ALGORITHM BLESS THIS MAN
Amen 🙏
Thanks brother for sharing your work. It’s always nice to see other peoples restoration.😉🤙
Short and sweet! 🎉
Your video series is inspirational. My son and I will be doing the same level of work on our 69 VW bus this winter. Thank you.
Best of luck!
I build radios and other electronic devices but I really enjoy watching your metal work! I worked in the metal shop of an auto company more than 40 years ago and every spot weld has a fond place in my memory!
Glad you enjoy the content. I have a feeling every spot weld I put on this bus will one day be a fond memory for me 😁
Love just how thorough you’re in the preparation before you fit each panel 👍🏻 🏴
😊 thank you
I love watching the progress, there is nothing wrong with panel bond, if applied correctly.
Always look forward to these uploads 🤙👍
Look forward to learning something new weekly! Nice job
Thank you
Outstanding work. Very well done.
Thank you 😊 I was quite pleased with the results
Looking good 🎉
Looking good 👍🏼
Nice metal work very clean.
Oh man, just got two 1978 T2s to restore, have been watching all your videos! currently stripping to bare metal. Thanks for documenting your journey.
Glad you enjoy the series! Good luck on your two restos
Great job! Enjoying every video
Love to hear that. I'll keep them coming
Glad to know you are still alive after that live stream. Haha y'all were putting those beer AWAY!
Words can not describe how hungover I was the next day 😂 it was nice having you there

Thank you for pleasing the algorithm ❤️ lol
Oh boy, its a enjoyable video, but I am mostly glad that I don´t do projects like these. This is soooo much work!
I’m sure with your skills you wouldn’t have a problem taking on a project like this 😁
@@Vangabonders I don´t have the patience, I would have probably just bought a van that was made in 2015 and fixed that.
What you refer to as "the cardboard technique" is actually CAD, cardboard aided design. If you want some good fabrication inspiration and British humor , checkout Bad Obsession Motorsport and their Project Binky. Keep up the great work!
There you go again with preformed panels. LOL Looks a lot better than mine.
Rusty Dubbs
Honestly I wish I had the patience to fabricate a panel like this myself (and the skill). Love seeing the panels you make though haha
keep it up!
It's so funny watching progress on Yours Bus in comparison to restoration of Mitch Bergsma's Bus... And somehow I can relate to Yours way of doing it and imagine final result - bus to be used with nice Subaru engine, not overpolished and "better than factory" garage queen, to good to have fun driving around.
Haha, I'm a simple man. I want a simple ride :D
@@Vangabonders it won't be simple, it'll be dope!
I have owned a 1976 camper for 35 years I recently had some body work done that cost me a lot of money looking at your work I think you are doing a great job 👏
Thank you 🙏
As a person with an orange and white 1970 t2 original your efforts inspire me.Also good to know how it was constructed 🤙🍀🇬🇧
If there is any part of the bus you'd like to see in further detail let me know!
@@Vangabonders just electronic area the switches and contact positions under neath the stearing wheel inside the cover .Showing windscrean washer jet switch lever stalk as this area has No RUclips videos and is very important as i will try to replace the perished rubber pipe to switch
Great job with the panel adhesive. Have not used this yet. I did look into it once but found it very pricey
A tube goes a long way for this stuff
Have you tried “easy off oven cleaner” to remove that last bit of stubborn paint? It smells horrible but works pretty well and it’s an aerosol for those hard to reach places.
I still have to give that stuff a shot 👍
On my bus project, the torsion tube has rusted trought inside the frame running through the bus😬🙃 make sure to check your out
Thankfully most of the frame on my bus has been really dry and free of rust. Where my bus mostly suffered rust was from the holes that were cut in the roof and leaked into the interior 🙁
Leave a comment.... 🤣 Hi, how are you, keep up the great work :)
I am doing better now that you've left a comment 😉
awesome, this is amazing to have this section on video because nobody has shown this area for repair,
question, did you put adhesive on the long spot weld section or was that section with the holes clean, im not familiar with the ability to weld around an area with adhesive on it?
The adhesive was only used on the sides. Can’t weld through the adhesive while it’s setting. It would just melt it and put impurities in your weld.
I just found your channel ill give you credit for not doing this before you`ve gone deep . cant wate to see more. who owns the old mack in video ?
It belongs to my buddy Dalton. I ought to have him bring it by again for an in depth video!
Let me know when you're ready to sell that rotisserie...I really don't want to have to make my own...I'm lazy that way.
Buy the materials I’ll build ya one! Haha
is the side of the fender, at the rear portion at the side of the driver, welded?
I think lacquer thinner only works on enamel paint
What month was your bus built? Mine was built in August. Which means this August is my bus's 50th birthday. Pretty sure yours is a 73 too, right?
My bus is a 73 model but apparently it was built in November of 72! I missed her 50th birthday 😅
@Vangabonders aww... it's still fun to think that she's getting a restoration for her 50th anyway lol! Love your work man, I hope you don't burn yourself out. Keep on keepn on!
@@Odins-Dad I'm having too much fun to burn out. I'll run outta money before I burn out haha
What is Aspho and where can I buy some? 🔥👍
It's mostly phosphoric acid and you can get it at most hardware stores cheap. I get it from Ace Hardware! Ospho
Does it stop the rust from spreading?
@@liamfortune4645 It neutralizes it so if you then convert/seal it, it will no longer spread
Respond please
respond to what?
Nice video Kris, can you check the email or IG, we would like to work with you ~
