He stressed that retaliation with counter-accusations would trap society in a "vicious cycle," advocating instead for reason, facts, and citizens' rights.
He expressed confidence that truth will ultimately triumph over falsehoods. Addressing Article 19 of the Constitution, he acknowledged that while it guarantees freedom of expression, it also prohibits attacks on Pakistan's sovereignty, security, and defense in the name of free speech. The DG clarified that the Constitution and laws of Pakistan do not tolerate anti-state propaganda.
When questioned about potentially lifting the ban on the social media platform X, he noted that the decision wouldn't be made in this forum.
