The Skatalites - Ska Ba - Coxsone Records
❤️ Fantastic ! 🦅🎵
This is my all time fav tune.........., when you hear CONSTANT JAMMIN' play.........,you know this tune is gonna mash up the dance................Brilliant!
I had this 45 back in the 1960s. As I recall, the original release (this particular recording) was credited to "Tommy McCook" on the label, rather than to the Skatalites (Tommy was the band's founder). The Skatalites re-recorded and re-released this tune a couple of times afterwards too, but this recording is the best, to my mind, with the solos reminding me of Miles Davis and John Coltrane! I would give my eye teeth for an mp3!
straight on my ska playlist
nice one
This 🎵 is on 🔥!
Love it!
tommy was exceptional leader and greater than great world class musician if there is a doubt music is not your true calling.

My Favorite one SKA BA
BIG BOUT YA
❤ soul food ❤
[Regarding the credit on the "original" label, I would not be surprised to learn that this changed a few times, even with the same pressing. It's a long time ago, but I think this record might have appeared on the Island label in the UK. The shop I bought it from was in Blackpool, and specialised in ex-jukebox records.]
Sorry to post again, but my memory about the UK release on Island seems to be supported by a link on the right of this screen. I checked it out and its the same session.
Frank Anderson trumpet, if my mind serves me right,, nice Latin standard
tommy mc'cook was the leader by default and not the founder of the skatalites, original studio one the pirates pilfered countless Jamaican music pirate style in the 60's no surprise check your facts do not contribute to lying history ie Chris colombus dam liar.
