I usually used to solve in about 1 minute and and above, but when I learnt cfop and started watching your vedios I can now solve it in 45 seconds! Which has a lot of improvement. Compared to other vedios your tutorials are much easy to understand and follow 👍👍👍👍 👍.

In the first example you give I use F l' F' l. It's really fast if you grip right with your left hand(you hold the cube with the thumb under the cube with the left hand before executing first F, that way after l' you use your left hand index finger to do the F' and then go back).
Much better then F R' F' R. Mine It's basically the same but you don't use two F moves.

  • @havlicgd8957
    @havlicgd8957 8 лет назад +11

Just few things to say here. First of all, you are a great teacher, great speedcuber and definetely deserve more subs, views, likes etc.. Second, CFOP method is actually not that hard once you get the hang of F2L, as it took me 1h straight to just figure out how to solve F2L, and now I can do it constantly (only problem is that I need to use more finger tricks and no cube rotation), and third, heck yeah, 2-look OLL and 2-look PLL are both easy to learn but take more time, so instead what I did, was set up each of the cases by removing pieces from the cube and rearranging them to corresponding case, and for each day I repeated each algorithm over 100 times. In less than a month, I learned full OLL and full PLL which got me under sub 10 time (nope im not participating in contests yet) and my PB is 7.26 secs (7.261 more clearly), so im developing my method of solving cube, which would do F2L and OLL in the same time (yes sounds impossible, but I've researched), so after I finish, I would personally like to PM you and give you instructions on ACFOP (Advanced CFOP) and I want you to test it out. If learned all algorithms properly (I've developed 72 of them so far, with 30 exceptions that need to be put to the test, and over 20 more added) the cube could be solved in less than 3 seconds. If I manage to do cross + F2L OLL PLL (orienting and permutating last layer included with F2L) that would give cubers an average time of 2.5 secs (if as fast as Lucas Etter). Thanks for reading, and GL!

Mats Valkyrie uses a series of algorithms to do OLL before inserting the last F2L pair, it’s like 200+ algs I think, but there’s something called Winter Variation that has less algs so it’s easier to learn, but takes longer to perform.

On th F2L pair at 4:40, instead of bringing the corner up using, breaking up the pair, then inserting it, why didn't you just do UL'U'LU'B'UB? It would have inserted the edge faster than doing the F2L case for that?

    • @ParadoxCubing

I recommend learning more PLL algorithms and working towards full PLL, you can also learn some easy OLLs as well. Also yeah it might be useful to learn some short quick F2L algs to make your F2L more efficient, but I would say mostly work towards full PLL. And yes, the stickerless zhanchi is a great cube, my first speedcube :)

At 4:56, when you did the 1LOLL algorithm, you did a U2 AUF and did l' U' L U' L' U2 l. Instead, what you could do is r' U' R U' R' U2 r without doing the U2 AUF. I'm quoting you, "so it's the exact same moves except you're doing it with your left hand". Only in this case, you're doing it with your right hand. I know OLL doesn't matter in this video but still.

  • @thecuriousgamers3803

I'm not sure if you check this video much anymore, but I do 2 look oll, and pll. If I wanted to learn full OLL and PLL should I learn PLL first? Or OLL? Cause for OLL I have an idea to learn all OLL's. To learn how to do OLLS from the L on the cross, the line, and the single middle piece, since I already know the yellow cross's OLLS.

Yeah I'm working on my PLL these days so that's good, and about the OLL how many cases do you think I should learn? I consider myself a fast learner, I mean I can learn even 3 algs a day of PLL for example but I won't be able to take the case and figure out the algorithm for it fast it would take me time to recognize the case easily. Oh and about the cross, I do fairly it well (advanced) right now so I think working on my PLL and OLL would be better for now. Anyways, thanks for the help.

I know around half of the OLL algorithms (or maybe a bit more) so I would recommend learning like half at the same time as finishing learning full PLL. Go for the ones that dont have any edges and just corners oriented, since those are 3 look. Hope this helps and good luck!

Just one question, does fast beat music help you solve the cube faster....i have heard people talking about it. If yes, can you suggest some?

I'm currently learning Full OLL and I know Full PLL and some F2L cases, I'm really slow at F2L and I usually get pauses to look for pairs, am I not using my Inspection time wisely or do I need more practice?

Yeah it follows L. It's stupid in my opinion. It should follow R like x

XESCoolX Agreed. Plus, E follows D instead of U, but S is normal, following F.

So does M follow L or R? I thought ParadoxCubing was a decent cuber? How can he get it wrong?

+Paradox Cubing i have a question... It takes me around 30-50 seconds to solve the rubik's cube by using the beginner's method. Will it make me faster to solve it if i learned this CFOP method and by how much time?

I think I made somehow my cube sticky a little and it makes me nervous, any ideas how to clean it without damaging my stickers? :)) Btw I have Moyu Aolong V2
Also, as much as I remember you said that for beginners you reccomend a cube with not really good corner cutting to make your turns more accurate, I have that problem so what cube do you recomend me to buy for faster TPS?

Hey, I have learned all the algos for f2l and I wonder if it´s bad to use lower case d moves to basically rotate the cube? Using the algos on the back is so difficult since you have to insert the algo in your brain first..

I've just started with the advanced method and I'm currently learning the F2L. I just managed to solve the F2L without turning the cube once. The downside was that I had to use F and B moves a lot. Especially when inserting a pair on the backside, where you cant see. Is there a way to minimize the changes in hand position? Is it possible to insert a pair on the back side without using B moves?

Idk if it counts as a cube rotation, but usually I drag the layer or two layers with me so it does both in 1 move. It seems fine to me but I'm not a pro by any means

The algs u re using not only for f2l but for oll and pll also are from a single site (if yes which one?) or from various sites and vids? I m just asking because the site I m using (cubewhizz) has only one type of alg for f2l for fr...not all 3 u just used :P and so I have to search for rare vids like this one to find the rest of them. In any case thx for the vid it was really helpful!

Hey, I figured that youtube is a pretty informative source so can anyone help me? I use beginners oll and beginners pll. I'm trying to learn f2l and it's pretty hard because it takes forever for me to do. My best time is 1:04 without using f2l. Does anyone know a way for me to solve faster? Do I learn advanced oll or pll or try to learn f2l better? Sorry for all the questions.
