it only really works with wvw because in pvp everything is rotation based and about tactics, not about montaging a kill when your team needs you, which is why i like to show the full context
Man I suck at PvP but I'm having a blast with this build. It's so good against thieves that come in and do their little 1 shot condi burst then rifle 4 blink away. You just cleanse and convert to boons then chase them down. There's like 6 different chase down abilities on this. Very cool!
Nice WvW build, man 😃👍 Mobility is super. Have to get the hang of it...the play style. With this willbender build, the condi build are less of a problem. Practise is my next step. Thanks and keep up the good work 😊😎🥰😉

Pretty fun spec. I run a similar build with the same runes, power on willbender, tho I can see the need for healing power. Usually on berserker and sometimes with the willbender stunbreak, as I find it fun to evade and JI daze the enemy.

Yeah it kinda looks like just a guardian roaming just with more mobility. Though when you get the hang of f1f2f3 and if u manage to burst during those windows then virtues become very powerful.
@@Vallun When Dragonhunter first appeared you saw tons of longbow usage and traps. It was only after they started "Fixing" the Elite spec that those things dropped away. I really wish an Elite spec was "If you commit your character to it, it'll be an awesome reward" rather than "Here's some other things to add to your existing stuff" It should be Longbow = cool arrow stuff. 2 swords = cool twin blade stuff. Firebrand = cool axe stuff

This spec makes sense but Willbender isn't in a good place yet, compared to a lot of older strong specs across core, HoT, Pof and EoD; it gets outplayed by a lot of things because it mostly still plays just like a mediguard but with less damage. You would have won all these fights as Core Guard with a similar spec and Virtues instead of Willbender for more damage and survivability. DH would have been even easier.

Vallun which dual sword class do you think performs better in WvW roaming (assuming they both have speed runes), Willbender, or Rev? I've been wanting to focus on a dual sword class but usually don't like guardian as much, but Revs don't have a good ranged option for those times I want to attack groups from range in WvW and get some bags lol. Guardian at least has dragonhunter for this. So I'm really leaning towards Willbender/DH for WvW here. But I'd like to know how you feel about Rev and WB for power roaming. Celestial looks fun too but I'm really looking for this style of burst-and-run. :) Thanks man!
i just port in, drop dmg and port out. if i win then i try to port back if not then i run awaawy simple xd.. i play with rage runes, dragon armour and some cele marauder trinkets with marauder weapons.
How come you use your ground targeting moves without double clicking them to see the green field, then place them? Could you possibly go over or link a video that explains the proper keybinds/settings for WvW play?
it depends on the build im using, but you can go to combat/movement in general options and change ground targeting to fast or instant, if you want a better explanation on that go to my intermediate mechanics video
use speed if its too squishy, but i have a video coming out on that build sometime in the future that will be using scholar and it feels good to me but i've played it a lot
Tyrant Momentum is garbage. I complained about how bad the minus 2s duration for Justice during beta and they still kept it. You wouldn't need to have 19k HP if you take Restorative Virtue and Phoenix Protocol and have a mix of Harrier and Marauder gears = PermaAlacrity, PermaRegen. Also if you played Spellbreaker, Reversal of Fortune is your Full Counter. You're not an Assassin without Palm Strike (Heaven's Palm) -- combo it with Sword of Justice for a good shred. Renewed Focus is really not a good skill to bring since it slows you down by locking you in casting for 3s. The only Meditation skill you really need is Contemplation of Purity. Scepter/Sword is your main weapon set in WvW -- so much immob.
its disgusting to see willbenders every inch of borderlands now. they are more than thieves in number and they are hanging out in small gank squads like a plauge. do you think it needs to be toned down in terms of mobility, burst, boons?

used hammer with celerity alacrity and glacial blow. it was quite fun in small roaming party. just lock people down

most elite specs are like that, think about it, its just a few new elements with some meta utilities and traits

nope, that trait is designed to be redundant so that you basically are always fast

Tyrant momentum adds 2s duration to justice, not minus FYI. It's the lethal tempo that loses duration.
