Buckstop is the brand of bumper that our DNR, Fish and Wildlife, Park Ranger, and Forest Service/wildland uses here. I've been eyeing them, you've sold me! Another awesome video! 💪
I got a Ranch Hand Legend for my 2016 Ram 1500 Ecodiesel when new. Previously, I drove a Chrysler Town & Country van. One day I was going Eastbound on CA-46, approaching Shandon. Cruising about 70mph. About 9 cows started trotting out onto the highway through a hole in the fence. If I braked, we would still hit. So I accelerated, just barely clearing the cows. I went home to Lancaster. 3 days later traded in the Chrysler for the Ram. Got the Bumper installed in Bakersfield. When I drove by those cows again. They all moved away from the highway. It seems both Deer and Cows stay away from the Ranch Hand bumper. Coyotes and bird are a different story. My truck has only a 4" lift and 33" tires. But when I pull up to a 4 way stop. Most people politely insist that I go first. My daughter and son-in-law put a Buckstop on their new Ram 3500 Megacab Cummins. I plan to put a Herd aluminum bumper on my wife's Ram 2500 Crewcab Cummins. It is always fun to watch your adventures and misadventures on RUclips.
My favorite brand is "Ben". He's a friend who does Demolition Derby,is an excellent welder and knows how I work my trucks,so when I have him build stuff like bumpers, hitches, headache racks, etc. for my trucks he includes a VERY generous measure of overkill. NEVER had anything he built fail, and believe me when I say they've had every excuse to.
Another great add on, I want to see your new with the bumper and the old together. If you still had your old one, you probably wouldn’t have the new and improved Larry. Thanks for sharing Sam👍👍👍🇺🇸
Texas forestry service switched from Warn winches to 12000LB Badland winches. Last just as long for half the price. And that's the 9000 and 12000. Anything smaller is made cheaper. Nice truck😎
I've owned four of the old ones. None of the new ones. (yet) Bambi beware! I absolutely love these things. Had several of the rear bumpers too. Glad to see the legend still lives. I still have two OBS Fords with those bumpers, plus Warn 12,000's. Absolutely the best setup I know of.......as long as I can afford to keep replacing ball joints, etc. Those bumpers are heavy.
There was a guy in Sonora, CA making stainless bumpers about 20 years ago. Out of business now. I bought one for my ‘94 after I hit a deer and destroyed the stock bumper, and it’s now on my ‘01. At the time, Dodge wanted $500 for a replacement bumper, so I rolled that into the price of a real bumper. Looks a lot like yours, but brushed stainless. The ‘94 had the snowplow option, so no sag and the stainless is lighter, anyway.
Very nice touch. I've got matching Ranch Hands on mine. They were on it when I got it. You can't beat a full replacement. If they weren't on it there's no telling what I would've got. My 01 already had a brush guard on it and saved me when I hit a deer doing 40. You need a match for the rear.
got an Ali Arc on my 98 12v , nicest bumpers IMO and light and strong will still protect truck from moose and deer , , all aluminum . same approx. weight of stock bumper , gota polish it once a year but its easy on ball joints and everything else in front end . , cummins is heavy enough without adding another 300lbs
I found 27 buck stop bumpers off econoline ambulaces at the junk yard and I couldn't pass them up. I sold most of them, doubled my money and me, my dad, and my buddy have bumpers for our trucks now (with some modifications)
Sam I couldn't worry about Priuses or Smart cars. However cows and deer may still do damage. I would hit the brakes for them. Smart cars are just air cushions for trucks. Lol God bless
@V-BELT and SON Sam, have you noticed any increase in post intercooler, intake air temperatures on your 2018 3500? After you put on your aluminum bumper. I ask cause I think i heard somewhere that was one of the many reasons they have yet to offer a cummins powerwagon. Since the winch blocks the intercooler. Would be interested to hear from you about this if you have the time. Thanks again, keep up the good work out there and be safe.
Headlights? Please... Awesome bumper!! Really makes the truck. IMHO Really enjoy your video's! Not hard to seperate the real folks from the rest.. I run Iron Cross, HD w/Grill Guard in front & HD in back. 99 24v 5spd. But Sam, throw a guy a bone will ya please and tell us the low down on the headlights!!, Please... I'll buy the BBQ & Beer next time ya get back down here to TEXAS!
I know I know, another interweb know it all. But when you put those bolts in the bracket. Gotta stuff those holes bolt down. That way, if the nut comes off. At least the bolt stays in the hole. Not always, but you sure do increase your chances of that happening.
Buck stop has a shop here in central oregon right across the highway from Proline in a town called Prineville. Like 15 minutes from my house and I still have neither lmao! I really like the Ruenell (or however you spell it) polished stainless steel bumpers, I want to get the stainless number and a C and M aluminum flatbed with the 4 boxes like snowman has for my 4th gen
I’m running a Ranch hand on my 2015 Ram 2500 with a 6spd manual. Traded my factory bumper and a lil 22” light bar for it. I like it for what it is. I’ve already tagged four deer with it on my way to work.
Looks good .ever consider painting the new bumper to match the grey ,same as bottom of door ? V belts 2door truck is looking mighty good too ! Very Clean Truck . Enjoy the Channel !
Always had ranchhand bumper brush guards but there’s a guy in the edge of Alabama bout 20 min away that makes custom bumpers and might give him a shot for my 2018 ram.
My all time favorite bumper is TDK, local for me here in Mt, have front and rear on my 98, have hit a deer @ 65 with it.. give er a wash and she brand new haha
Cotontop3 has a dodge diesel truck and his bumper looks much lower than yours that he added and had to cut some additional holes in his to keep from running hot . Not enough cooling air ,his brothers too . Maybe yours being so high will get the amount of cooling required to keep from running hot in the summer or pulling heavy loads ?
I’ve never had an issue like he has. His issue is the intercooler is all in the bumper on a 4th gen. I tow heavier than he does with my 4th and custom bumper. I was concerned about that issue but I guess mine has a bigger opening for the intercooler. No issues so far
I wanted to get a buckstop for my 17 4500 but they wanted 5 weeks to build one so I just ordered a ranch hand and it’s an absolute pos. It already had rust on the inside of the welds straight out of the box and it doesn’t fit my truck at all. It seems like it’s made for a 3500 with brackets for a 4500/5500 so it’s too narrow. I will definitely never order another ranch hand again.
Nice deer protection.
And a universal key to open any Prius. 😉
I just appreciate they gave you a work service to kneel on with all that cardboard! Clean Install!

