukee but the Hercules ratchet for me is a no brainer. Especially when the fuckin 4amp batteries are 30 bucks lol
Did Harbor Freight change the warranty for the Hercules ratchets because none of them say 5 year warranty on Harbor Freights website.
Brushless versions only
@@Enrightauto Thanks! I would like to buy some of these Hercules cordless tools. I only wish they had a bigger selection of the brushless models.
@@MotorheadRedo yea unfortunately it’s not much. I did a follow up video on them. I’ve not been impressed but if you are working at home on your own stuff they are good for thag
The 5 year was extended to cover all Hercules brushless tools, including the 12v models
I got the Hercules rachet and converted it to a DeWalt 12 volt battery. It works great but I still want to try the snap on rachet
That’s sweet do you use an adapter for the dewalt batteries?? I’m intrigued
How did you convert it??!! I haven't been able to find any adapter or hack to use Dewalt batteries on Hercules tools.
@@Paladin7845 Hercules copied DeWalt design for batteries. You have to put I think a 10 ohm resistor on the battery temperature connection inside the rachet. So it pretty much by passes the battery temp sensor. And than you gotta make slight modifications to the battery and rachet but it's worth it. I bought the rachet in ebay for $70 and spent $5 to convert it. I'll link the video I watched that showed me here is the video that taught meruclips.net/video/HQTbTE3OZjg/видео.html
@@Enrightauto I use DeWalt batteries it's cheap and easy to do. All you need is a resistorruclips.net/video/HQTbTE3OZjg/видео.html this is the video that taught me
I own the SnapOn 3/8 ratchet not the long neck and I absolutely love it thing has never let me down
Only brushless has 5 year warranty. Hercules ratchets are 90 days.
Heads up, the 5 year warranty on Hercules is ONLY on the brushless models. Anything else from them is the basic 90 days if you don't get the extended replacement plan.
Good to know. When I purchased them the manager did not mention this but I’ll do some digging and make sure I’m wondering if they will end up putting it on all of them.
I reached out to harbor freight to find out if they are going to extend that warranty at some point on the none brushless tools or do they plan to release brushless versions.
@@Enrightauto Yesh I figured sooner or later they were gonna have to put out more brushless stuff. I mean hell, Bauer got a brushless drill before Hercules lol which just doesn't add up.
Get the extended warranty. I have the 1/4 long neck. I’m on my second one now, the first one the turn switch was sticking and all I had to do was give them my number and they swapped it out right there and then.
I swear if this guy says one more thing about his damn sawzall😂
I’m just playin but jeez man y’all should just get a room
I am looking forward to a video on this tool comparison.
It ended up being garbage I never use it
I know that snap on cordless tools don't have as good warranty as the Milwaukee and flex. That's what scares me with the cost of them holding up. And don't know how good they hold up. I wanting blue ones but extremely scared and don't have as big amp batteries as Milwaukee. I not a fan boy of any brand. I just like tool great quality that hold up long term.
My snap on power tools have been my most reliable for me.
Hello, How to send a car diagnostic tool you
Gracias por compartir la información!!! Saludos desde Ecuador 🇪🇨
Great Video Buddy 😎🎬 That 1/4 Ratchet Thats A Good Investment I Use That One Everyday But I Use The 5.0 Battery 🧰🔧🔩
Awesome glad to hear it I can’t wait to start abusing it so I can see how well they hold up. I’ll be doing a follow up video in a month or two. Thanks for watching!
Any update ? Please
Pass on the Hercules
@@Enrightautowhy?
@@Isaiah-ft5nx did a follow video explaining why. Quality isn’t there their and they don’t hold up. Milwaukee is a better option for the money
I never buy any kind of tool that doesn't have a good warranty and I'm not talkin about the ones you have to buy yourself
