That was sweet! She lays on his tail enjoying his company in the sun. I guess he wanted more. Who would have thought, alligators could love each other.(He even brought flowers!) You can't judge a book by its cover. It's actually kind of painful realizing how unaware and down right dumb I've been, thinking alligators are vicious killing machines that are incapable of love. I scoff at people who think animals don't have emotions and think emotions are reserved only for humans. You have opened my eyes and heart to alligators! Thank you for the sweet video. Awww...your thoughts about these alligators are so sweet! 😁 I often have to question what I've read about alligators, especially when there are articles that talk about alligators being solitary except during mating season. I've often seen alligators together and in my last couple visits I've seen an obvious connection between two alligator "couples" with no mating involved, just what appears to be companionship. Since we can't get inside their heads and since we can assume from watching different alligators behaving differently, there must be "personalities" involved and therefore there may be a capacity to "love" or feel affection. I saw that bench and that gator and was sure glad I wasn’t seated there. I loved the flowers strung along his back. And him poppin’ up on the last approach. Maybe next time he’ll get lucky! What a trail you’ve got there to walk along!!
