@@MichaelHsu95 well I actually own two. One I had done in all black with black knits in cow form a company called Flightsuits. @@MichaelHsu95 price is indeed a huge issue no doubt. But for me correct size is just as big an issue. I have a real hard time finding any nice leather jackets that are in a 36s which is what I wear. Gibson & Barnes has those in their size chart right off the bat. The G1 I got on sale for $ 460.00 and had to have the sleeves shortened which meant new knits as well. That was an additional $ 170.00. but now the leather sleeves no longer come down over the knits. Looks and feels much better. The Indy jacket was custom made according to measurements I sent them ( Wested Leather ) by the way.
@@kenamaro3942 yes yes sizing is huge as well, I’ve gotten so many leather jackets that I don’t like to wear because the sizing is just off. How did custom made leather jacket come out, does it fit perfectly? I tried custom made leather jackets before, but I prefer off the shelves haha

I've had two Cooper A2s (love them...) and have been curious about the FiveStar... (and Cockpit, Eastman, and BillKelso for that matter) ... THANKS for the video.
Now this is the way you ship a jacket! I purchased a jacket from AVI Leather. They stuff their jackets in a small bag so when you receive them the leather is full of creases and folds and wrinkles! The jacket looked horrible! I may have to look into this company. This jacket looks very nice!
The sleeves length looks good, did you have to get them shortened? I find their sleeve lengths on their charts are very long. Just wondering if you had to get them shortened. Oh yeah and it’s been 6 months….

A great review - thank you. Can I ask what your chest measurement is (yours, not the jacket) and if you ordered 'off the rack' or did you send them measurements. Many thanks.
How is the shoulder size of the jacket compared to your normal shoulder size? I have a 18.5 in Harrington jacket that feels nice but this Dubow is short on the shoulders but longer on the sleeve(M/42 size in my case). I was considering asking Shawn to increase shoulder to 18.5 and reduce the sleeve to 25 in. Thanks!
Not too bad for the price but unless you go up to say an Eastman the fit is always a bit baggy for me. Should be fairly form fitting in shoulders and arms should be slimmer in keeping with the WW2 spec. I have an actual WW2 AN-J-3 and it fits like my Eastman. I think they fit as such because people aren’t so lean anymore. I will say that my Avi Leather D-1 fits as it should. I had a real period D-1 and it fits the same.

You do too much talking without focusing on key points such as your actual size, ie: 42 reg? 44 reg? What size are you in a suit jacket? Then you try the jacket on while sitting behind a table. Seriously? The lighting indoors was better than when you went outside. When you finally stand to show the jacket fit, the lighting is behind you and not facing you making it impossible to see details of the jacket. If you're going to make vids that evaluate the quality and fit of a garment, THINK about what you are doing. As a person who is interested in this same jacket, important questions could have been answered if you merely took the time to give the viewer a baseline for your numerical size and if you stood up while putting on the garment. I watched this vid 3 times and I actually squinted my eyes hoping to see fitment details of this jacket when you were in a standing position. This was a very frustrating video to watch.
