Nice! Looking back are there any design parameters you would change (width, thickness, rocker, & etc)? Do you know Dwight and Jacky (formerly supSURFmachines and foilSURFmachines)?
Brian. I’ve got a whole quiver of boards so I usually shape one that fits inbetween boards I already have. This one fits inbetween my 8’ x 26” naish hokua and my 8’x27” brusurf pro. This board performs well in more small hollow waves with the thin rails and shorter profile at 7’6”. It also lets you turn in the pocket better. So it’s good considering I have other boards for other conditions. Naish for big fast waves. Brusurf for mushy small waves. Hope this helps
I thought I’d try a SUP after my 9’ FireWire broke. I absolutely sucked. The only wave I got I actually dropped in in front of a guy who had already had the wave and when I fell the board swung around and almost hit him. I was too focused on padding and had little to no head movement. The woman warned me I needed a big slow starter board I was like that’s not how we roll…she was right. I’ll try it again and take her advice.

Yeah it helps to start big and get the technique down. Otherwise it takes much longer to learn on a small tippy performance board.
@@damandany2k that is a pretty fast board tho
Nice video. How much do you weigh.
Thanks! I weigh 180lbs
Does the Soloshot film you continuously or can you remotely turn it on and off?
It films continuously you can easily edit it using a video editor.
Actually the tag may have the ability to start/stop recording I've just never tried it.