You say light holes, I say foot wells. Perfect for stepping up on the bumper while servicing it.
Ranch hand have always been my go to for a damn near indestructible bumper. I've painted the highway with many a deer without damage to my truck.
@@todd1hd throughout the course of my 30yrs of driving, I've probably hit a dozen or so.
I hit one with the corner of my ranchhand on my 5500. And well the deer turned into a frisbee. Bumper didn’t care. I was doing 45
Man those B&C milkshakes are something... Had a feeling you were somewhere in my neck of the wood, now confirmed. Drive safe man ;)
Another great add on, I want to see your new with the bumper and the old together. If you still had your old one, you probably wouldn’t have the new and improved Larry. Thanks for sharing Sam👍👍👍🇺🇸
Man that’s a HOSS DADDY!!!!!! Proud to see you getting you truck just the way you like it!!!!!!!

Such a nice bumper! They make a great 1st gen bumper that I will end up getting for my truck as well.
Seeing this makes me miss my old 12v I myself wish I never sold mine man loving the video content man nicely done
Nice looking truck!

I'm running a Ranch Hand Legend series front bumper on my 06' F350 6.0L crew cab. Plan to get the matching rear bumper as well as side steps soon.
Nice battle bumper 👍👍👊👊 you should of called I would of come down and giving you a helping hand
Very nice bro. 👍🏻. The black looks good on that truck. Im a chrome guy myself. Good job on that truck

Nice bumper! I’ve always cut my inner fender to match contour of the bumper. Looks a lot cleaner.
I found 27 buck stop bumpers off econoline ambulaces at the junk yard and I couldn't pass them up. I sold most of them, doubled my money and me, my dad, and my buddy have bumpers for our trucks now (with some modifications)
I envy the rust free look, we don’t get that much here in Michigan.
Sam I couldn't worry about Priuses or Smart cars. However cows and deer may still do damage. I would hit the brakes for them. Smart cars are just air cushions for trucks. Lol God bless
I've had my 96 for 20 year's now 275,000 running strong!
I like the 98 better than your old one, looks great👌🔥

I put a Bull nose on my 03 Dodge, what a difference it made
Sick truck! Trim those fender well liners at a angle to match the angle of the bumper so there not hanging down in the front!
Headlights? Please... Awesome bumper!! Really makes the truck. IMHO
Really enjoy your video's! Not hard to seperate the real folks from the rest..

Love that truck and bumper! Keep up the awesome content!
Not sure which winch your buying from Harbor freight but the new model lower profile winch they sell is really good. Bumper looks great Sam.
SAM THEY NEED TO HAVE BUMPERS FOR DOOR I KEEP HAVING DEER HIT MY DOORS
Nice bumper ! Looks really good 👌🏻 it’s similar to the one I had on my 96.
Looks like the homeless Hilton scattered around V-belt's driveway 🤣! With the white waterproof roofin ta boot
Good looking bumper.

buckstop is my favorite. have backstop bumpers on 3 brush rig trucks at my local fire department.
Nice bumper Sam! Keep up the good work and happy birthday today!

