    Welcome to our video on 3 killer face up post moves. These are three of my favorite face up post moves and footwork that you can use to get easy buckets in the paint. It doesn't matter how tall or big you are, with these post up moves you should be torching your defender anytime you catch in the paint. As a post up player it's important to keep your moves efficient, no matter if you're playing face up or with your back to the basket and these are awesome for that. There are a bunch of really great moves you can use in the post but these are three of the easiest face up ones to do with very little training or practice. Don't be surprised if you see highlights from some of the biggest NBA stars and legends using these moves.
    Players like Hakeem Olajuwon and Tim Duncan made a killing out of the post up and a ton of it was all because of their footwork just like this. So master these simple moves and get some easy buckets!
    Moves you will learn today:
    - Reverse Pivot Spin Move
    - Reverse High Rip Power Move
    - Face Up Step Back Move
    Shot Mechanics combines the advantages of personalized coaching with the accessibility of the internet.

    I like the fact that transitions to different post move with one stance. It also shows the dynamic foot work that you must use to put the move in the works.

    Hey:) I love your videos! they are just amazing!
    but could you make a video about training that peripheral vision. I am often just too focused on getting that ball in the rim that I don't see my teammates who might be standing completely free and in the perfect position to shoot the ball etc.
    Would love that. Thanks!

I know you've already done a video about them but you haven't told your audience how to get into a fadeaway and haven't given any drills. Thanks a lot!

    In the third post up move, You continue to do an important error: when you do the separation dribble and grab the ball with both hands, the direction of your feet is wrong. Your feet have to be in the direction of the basket to take the right balance for a shot. Or almost the right/left foot of your shooting hand.

    Coach I'm a mediocre player, but my playing ability gets more hindered because I get too emotional in a game. Could you give some tips on how to mentally control myself? I would like to have composure like Kawhi Leonard.

    • @owenamadasu7955
      @owenamadasu7955 7 лет назад +5

      I'd say meditate, eat healthy, and stretch before you sleep and when you wake up... be relaxed when youre getting on the court

    • @oliverhumphris4771
      @oliverhumphris4771 7 лет назад +3

      Getting better at controlling your emotions first starts with this: if a ref makes a call you don't agree with, get over it and out of your mind as quick as possible. If you hang on to that it will frustrate you more.
      So basically having a short memory while you are playing is a good idea.

    First one is a travel in fiba

    • @stefanokiss4890
      @stefanokiss4890 7 лет назад +9

      In NBA too. I mean in the rules book it is travel. After one dribble you can do 2 steps maximum, not three like here. In the actual games of NBA officials do not stop you if you make three or more steps (we can see 6-8 or more in Shaqtin-a-fool), but that is not legal theoretically (by the rules).

    • @shadowsbruh6987
      @shadowsbruh6987 7 лет назад +22

      In the NBA you can take three steps after the dribble with one step being a gather step.

    • @stefanokiss4890
      @stefanokiss4890 7 лет назад +6

      Sorry, but no. This is absolute false information. They let you doing it, but it is a violation by the rules. Check this: videorulebook.nba.com/archive/travel-at-the-end-of-the-dribble-player-takes-3-steps-after-gathering-the-ball/

    • @shadowsbruh6987
      @shadowsbruh6987 7 лет назад +23

      By a gather step i am saying that the first step that the dribbler has taken right when they conclude their dribble is not counted as a step in todays NBA

    • @jon-vegard8386
      @jon-vegard8386 7 лет назад +4

      Definitely is. I've been trying to work on this move, but it's impossible to do with just one bounce. If you were to attack with your left foot in the same direction, it works.

      What I do when I can't make shots, I spend like 2 hours in the gym shooting the same shot I missed. I just keep shooting, and shooting, so it creates muscle memory. As far as crossing defenders, do dribbling drills. Dribble with two balls, and do in and out crossover drills.
