...re: 2nd item - I use a lazy Susan, works just fine. I find a few 'crafting tools' can be improvised by raiding my kitchen... saying that I've spent my fair share on 'necessities' i'm a crafter after alls said n done ;)
I use a Lazy Susan as well. Works great. I traced the circle onto some chipboard packaging I had and adhered a grip mat to it. Don't need to buy a rotating mat. I use Stamp Wheel and Wreath Builder template to make circle wreaths. I'm good with what I have.
Totally agree - the lazy susan tool would be great with a sticky mat! Great tools...TFS
Reg. the 2nd tool….i took a lazy Susan and put an 8 x 8 grip mat and cut to fit around the lazy Susan!!!
Interesting products. The first one is too complicated to me with too many steps. I have Gina K’s stamp wheel which is easy to use. I don’t make enough wreath cards to have a specialized tool for them.
The 2nd one is interesting as i have been using a lazy susan tool for years. It is on a raised platform so i can hold the “stem” of it still while working in one area. Why couldn’t you just add your grip mat to this tool? Can’t see the need for a specialized one.
Thank you for sharing!
Wow. I can totally see this as a wreath or circle builder. Much more flexible than others I’ve seen.
My most fab get was a silicone sticky mat and i leave the plastic back on it and and just turn it as i blend on it and I’m not wasting tape ❤👍
Hehehehe... I bought these... I love them. Thank you!! No circles run around here!!
Love this! I absolutely LOVE seeing new products in action. This is so helpful!
I do like the tools especially the first one. It reminds me of a tool I have that can make paper doilies. That tool also rotates but you cut out pieces from the paper at each turn. Thanks for sharing, Justine. Blessings!
These are great tools. Thank you for showing them to us.
I actually bought the second tool and a waffle flower grip mat to use on top and I love the combination ❤
Great video! I’m always learning something new from you Justine! Thanks for sharing!
I think I'll keep watching before I decide. More videos with them would be helpful. Definitely food for thought, and I love the demos that you've been doing so we can see how these products work "in action." Thanks, Justine!
These are interesting tools and thanks for demonstrating them. Seems they would be very useful.
I agree. Both tools are excellent.
Great video and I love your stamps and dies and stencils! You are so talented.
I find the rotating tool very interesting. Thank you for the demo and review.
I already have the second one. Love it.
What GREAT finds!! I REALLY like the lazy-susan! And I agree that a sticky mat would help. Perhaps the Cricut Joy mats from the Dollar Tree ($1.25 and identical!!) would be worth a try? I know you’re across the pond without access to them… I’d be happy to send you a few. I feel like with everything you share, it’s the least I could do. At that price point, every card maker should have a few on hand. They also fit perfectly in the standard Misti. TFS your finds! 😊
I received the wreath builder stamp platform as a Christmas gift. I haven’t used it yet, because the few videos I found weren’t very helpful and made me feel confused and overwhelmed. You explained it very well, and now I’m super excited to give it a go! Many thanks!
I was just looking for a rotating mat last night! So funny.. I have only seen 1 person use one about a yr ago. I do think in cardmaking or most table made arts.. its a game changer!❤ TFS!
Yes! Rotating grip mat would be nice!
I love my rotate tool, I use with Altenew mat. Thank you for sharing this video.
I’ve never seen this stamping wheel before, I really like it. Would be a huge help as I have arthritis and a damaged shoulder from a fall. Thanks for all this advice.😊😊😊😊😊
I have a rotating cutting mat, but I have never used it because I need to see it demonstrated.
Wow love them
I love the Rotating Stamp platform the best, that's a tool I would love to have. TFS
Both tools are cool. The rotating stamping platform is my favorite
Great cards! Great tools!
I have the rotating platform, I feel stupid because I've had it for over a year and never used it.
Thank you Justine for making me feel like I can do it!
I bought the rotating stamp platform! And the magnetic one. Can’t wait to use it!
Beautiful cards. Love the "lazy susan" gadget.
