Good stuff! It was foggy here last night, I should have gone out. I kept wanting a light trail photo with some of the cars passing by in your video, haha. That would have been sick in some of those compositions

Really cool seeing you run around the town I live in haha if you come again you should go out to where the hospital is, I'd be curious to see what stands out to you there, and how your eyes capture the surroundings (there's even a dope abandoned compound where the nurses and other staff probably used to stay) ^-^

Love these early morning fog videos a lot! They always makes me wanna go out and shoot in the fog myself! Your town looks very similar to mine too. Sometimes I feel like I recognize some of the landscape. I’m pretty sure you don’t live in Norway though :P

Haha no, unfortunately I don't live in Norway (I would looove to visit though🥺). This here is in Austria - so just a little south from you🙌🏼
I always enjoy your fog photography. Does fog ever make you feel claustrophobic? The thought of it does that to me, but I very much enjoy photography in it.

Thing that i miss in this video is settings
I am directing a horror short film for my high school very soon and as a freshman I am both nervous and excited. Do you have any tips for directing?

Actually yeah - I directed a pretty long short film (40min) in April, which was a super valuable experience.
My most important learnings:
- You're the director, not the controller. Your focus should be on giving the actor or actress as much attention and feedback as possible. Everything else is left to the crew (so the Director of photography should know before the shoot already what style you're going for, so that on set you can decide quickly what to do).
- Direct in emotions, not movements. The actor's or actress' job is to interpret the script and your directing to give you a performance that conveys the story and emotion you're trying to create. Don't tell them when to blink and how to breathe etc. their not a machine that you program.
- Lastly: Show your gratitude. I'm guessing that seeing as you're in highschool you are not paying the crew and everyone is just doing this for the sake of making a film. Don't take this for granted and show your gratitude. I've been on a couple sets in a technical position (mostly AC) and experienced a somewhat arrogant director, which is not fun and can break the sentiment on set.

Wich focal lengh you use in the video, Teo?
For the photos you mean? I shot all with a zoom lens so it varies, but mostly I like to stick to 35mm, 40mm or 50mm🙌🏼
What tripod do you use?
Ahh I'm not sure - I just bought it from a guy in my town who happened to have a lightweight Manfrotto tripod. I think it's called "BeFree" or something like that implying it's light weight🧐🙌🏼
Best camera strap for a7iii?
No idea I use the strap Sony sent with the camera lol😅😂
