If a full Nintendo Direct gets announced, this is actually a much smarter move than people give it credit for because now, Xenoblade 3 won’t take up much of the direct aside from a brief mention.
Well it still would’ve been way smarter to have the main direct first and this one slightly after. If they’re going to do two directs they should probably do the one people were expecting first and have this as a “bonus” of sorts, so this one wouldn’t have gotten near as much backlash.
@@JacobPDeIiNoNi that is the way to do it. You have the regular direct first and completely ignore Xenoblade. Then have the xeno direct a few weeks later and get people excited.
Or maybe people need to use their brains and not get their panties in a twist with stuff like this. As if this had any effect on a normal direct. Like “oh no there’s a focused direct on a game I’m not personally interested in? Guess Nintendo won’t ever do normal directs again!” Like how ridiculous is this line of thinking? Nintendo will do it when they want to, just be patient.
@@lanhikari4930 I agree that a regular direct is probably still coming, but you cannot deny that the xeno direct would have gotten less hate had there been a normal direct first. While it’s easy to say people should be smarter and more patient and not see this as replacing the normal direct, which I agree with, that’s not realistic and there’s a very large number of people who WILL see it that way, at least until the regular direct comes.
I can’t wait for this game! I absolutely love the weapon classes, the battle strategy with switching between members on a whim, the fusions with two character, and the plot sounds amazing! As someone who found it difficult to follow the mapping system in XC2, I really appreciate the lit up trail that you can follow, that will make it much easier.

@@withoutthejuice7193 I had a lot of problems with Xenoblade 2, but I will say that, 5 hours in, Torna appears to have addressed most of them. Though I still don't think I'd recommend it to someone that doesn't already at least like 2 - it's still very much tied to that story and, while more streamlined and taught better, those battle mechanics.
The Xenoblade series is probably my favourite of all time but I didn’t think anything could beat Elden Ring as my GotY… looks I’ll change my mind about that
all these character designs confirmed my suspicions: the new armor and outfit designs added to Definitive Edition were them working out the art design for 2. Theresa's a lot of similarities in the designs.
I wonder, if this ties 1 and 2 together,,,maybe Keves and Agnus are the worlds from 1 and 2. Maybe Keves is the what became of Xenoblade 1, since the 3 races seem to be Hom (Noah), High Entia(Eunie) and what seems like Mechon (Lanz), where Angus is Xenoblade 2, with your Hom(Taion), Gormotti(Mio) and Blade (Sena)
If you bought Torna physically, you got a download code for the rest of the DLC. That's who I bought it. they will probably have it priced at $39.99 if they do a physical, that's what they djd with Torna. The physical was $10 extra
Torna was a part of the Expansion Pass for XC2. If you bought the Expansion Pass, you get Torna. Same thing here. You buy the XC3 Expansion Pass, you'll get the new story content and if it's basically a new game like Torna, it'll also be released physically separately.
I feel like it is nuts to believe anything significant would be spoiled in this direct, as if Nintendo doesn't know. The only time they had major spoilers was with Nintendo UK released launch trailers and Xenoblade DE's final trailer, which was the 3rd time that game has been released. (And even then, it only made sense if you have played the game already, it was not like Nintendo UK's spoilers). People are going to go into this game thinking they know everything and still get shocked at every corner.
Really hope there will be mounts in the game(on land), because there is so much you want to explore. But you move so slow in the 2 first games compared to how big the world is
Lol right? I don't usually want things like that in games, but Xenoblade side quests and world design can be a frustrating combo, especially late game. I'll be happy to use it.
Decided to finally watch this after playing the game for over 100 hours. I am glad I waited until now because this does show quite a lot of visual spoilers but of course, you would not be able to parse it unless you played the game first and watched this after. I think the biggest spoiler in this direct was them reveling the 2nd forms. I wish they kept that a secret. That is also the one part of the direct I did get spoiled on. I just finished chapter 5 and it was pretty amazing. While the game does preserve the best features of the first two games, I find that changing time is entirely unnecessary. That just feels like a legacy feature that did not need to be there. As far as I have seen, none of the sidequests, NPCs, or enemies are affected by time of day.
It looks great but I'm not sure about 2 things. I hope there are at least some landscapes that feel new and not almost the same as from 1 or 2. And what about 6 characters all the time. Why even have different healer classes for example if both of them are always with you? Seems pretty easy to always have everybody fighting.
It's a weapon class. You can choose to have 2 of each, have 0 of a specific class, or have everyone be the exact same class. Healers are pretty important this time around, since the *only* way to revive a fallen party member is if your healer takes the time to revive them. If all of your healers have fallen or you don't have any, there's no possible way to revive any fallen party members until you either defeat the enemy or you run from the battle (if possible). As for the landscapes, it's all a combination of 1 and 2, since both worlds merged together. However, the locations are named differently and aren't the same as they were before, which makes them feel new. There's also a lot of new enemy types as well.
Remember that you can also get the Heroes’ (7th party member) class, and they also have Healer classes different from the two of the main party. So you can have different types of healers and this will depend on your playstyle and preferences, because they will have different Arts.
Prediction spoilers alert, is that the bad guys are exactly like the protagonists beings living for 10 years and in some way or another they found out they can get immortal if they fuse and do not want anybody else to fuse so makes conflict between the two races to be gods over them, and whoever gets fused like them they either enlist them or kill them.