I like both of them.
They are kinda neat, still have misty
They are interesting tools.
I like the wheel… with any sticky product
Like these tools, just think they are a bit expensive. Thanks for the video.
Great vid 😊
I loved them both but could see lots of uses for the lazy Susan. Have a lovely day.
Rotating platform would suit me better if it was magnetic. I’m old school and prefer using magnets to hold down stencils as it’s much quicker than using tape when I’m making dozens at a time (to donate to personal care homes). I do have a Waffle Flower grip mat on order so will give that a try.
If you have a magnetic mat, you can lay it on the rotating self healing one and rotate the stencil while held down by magnet. Same with a glass mat.
Your Canadian accent is so cute. Idk how I feel about this platform. I like the lines and the clicks so it’s a maybe yes for me. Thanks for showing us how to use it ❤
Great video Justine, watch this space for a sticky mat....
I just got the rotating mat! Bought the stamp rotation item last year
I have this rotating stamping platform…🥰🥰🥰
I use a waffle flower grip mat with my rotating platform by we r memory keepers, love this platform. X
Thank you for sharing. I like the lazy Susan.
I probably wouldn’t invest in these tools since I already have a Misti however if I were starting out I would definitely buy these.
I so want the turning stamper. lol maybe payday, we shall see. Tfs ❤😊
Ardith does use a grip mat with her rotating thing. Try it!
The first tool is very similar to the Rotating Precision Press by We R memory keepers. The only difference is text colors and that Craft Stash one comes with magnets
I am trying to resist buying new supplies, but you are making it difficult!😂
I recently bought the rotating tool. I haven't used it at all because, quite frankly, I forget about it even though it's sitting out!! I'm sure when I get into some sort of cardmaking groove where it would be useful, I'll take advantage of it. I like the wreath builder. It looks kind of complicated to me but I'm sure I can figure it out. Thanks for sharing this information!
Just purchased the rotating stamp platform. Can't wait to try it!! Thanks again for sharing!😃
I might get both. A lazy Susan is already available for this but I might get it though..
When you brought up the Lazy Susan immediately thought that would work well with a grip Matt in it and then you made exactly that comment so great minds think alike and I agree and you should invent it haha
These are nice. Couldn’t you use the waffle flower grip mats for the rotating board. I dint remember what they are exactly called but seemed that might work…?
Tha Altenew gel mat fits inside the circle. But it would be great if they come out with a circular gel mat just for this tool.
I've been eying the We R Memory...rotating platform but also think I could improvise with a kitchen lazy susan and a Waffle Flower grip mat. I rarely stamp images in a circular wreath or mandala pattern so the first tool isn't for me.
Do you have a video on how to get the best results blending Catherine Pooler inks? My blending never comes out this beautiful using them.
Catherine Pooler inks are the same as any dye ink when blending. Here is a video that might help What am I doing WRONG? Ink Blending Troubleshooting
ruclips.net/user/livel4OlKWjj8hM?feature=share
I use the Waffle Flower mat with the rotating stamp platform. :)
I’d never use the first one because wreaths aren’t really my thing. But the second one looks interesting.
I don’t think I would want either tool. I purchased the Stencil 360 for creating circular stencil designs and I have the Gina K templates for circular stamped designs. I have a kitchen turntable that I could put my Waffle flower grip mat on if I feel the need. So far I like just putting the grip mat in my Misti and turning that when I want.
I bought a small lazy susan off Amazon and just taped my grip mat from WF to it and use it. $15 max.
Great idea!
I could use the lazy Susan for stenciling but I don’t have to have either tool.
I think your reviews are very valuable because they're so candid and backed by so much experience. So I want to be clear that I'm not taking exception to your opinion only adding mine.
I use a rotating cutting board in my quilting and they're simply wonderful. They can make coloring and cutting so much easier. But I don't get how much technology and expense goes into stamping out wreaths in the card making industry. I never do it. They're only interesting to me when they're eclectic arrangements of whatever.
