Xp is not that really for pilots, you can have pretty good addon with the fenix and the PMDG. We just need to wait untill other addons pops out for the sim. And let's be honest, long haul aircraft in Xplane is not that realistic too. So I can easily stay on MSFS with 2 addons waiting for others. Plus, the graphics, scenery are so so beautiful.

it is very difficult to recreate msfs graphics and also extremely difficult to replicate xp12 physics. hence why they cant take each others strengths to create a better flight sim. but if they somehow managed to merge companies and work together, then they would start getting comfortable and stop improving their sims since there is no competition lol

I feel that x plane should get airports as the default autogen (for airports) looks better. Also x plane has more addons and planes as it supports most of them from previous versions and has way more freeware

Honestly xplane 12 looks better because for me the default airports look horrible in msfs but in x plane 12 there is vehicles roaming around and the terminals are detailed and there is no scenery bugs in xplane 12 and that's why I prefer it

@@ate_a_radioEspecially when you compare the default aircraft of both sims, “out of the box” the X-Plane aircraft feel closer to what you would experience in real life. The performance is generally smoother in Xplane, with less stutters etc, which you wouldn’t experience in real life, which makes practicing real life procedures more realistic. Also ground handling of aircraft is more realistic in Plane-Plane, where less thrust is needed to get the aircraft moving. Having said all that, both sims are quite good, depending on what add-ons you get for them.

Highly debatable. I own both and for me XP is better. The default airports look better. And you didn‘t mention XP‘s better camera system and usability like replay, Flybye, Tower-view etc. And what about the weather-effects like turbulence in clouds or wake-turbulences? Missing completely in MSFS. And what about default failures being much better simulated in XP? And aircrafts are not better in MSFS; the best aircraft available for any sim right now is actually the CL650 for XP.

Once I put autoortho into xplane that was the end of it for me. Msfs is better in nothing. Give it a shot it improves the ortho 100% on the fly using satellite imagery.

Very very few people have a setup advanced/expensive enough for the physics to have any advantageous real world applications. Both are good for VFR. Xplane is better for IFR. Both have amazing addons to increase usability.
Honestly, I'd say both of them are good. X-Plane 12 doesn't have the fancy satellite imaging like MSFS does, but I like the controls. Both of them have an equal amount of realism for their planes.
Most default MSFS terminals look like office buildings. X plane default airports actually resemble airports, not to mention all of the beautiful Mr.x airports available for free for x plane. I would also argue that x plane has it better when you’re talking addons. I would rather fly the PMDG than the Zibo, but the FENIX and Toliss are pretty close in terms of realism. X-Plane also has many more addons including the entire A320 family, 757/767, a good Concorde, good E Jets, and many more.
As a real pilot I can say x planes 12 is way better. Msfs controls suck and do not handle like they do irl. This alone will make me want to go over x planes rather than msfs

XP12 is better than MSFS since you don't need a NASA computer to run it. It's also a super good SIMULATOR, wherein MSFS is a "simulator" but I think it's to gamey to be considered a simulator.
the planes in x-plane are way more realistic than in mfs for example xplane planes has proper sounds and more realistic cabins but mfs focuses more on its scenery and graphics
Fenix a320 has Mitch better sounds then the toliss so I’m not sure what your on about there. And Fenix has a fully modeld cabin so that that isn’t a good argument there either
Although I do consider x plane to be a better sim, which does border msfs on graphics whoth some addons, I am choosing msfs mostly because of the price. X plane is 20 dollars or so higher I believe. I still do consider x plane to be the better sim in this case though.

Just a word of advice for you all: Neither using MSFS nor XPlane will enable you to land a real world aircraft regardless of size, without any training. It doesn't matter which one has the better flight model (There have been enough tests by the way and they are not THAT far apart in realism) because no sim can depict the real world 100%. So y'all just need to take the sticks out your butts and enjoy YOUR sim. And leave everybody else alone with your superiority complex.
That‘s true (first part). I disgaree with the second part. The flightmodel is very important to reproduce a behaviour close to the real one. Otherwise you could also use the planes in GTA V. And also MSFS wouldn‘t put so much efforts to improve their flightmodel. The visuals are also not that important for training as long as you have rivers, lakes, seas, topography, forests, streets and rail-tracks and of course airports (btw. default ones in XP being more realistic) for orientation (VFR).

I actually got the aero hmd to work in x-plane 12 by messing with open xr and open vr . Not sure what i did to get it to work but can't seem to be able to again 😮 humm Works fine in msfs

Idk I've played both Sims alot and for visuals fs 2020 wins by far their airplanes are also getting there but idk, idk if it's just me but fs 2020 planes even pmdg their planes feel so light and doesn't feel like a actual plane not to diss pmdg or anyone they make brilliant stuff, but I've got over 1000 hours in X-Plane and even tho. Xplane should get add-ons and airports due to the default ones looking better. For add-ons, there is a lot more in xp12 than msfs. Otherwise, great video

XP12 is better than MSFS since you don't need a NASA computer to run it. It's also a super good SIMULATOR, wherein MSFS is a "simulator" but I think it's to gamey to be considered a simulator.
This might just be an opinion but MSFS has oversaturated lightning which makes it look better but XP12 has more realistic lightning

the planes in x-plane are way more realistic than in mfs for example xplane planes has proper sounds and more realistic cabins but mfs focuses more on its scenery and graphics
Fenix a320 has Mitch better sounds then the toliss so I’m not sure what your on about there. And Fenix has a fully modeld cabin so that that isn’t a good argument there either

Although I do consider x plane to be a better sim, which does border msfs on graphics whoth some addons, I am choosing msfs mostly because of the price. X plane is 20 dollars or so higher I believe. I still do consider x plane to be the better sim in this case though.

X plane is more realistic, and its FAA Cetified. While MSFS isnt certified and is just game of the year, its also not as realistic and is just good with graphics

It's funny how this debate is still going on after all these years... Just a word of advice for you all: Neither using MSFS nor XPlane will enable you to land a real world aircraft regardless of size, without any training. It doesn't matter which one has the better flight model (There have been enough tests by the way and they are not THAT far apart in realism) because no sim can depict the real world 100%.
So y'all just need to take the sticks out your butts and enjoy YOUR sim. And leave everybody else alone with your superiority complex.
That‘s true (first part). I disgaree with the second part. The flightmodel is very important to reproduce a behaviour close to the real one. Otherwise you could also use the planes in GTA V. And also MSFS wouldn‘t put so much efforts to improve their flightmodel.
The visuals are also not that important for training as long as you have rivers, lakes, seas, topography, forests, streets and rail-tracks and of course airports (btw. default ones in XP being more realistic) for orientation (VFR).
msfs gets the cake on free plane mods because 12 just has ToLiss making there plane more than the fucking game🙄

Idk I've played both Sims alot and for visuals fs 2020 wins by far their airplanes are also getting there but idk, idk if it's just me but fs 2020 planes even pmdg their planes feel so light and doesn't feel like a actual plane not to diss pmdg or anyone they make brilliant stuff, but I've got over 1000 hours in X-Plane and even tho. I still play fs 2020 more recently because of its graphics X-Plane their planes now 3rd party like Zibo it feels nice and heavy and feels like a plane, but again that could just be me
