@@JetSurfingNation There are two lakes near me. One at my home on the water and a much bigger lake about 25 miles away. I will have to get the home owners association to allow the board on the lake I live on. They classify E-Foils as PWCs in the US and so they get lumped in with the noisy Jet Ski pile which stinks. Again, thanks so much for your videos!
Jet is definitely here to stay, especially now that these super fun alien watercrafts are invading (I mean that with admiration) every body of water, including flat lakes. But I don't see it replacing the propeller just as jet hasn't replaced props of other crafts in sea or sky entirely. But there might be certain locations that will one day only allow jet versions, due to legislated safety concerns. Time will tell.
all looks good i like the idea one battery with more uses in different boards.on my fliteboard if i get a tangle in the prop i can clear in the water does not seem that easy with jet pump .will the drag effect power of wave riding or what solution they come up with
How did it go riding waves? can you come off the throttle and ride a wave? or too much drag? Similar riding time to other efoils, but 9kg extra weight and much larger batteries. Does not sound more efficient to me
I don’t think you can ride jet completely depowered, you still need to keep jet going at least little bit to avoid drag. But not enough experience in waves yet, the day they came was flat. Lets see next few months for more rides in waves.
remote with thumb trigger makes me think of a 4 wheeler ATV. 👍🏼 Are there speed levels on the remote? Or do the different modes serve well enough to limit the speed for beginners and those that prefer mellower speeds?
It's completely different approach. The folding prop is great for wave riding completely depowered. With Jet i don't think you can completely depower, you still need to keep power going to avoid drag. Jet is also safer for beginners but makes the setup heavier.
How is the feel and efficiency of the jet compared to a standard prop like on the Flightboard? Did you actually get the claimed runtime of up to 2 hours?
I can't verify exact riding time because it was a lucky short visit, they are driving through Europe on a big VINGA test tour and only stopped in my place for a few hours to do quick interview and water tests. But from what we saw the riding time was pretty good, we were about an hour in the water and only spent half the battery. Also when you are learning you are going to use much more battery (because we fall a lot and overuse the power) compared to pro rider who will fly easier.
Well after i tried all efoils it gets pretty easy, it's like sitting in a new car, it is just another car. But for complete beginner it will be pretty challenging to learn on such a small board. Usually people learn on a huge Fliteboard air.
Thanks for getting back to me on the runtime. I was just worried that the jet design might cause more drag and hurt the range, but it sounds like it should get close enough to what they are saying.
We can't be really comparing them yet.. Fliteboard is world leading established brand in efoils, offering top class tech and dozens of wings, board types etc.. Awake is jetboarding brand, they are only now entering efoiling market with just 1-2 board sizes and barely any wings yet. The system is very heavy as well. They have great tech as well and bright future but it's not there yet to compare to Fliteboard.
Yeah, especially since water can’t be compressed. I think he meant it constricts the water to speed it up therefore providing more thrust. English is probably not his first language.
Everything about their description of what makes it a "jet" is marketing (or bs, your choice). Nobody involved understands how a jet actually functions.
Waydoo copied fliteboard fuselage design, as for 3 component setup it was introduced by Awake long before Waydoo existed. Onean carver also had a similar setup for the battery. Waydoo is a great beginner board but no need to over estimate it.
LOL, "the jet is a propeller inside a tube" - umm, no. Claims of high power but no top speed given. hmmm You really MUST start asking what the battery SIZE is when you test these. Claims of riding time mean 0. Weight of the rider? Speed ridden? Times fallen? etc etc ASK the makers "what is the size (in output) of this battery?"
Give it some time. They are well established in jetboarding but vinga is just making first steps in efoil industry, we’ll get more info with more users testing it.
Great riding, looked super!
Great review guys, great overall introduction to the product and the technology behind it, also, you were looking strong on the board Mike! :)
Thanks so much Gustav! Great to see Awake progressing each year!
Great job! Thanks for sharing. I am looking forward to test next week as well ....
Let us know your experience
Thanks for the video I have just purchased an E-foil and cant wait to get it
impressive power from a jet but little bit concerned about weight. loving the plug and play (NO CABLES) solutions!!
Takes all of about 10 seconds to connect all 2 of the cables on my Lift. What part of it gives you the trouble?
Epic review Mike! 👌
Cheers
Really Awesome Moves That Was A Great Video
It was an excellent test video.I love an excellent surfboard.
a very successful project, a lot is explained in the video
very nice video content, well done, I enjoyed watching it
Thanks for the video.
I have just purchased an E-Foil and can't wait to get it.
Hope you enjoy it!

It is a very interesting jet sport, you are working successfully as a team, I learned how it works, thank you 👏👏
The best video I've ever watched
Very interesting new trend of jet efoils. What do you think guys?
👋 is very new upgrade for Efoil, hope to try soon awake Vinga.
Maybe the magnet key is not best solution?

It's a great video, you're really good at this sport
a video full of excitement and adrenaline, I like it, it's fun to watch
Surfing sports tracking movements is an excellent sport. I can't do it myself but I can't stand still while watching
How was the noise compared to Fliteboard 2.2? Sounds like Vinga has a more pleasant lower pitch from the quick clip.
Right Vinga has a more lower pitch, both are not noisy at all, just different sound
I follow you with interest bro, you are making very successful content and videos, congratulations on your work 👍

Good video verry nice job its a great
you have a great ride it's a great machine congratulations
Is it true that with jet nose dont dive if jet gets out of water? When prop gets above water surface a crash (nose dive) is often the result...
yes seems easier with jet to avoid crash
Swimming with the waves should be enjoyable and fun, I would like to try stress. super to throw
It was a great nft, I like it very much, I'm following you
you are really amazing on the water
Surfing is one of my favorite sports, we watched a show

I think really very good video nice beautiful

Yes they have 3 modes of speed
Hadn't thought about the jet kinda locking you into the water vs a prop. I might have to Print up an impeller and housing to replace my prop!
yes good point
why would the prop in a tube "lock" you into the water???
You guys crack me up. ;)
Mike, as you ride folding prop and jet, what to your opinion will be the market standard in a couple years?
It's completely different approach. The folding prop is great for wave riding completely depowered.

I dont' see you falling a lot, you're pretty solid. ;)

I'd like to see a head to head of these against the new Fliteboards

Also the jet compresses the water! thats a bold claim
Yeah, especially since water can’t be compressed. I think he meant it constricts the water to speed it up therefore providing more thrust. English is probably not his first language.

Wot mm is it on the jet drive ???
Sorry I dont know what you mean, maybe you can ask awake support directly
@@JetSurfingNation ok
I would like to ride something like this but I don't have the courage
Thank you Waydoo for the 3 component concept without cables, etc. 😉

It is NOT a jet! It’s a propeller in a housing. You lose efficiency and speed.

No thanks. Fliteboard is so far ahead its not even close.
It's a very nice tool, but how many kg is the weight limit?👍🤌
Great video once again Mike.
Cheers
Great riding, looked super!
Thanks! 👍