Sweet bumper! Nice addition to the Grail.
RanchHand is what I have on my 3rd gen,.. love it , a beast of a bumper
ranch hand legend
It looks awesome! Very well made! V-blt's truck had a tear in it's headlight though, think it wants one to... LOL 8)
That's an awesome bumper bud 😎 I'm thinking of going ranchhand my self 👌
Awesome. It's lookin sweet.
Looks good .ever consider painting the new bumper to match the grey ,same as bottom of door ? V belts 2door truck is looking mighty good too ! Very Clean Truck . Enjoy the Channel !
did u say " cute light bar" ??
you and words...I love it about your channel...cheers
Hahah super cute 💁🏼♀️
Liked the black rims on the old 12 valve
They are on my buddies 12 valve now
Dude you need to hook up your dad new truck with a bumper set up like that! Very cool!
Always had ranchhand bumper brush guards but there’s a guy in the edge of Alabama bout 20 min away that makes custom bumpers and might give him a shot for my 2018 ram.
put spikes on the top bar to grab the deer as it hits from going over the top to windshield
I’ve bought 3 fab fours and one ranch hand . Fab Four is a little lighter and ranch hand is tough but heavier.
My all time favorite bumper is TDK, local for me here in Mt, have front and rear on my 98, have hit a deer @ 65 with it.. give er a wash and she brand new haha
Leave the plate off. Looks kick ass!
That bumper gave that sweet 12 valve a nice touch! Hey Sam is that a multi1 I see there, I wouldn't mind seeing some content on that.
Good looking bumper there Sam.
I know the feeling when you sell something and you regret after....😅
mikestrucks You can’t keep them all. Lmao 😂.
Lone Wolf that’s for sure ! 😂
Mike misses his first gen lol
Jay Gregory I’m still chasing her... haha
That's why I'm not selling any more of my trucks or bikes. From here on,they're ALL keepers.
Definitely hitting a prius or Tesla would be interesting...Lol
Hey Sam don't sell any 12 valve. I like hand made ones. Still have to put my touch on the one I picked up
Awesome 2nd
Wow that bumper looks so good!
I hope the 98 stays around. The 98 and the 04 are my two favorites. Speaking of the 04 we haven't seen much on it lately ?
You must be going to black rims since you got a black bumper.
Lone Wolf and some black stacks maybe 🤔😂
mikestrucks 🙀
I am thinking about buying a move bumper cuz it looks cool on the 96 f350 and it’s the cheep bumper if you don’t mind doing some welding
Nice job v belt , looks class! 👌
Looks good
Dads truck looking good ya put new shoes on her ?
Love the new bumper looks great
Coating on there looks good.
It looks sweet I'm running a rhino bumper front and rear on my 2016
I think I would have left it on the pallet to move into position. Less chances of a mistake with forks
I like Ranch hand and Hammerhead...But that there bumper you installed seems well buit to...ill check em
BADASS man i need me one of those. Lol next time you take her out try out a mailbox haha love the videos keep em coming
My favorite is garbage day. 🤘🏻
Nice looking on truck.
I run a thunderstruck bumper on my 06 24 valve, I believe they make them for the second gens as well but I'm not sure, love the content

Love the bumper but I can see the head of the deer hitting the headlight when you hit it. Otherwise I love the look and construction of the bumper.
Hit a deer with same bumper on other rig. Truck won. No damage
I like it, but it adds to much to the front end for my liking...
What you want for the old bumper?
I wanted to get a buckstop for my 17 4500 but they wanted 5 weeks to build one so I just ordered a ranch hand and it’s an absolute pos. 2" too small? If I had a dollar every time I heard that!
Regular cab Dually ...drool drool...
You should trim the fender wells
Thinking about puttin one on my 06 f250 pstroke
How will the weight of that bumperguard effect your load capacity in towing and overall truck weight?? I like that guard
Very little. Be like having another person in the truck at most
Check out the bolts make sure grad 8 or better
Looks good! Now it needs black wheels!
I think it would look better if the bottom was panted gray to match .
Love my Boondock rear bumper on my 3rd gen Ram.
Wow that’s Bad Ass!!! So beefy
Hell yeah
We refer to those as "people pushers" here in PDX.
Nice bumper. I got a peacemaker bumper on my 2nd gen
Need to put the same bumper on your dad's new truck
Keep up the good work sam
Bubba Gump lip cracks me up lol
add couple kc lights in there!
I've got a ranch hand legend bumper on my 95 12v