It doesn't seem that hard to me to lightly draw a circle in pencil and use that as a guideline. I get that you'd give up a lot of *precision* but I think precision just makes a handcrafted homemade card look like a commercial product. That's a negative in my personal opinion. I think something that's beautifully crafted but looks like what it *is* which is a say a work of love and personal expression is something to treasure.
That said I hope your review acquaints people with possibilities that could be interesting and useful for them. And, as always, I really appreciate what you do.
Justine, I saw Maymaymadeit put a grip mat on her "lazy susan." It worked perfectly. 😊
I have stamping platform and don’t see me doing the techniques you have shown so these tools are not for me. I appreciate you showing them to us so that we don’t have to spend the money to check them out. I appreciate all that you do.
I would just add a sticky mat to the rotating wheel. Either a Stampwheel mat or a Waffle Flower sticky mat.
Love them both, but lazy susan best!
I have a rotating mat for patchwork, now I will bring it out for cards as well so thank you Justine. Is the rotating stamp platform a Craftstash item?
It is a craft stash item
We R makers has had the Rotating Precision Press for a few years now. I don't think it's magnetic though. I could be wrong.
I have Gina K's wreah makeer and it is similar bu flimsy in comparison
Checked out prices which are reasonable but shipping to Canada doubles the cost.
😢 that's really sad. I thought both tools were very neat but especially liked the first tool.
You can switch the currency to Canadian dollars on the worldwide site. I also believe there is free shipping over $80 or $85
The first.one needs a hinge at the top. Seems a pain in the bum to lift the top section away to ink it.
Not allowed due to patents so companies have to find a way around it
❤️❤️❤️
I really like the second tool- I have seen other RUclips people use it with a waffle flower grip mat. This tool is on my wish list
Ardeth has been using the Grip Mat on top of a Lazy Susan for a long time now.
Thanks for the intuitive review. I can't decide between an Altenew Stampwheel and this We R Rotating press. Do you have any ideas you would like to share to help me decide? The Stampwheel is so expensive, I don't know if I will get much more use for double the price.
I think you just answered your own question ☺️ I have the stamp wheel and have used it twice. Not worth the price for me that’s for sure
@@justinehovey Thanks Justine! I appreciate your help. I have a small crafty budget and I need to get lots of use out of what I purchase.🙂 I enjoy your videos and appreciate all your great ideas you share.
@@justinehovey I have a question about this rotating presses accuracy compared to the Stampwheel. If I need to re re stamp an image or sentiment because it needed more ink, does everything stay in place on the rotating press or is there wiggle room since it doesn't lock in? Thank you again for your time.
I stamped more than once in one spot and it wasn't an issue. It's quite stable. @@BoGilmore
@@justinehovey Thank you again so much for your help.
These both look like great tools. Is there a code for the 15% discount? I don’t see the coupon you made note of.
JUSTINE15 :)
Thank you. You’re looking great!
I really like the first tool you showed. $28.99 is probably a very good price. But when you add $20 shipping plus taxes plus exchange rate to Canada, it costs quite a bit. It will have to be something for my wish list.
I do appreciate you showing these products and the beautiful cards you made.
You can switch the currency to Canadian dollars on the worldwide site. I also believe there is free shipping over $80 or $85
So I’m confused, when you stamped the 1st butterfly it has a black line around it? I thought you used a pink or reddish color where does the black outline come from?
Not sure what you’re referring to. The butterfly I stamped isn’t black
Agree with the idea of the lazy Susan and a grip mat. Genius.
I'm sure the tools are helpful, but I just don't have enough space!
They both seem like just more to spend money on and take up space. Not only that, but they're not cheap.
I’m going to get the lazy Susan.
Really like the first one xx
Off to get a kitchen lazy susan and just put my waffle mat on in; good idea. The other I can live without..
The rotating platform looks good, but no to the stamping
Code doesn't work.
It might be expired now
this stamp wheel ..having to lift the top all the time gets old fast.
