On my summer trips to Colorado, I've spent more time fly fishing the small back country streams than I have the larger, and more popular, larger streams and rivers. This video captures that experience very well.

Oh my, how I wish I were there. Just to enjoy the out doors. Go fly fishing and for super have trout, pork-n-beans with fried potatoes and a couple slices of white bread. That would be my meal of a life time. Set there afterwards with a cold glass of tea and watch the water go by. Your a very blessed man to get to do what you do. That is most men’s dream of doing but you live it. Now that I am suffering with cancer I depend on you to film the experiences I want to live. Thank you for the video. You have no idea what it means to me to watch it.

I also love fishing small streams. In fact it’s my favorite way to fish. I love the peace and serenity they offer. For trout I usually fish the small streams of the Driftless or actually small streams for bass close by my house.

Your video is way too good! I am a Colorado boy born and raised. Before work forced me to Vegas I worked at Anglers ALL in Littleton. As God as my witness...I envy what you do! People you to ask me what I was doing on my days off. I would laugh and tell them I will let you know when I get back. Thank you.. The Artful Angler.

These videos perfectly illustrate the core of fly fishing. Whether you caught a fish or not in this amazing looking location it wouldn't matter. But the odd one to the net makes life more manageable.

Small creeks & streams are some of the best fishing here in Colorado. Its up close & personal, very intamite way of fishing. I'm blessed to live in an area where I have so many smaller waters to fish. Colorado rocks when it comes to these types of waters.

Such a nice find here! I guess now I may be viewed as an 'old timer' yet I grew up with a father who was a fanatical small stream fly-fisherman. Years of trying to keep up with him on brushy creeks, (when young often crying thinking he left me behind) and exploring almost every single river in Colorado numerous times. Learning the biomes of these small streams is a rich joy & developing the skill & intuitions to fish effectively was something my father gifted to me, although I needed to be an adult to fully appreciate it. I like may have a favorite place that I will never share where I can catch 70+ fish in a day (all released) of fishing a wild water with not a single sign that other humans exist. Such a special treasure that I hope remains with the coming pressures of development & population growth. Thanks for the great video that brings back a flood of wonderful memories for me as I sit housebound under quarantine rules in distant Ethiopia. The wild streams & flyfishing are about all I miss about home these days.

... Maybe I shouldn't be so specific 😂 actually it's really not and it's not like it's a big secret. San juan tailwater is closer to me by 15 min but I'd rather drive more and catch fewer, smaller fish than deal with that zoo.

too bad rainbow trout is endangered in Colorado and is also the Colorado state fish and has to be released immediately after caught if you cook it and kill it you could be fine $250,000 that's only rainbow trout the brown trout in the bath now that is fine but people were overdoing the trout fishing and cause them to almost become extinct in our state so if you're fishing in Colorado you must release any rainbow trout get that through your head now look up the laws and regulations in each state before you go fishing there you have to have a fishing license to fish there even if you're from out-of-state you can get a one or two or a week-long fishing license that is required in this state so you better have one I'm a resident and the local and if I have to have a fishing license and can't eat rainbow trout either can you
