Had to boot into recovery from there( CWM ) re-installed root privileges after clicking the (Reboot system now) button. still had the error code, so I go into (super su - menu - clean up - switch super user.) click this, it wiped all corrupted data and got it ready for new install. then (deleted super su re-installed it and re-booted.) fixed.
I always get stuck on "Installing, please wait.... If you see this message for more than five minutes, please reboot and try again". App stays in this state for indefinite period, I can reboot after and retry but always stays in this state for an indefinitely period. Running LG Nexus 5X and PA 7.3.1-RELEASE (Android 7.1.2)

Move the zip file in storage with file explorer. 3. Reboot in twrp. 4. Flash the zip file. 5. Reboot normaly. Done!!! Maybe if you have rooted your device with any other app causes this problem. I had kingroot installed and when I flashed supersu the kingroot app was deleted automatically. I think that happens because some root apps install their own superuser app and they can't work together.
lone wrecche Maybe you did something wrong. I think that you downloaded wrong zip of supersu. I did this and my phone works fine. It is your mistake. Sorry

I just clicked outside "SU Binary Occupied" message window and this disappear, then click on settings tab and check the "enable super user" box because it was unchecked. Reboot and it's rooted again

I would only say be careful this may not be the official version as the MD5 hash doesn't match. It should be d6eeb46bf4b72c9f5bda695b011ae054 according to supersu.com/download and I would recommend downloading the apk file from there instead.
