Hello world, how are you doing?
In today’s video we will be checking out the 256gb image from arcade punks all in one image that has everything done for you as a plug and play. There is 512gb and a 1Tb and I will also be testing and showcasing them in future videos, they sadly tag a long time to download but the 512gb image should be ready in a few days.
Love to know what you think of the Arcade punks 256gb image?
Batocera is definitely a great option for emulation especially higher end stuff I will also be doing a long play video of Xbox emulation on the steamdeck to very soon.

Thank for putting this together. I’ve been in the emu scene but have stepped away since my daughter was born a few years back. This seems pretty easy even for me- saves me from spending $200 from eBay 😊

Arcade Punks is a great resource. I used their Complete Play catch--up build ~2 years ago to get my Complete Play Launchbox build up to date at the time. I doubt they're seeded now, but I'm glad to see they're still contributing the community in style.
Also, man you need those touchpad covers, and the ones for the back buttons. Even if you rarely use them, they add a lot of grip and make a world of difference for when you do.
always use the arcade punks builds on pc’s or on a actual arcade build but the steamdeck version is good can’t wait to test out the 512gb and 1Tb builds now. and I will have to check them out thanks buddy
Hi, Im trying this 256gb arcade punk batocera build but I have realized that it does not includes the MAME system, and the 512gb build does not include psx or psp systems. is it possible to add systems to make it even more complete? Thanks
Yes you can add roms to it but might have to do some tweaking in the settings but you will have to go through and delete the games you done want to make room for new ones
Hye man. After download it. Then extract it should be just 1 .img file is it? And may i know after extract it should be what size 240gb or fix 256gb? Coz now i already download and waiting it to be finish. And also i have only 256 sd card. That size shown only 238gb.
You should have loads of folders and then extract the file numbered 01 or 1 then it should make a image, then flash that to a Sd card but I used 512Gb card for the 256 image, but if you have a 256 Sd card you can try flashing it to see if it works? But I’m the arcade punks website it dose state it might need a higher card for the image
One question is how can you do all this yourself, with the videos and the image files, where do I get the images and the video files and where do I have to put them

HI can you help me ? I already download and installed it on my sd card but when I boot and open it there's no game in the list
Not sure why that is, how did you download it? And how did you extract it? And what did you use to flash it on to the Sd card?
All I want is a Model 3 emulator alone on the steamdeck. As a total nube, can anyone tell me if this is possible with Arcade punks or Batocera?
am looking to see if we can add it to emulation station on the deck as a stand alone, I will do a video when I have done it

@@j4y4re30 not for the steam deck sadly or not that I know of anyways! There are plenty of tutorials on how to set up emulation station or Batocera for emulation on the deck
Finally maganged to download the 250gb build for the Deck but the sound doesn't work?.... All I got was a bunch of hissing/static noises. I tried changing the driver and that stopped the hissing but didn't give me any sounds either?
Can anyone out there help?
Am not sure what to suggest, I remember the fist time I downloaded it I had no sound but I just downloaded it again and then it worked fine..the joys of downloading many hours is a right pain

Can the steamdeck run rpsc3 or wutever that ps3 emu is and 360? Or does it struggle
Wondered if u can help? i downloaded this image and put it on a 512gb card, i added a couple games but it says the card is full at 226gb? Any advice would be appreciated
Have to delete some games in order to add more, I would choose the game you will not be playing and then go from there to add the ones you actually want to play
Thanks for the video. How do you get it to boot up into that image? Look forward to seeing the Batocera image how to video. I may just download the image for now and get a large card sd card when its cheap on amazon days. If its not to hard to load that image on the steam deak.
it’s very easy, when you download the image it will be a lot of files all listed in numbers 1 to what ever number of folders are there. Then right click on the first folder number one and extract it with zip. it should then create a image, flash the image to the sd card. make sure the deck is turned off put in the sd card. hold down the - volume key and and hold the power button till you hear the sound of the deck turning on once the sound happens take your finger of the power button still holding the - volume key it should boot in to boot manager mode and then go down to the sd card with the image and select it and hit A button, it should just load straight up. hope that helps

@@SonicLoveEmulationso all the other image files just sit in the folder that downloaded and you just burn the image that is in the zipped file? Do I need to copy all those files that are under the zip to the card? It’s a bit confusing to me sorry.

too big for microsd card?? windows won't let me write this to 256gb microsd. having to tweak it before it will fit - makes this a huge waste of time.

What’s the build like, have you tested it yet? And how much was it if you don’t mind me asking? I have just downloaded the 512gb arcade punks build so just working on the video for it
@@SonicLoveEmulation it was €107 or about £100.
There's plenty of stuff on it all the way up to Switch, Mario Oddysey is on there. Lots of older systems as well. Overall I'd say it's pretty good. But I want the 2Tb build which will be far more extensive.

Hook it up to a dock and add keyboard and mouse hard drive with your games on it, then hold Fn and F1 it will bring up all the folders and then add your games but you will have to delete some in order to add them

Fab I'm still watching this one currently but definitely interested in this steam deck. I've only emulated on a gpd and the steam deck is more in my price range currently lol
does arcade punks have a 256gb image for the rp3+? its a pain to test what works for ps2 and gamecube.....
not that I know of sadly, so far I think it’s only for steamdeck
Well the RP3+ runs android OS only so I dont think you will get images for android systems the way you can with Batocera.
The steam deck image is a Batocera flashable image,and other systems that support linux.

So you can take the roms off ya mean?
Yeah but they would be in the iso image.
But regardless, thats why you wont find images for android devices.
So it might be tedious and time consuming but you may just have to use trial and error to see what games work and what dont.
Or perhaps theres a reddit or forum post somewhere where someone else has already tested all the roms and made a list to what works on it.
Why are they making these images take 100% of the @#$%@$#%ing SD cards? It's an image so I doubt any files can be extracted to lower the size before burning/imaging.
Just remove one or two huge games and we'd be ok! Even the 1tb one says it "should" work on exactly ONE model of SD card...just kills any interest I have in this.

The difference in price for a 512gb card and 1tb is huge, it’s like $100.
How easy is it to remove and add games?
Ya man it’s not to bad need a keyboard and mouse and then hit F1 to get in to the file system and then add the roms with a hard drive
@@SonicLoveEmulation how well does batocera run the PS2 gcube PS3 and og Xbox I've used coinops but for some reason haven't ever tried batocera don't know much about it unfortunately
Loving this build so far. Does anyone know how to exit out of model 3 games? The usual select and start isn't working for me.
mine is working as in select and start, strange it’s not working for you though
I struggle to download these packs as the dl speed is terrible :/
